I #39;m Slim Jim Shreeve - slimjimshreeve.com ... This tune was about Mitt Romney who lost to President Obama in the 2012 US elections. Don #39;t get me wrong, I ain #39;t no liberal. I just didn #39;t take to Romney. To me he was a bust out boy, a corporate raider, who destroyed heartland US companies to make a profit. I wrote this tune, not because I supported President Obama, but because I wanted to see the Libertarian candidate Gary Johnson become president of the USA. I think he #39;d have turned the nation around and paved the way to freedom for the world. But it wasn #39;t to be... Bottom line is, I need to change the lyrics to be evergreen -- bad doing a topical song as it doesn #39;t last. Can #39;t play the fucker live as most people have forgotten who the hell Romney was... Still, the whole thing was recorded on my ole four-track and I was playin #39; my ole Sunburst Tele, and if I remember rightly, I was banging a broken up whicker basket for drums.
