'Super computer' claims Champions League awaits Liverpool!

Liverpool have been spoken about as Premier League winners, with players, former Reds and rival managers talking up their title credentials.

Jordan Henderson believes that if the club keep their impressive form up, then a 19th crown could be heading to Anfield. "Obviously we're quietly confident in every game we go into that we ca win and we've just got to keep doing that until the end of the season, and the see where we are," he said.

Well, thanks to the maths whizzes at Bloomberg, we don't have to wait. They've already shown us what the final Premier League table will look like, according to their 'super computer'.Liverpool may not top it, but what we do know is that the Reds will apparently make a triumphant return to the Champions League with the club most likely to finish on 76 points, enough to pip Tottenham to fourth place.

Looking at the graphic below which shows the likelihood of the Reds amassing various points totals we can see that there is an 8.1 per cent chance of Liverpool finishing with 76 points, though Bloomberg estimate that tricky games against Southampton, Man United, Man City and Chelsea await them.

.

Below is the likelihood of Liverpool reaching the required points total that will either see them finish in the top four or force them to settle for a place in the Europa League.

They also calculated that Tottenham, Liverpool's main rivals for Champions League football, have less than a two per cent chance of edging them on points.
