Clay Humane, a nonprofit veterinary clinic in Orange Park, has presented an award to Clay County Animal Care and Control recognizing its dedication and compassion in the field of animal welfare in 2014.

GREEN COVE SPRINGS Safe boating course launches on Feb. 21

Boaters born on or after Jan. 1, 1988 must have a Florida Education ID Card to operate any motorized watercraft of 10 horsepower or more on state waters. Any boaters needing that ID can attend the Clay County Sheriffs Office Marine Volunteer Patrol and US Coast Guard Auxiliary Flotilla 14-5s free 1-day Safe Boating Course on Saturday, Feb. 21, at the auxiliary headquarters, 910 Roland Ave. Reservations are required by emailing ccsomvp@gmail.com or (904) 333-0028.
