The BC Cancer Agency provides province-wide cancer care to British Columbians and research is an essential part of our mission to not only find the causes of cancer, but to find better treatments and improve each patient #39;s quality of life. We #39;ve made incredible strides in the way we understand and treat many cancers mdash; with great success as more people survive cancer each day. What a patient doesn #39;t see is the entire community of specialists working behind the scenes in areas such as; genome sciences, bioinformatics and pathology to ensure that each patient who comes through our doors has the best possible journey, receives the best treatments available and the most compassionate care.
