SPECTRUM NEWS VIDEO:The hot summer days are starting to feel a lot like Christmas for local astronomy followers. Next Monday, Central New Yorkers will witness a partial solar eclipse, but other parts of the country will get total blackouts. Several local astronomers are packing their telescopes to get a rare, full view of the eclipse. One man, making a thousand-mile journey to the Tennessee-Kentucky border, says the not-even-three minutes of darkness is well worth the trip.
