The Chicago Young Republicans is perhaps the most active, and also most libertarian-leaning YR chapters in the Nation. A longtime Republican Liberty Caucus member Ayn Randian Attorney Laura Kotelman is one of their most active members.

The group sponsors at least 3 to 4 functions a month, including their business meeting, and monthly breakfast, special events like various speakers who come to town (most recently Donald Rumsfeld), and their most popular event especially for singles, the Happy Hour, held the 3rd Wednesday of each month:
