Ambassador of the State of Palestine Accredited – News – Office of the President of the Republic of Seychelles

President Danny Faure was presented with the credentials of the new Ambassador of the State of Palestine to the Republic of Seychelles, H.E Ambassador Hamdi Mansour AbuAli, during an accreditation ceremony held this morning at State House.

President Faure congratulated Ambassador AbuAli on his accreditation and reaffirmed Seychelles commitment to engage closely with the State of Palestine to further cement the friendship two the two countries. He availed of the opportunity to wish the new Ambassador great success in his tenure.

Since the official establishment of diplomatic relations between our two countries in September 1980, Seychelles and Palestine have enjoyed a long friendly relationship based on common values, shared aspirations and mutual respect. We look forward to the strengthening of our cooperation both within the realm of bilateral and multilateral engagements, said President Faure.

On his part Ambassador AbuAli expressed his appreciation for the warm welcome extended to him during his stay in Seychelles. The meeting with President Faure was also an opportunity for the new Ambassador to brief the President on the recent developments in Palestine and discuss potential areas for the two countries to collaborate.

Also present at State House for the accreditation was the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs and the Blue Economy, Ambassador Barry Faure and Department of Foreign Affairs officials.
