March 19, 2013 – Frontier League (FL) Florence Freedom The Florence Freedom welcome back radio play-by-play broadcaster Steve Jarnicki as he will announce all 96 games during the 2013 regular season in addition to the playoffs should the Freedom qualify. Freedom and Riordan Agree on Contract Extension

November 19, 2012 – Frontier League (FL) Florence Freedom FLORENCE, KY – The Florence Freedom and field manager Fran Riordan have come to 3-year contract extension that will carry through the 2015 season. Inmate family speaks about health care problems

PHOENIX (CBS5) – Some serious concerns have surfaced recently about the healthcare of Arizona’s inmates. Monday the company that the Arizona Department of Corrections contracted to care for inmates issued a statement about the claims. Allegations surfaced nearly two weeks ago when the Arizona Department of Corrections said some of the inmates are not getting their medication, are being exposed to hepatitis C and said one even committed suicide. The Florence Freedom beat Gateway Monday night to advance to the team’s first ever Frontier League championship series. Peter Fatse drove in a career high six runs and Freedom starter Brad Allen threw eight shutout innings as the Freedom came from down two games to one, to win the series with back-to-back wins Sunday and Monday.
