Puri Celebrates Christmas With 500 Santa on its beach
The Christmas mood gathered multiple hues on the beaches in India #39;s holy city of Puri where internationally known Sand Sculptor Sudarshan Patnaik has made 500 Santa Claus in one cluster that itself makes a world record in the Limca Book of World records. The cluster hosting the Santa Claus sculptures made of Sand and treated with Colours gives an enormous view on the beaches of Puri. Sudarshan and his 30 students have made this huge complex of Santa Claus as an extension of their 2009 creation when they made 100 Santa and entered Limca Book of Records. Apart from Christmas feel, the huge complex gives a green message to the tourists as well. Made to make the tourists feel the mood of Christmas, the complex of 500 Santa Claus has really become a huge attraction. Located on the edge of Bay of Bengal in the eastern Indian coasts, Puri is known as the abode of Hindu god Jagannath.
