In this 2010 video, integrative medicine specialist Dr. Graeme Shaw MD is asked "Would you ever agree to have your spleen removed if you had a diagnosis of idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura?" Dr. Shaw responds that there are two primary concerns with splenectomy as a treatment for ITP First, he recommends always trying the simple and natural things first.
