Delray Beach police investigating woman's body found on beach

Delray Beach police are conducting a death investigation along Atlantic Avenue and S. Ocean Boulevard. Around 5 a.m. Thursday, a beach cleanup crew found a person in the surf. According to police, the body belonged to a female described as middle-aged. She was pronounced dead at the scene. Police say at this point, she does not appear to have any obvious signs of trauma on her. The medical examiner will perform an autopsy.
