It is clear that naturally occurring micro-organisms are a successful alternative to chemical pesticides for eradicating the diseases that affect fruit, flower and vegetable crops. Isabel Trillas, a manager of Biocontrol Technologies SL, explains the work being carried out by this "spin-off" company from Barcelona University, located at the Barcelona Science Park.
