Chainsaws and Stethoscopes: Kinari Webb at TEDxJakSel
Kinari is an American physician who first came to Indonesia in 1993. In the US, Kinari founded Health in Harmony to support her work in Indonesia and then, in 2006, she co-founded Yayasan Alam Sehat Lestari (ASRI) in West Kalimantan with dentist Hotlin Ompusunngu. Kinari reveals how a near-death experience gave her a new outlook on life and what she needed to do to make her life whole again by providing quality health care to her community. In thespirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations).From:TEDxTalksViews:16 1ratingsTime:18:18More inEducation
