President Faure meets with the Board of CEPS – Office of the President of the Republic of Seychelles

President Danny Faure received Members of the Board of the Citizens Engagement Platform Seychelles (CEPS) for a meeting at State House this morning.

The meeting provides CEPS members with a direct opportunity to share with the Head of State their views, and provide feedback in line with the implementation of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed last year between CEPS and the government of Seychelles.

During the meeting, members present also shared their views on numerous National and Community matters such as allocation of National Grants, the construction of a CEPS House, progress of plans for the construction of shelter for victims of domestic violence to be managed by CEPS, the upcoming Volunteer Awards as well as other matters of public concern such as the development of Cap Ternay and National Drug Rehabilitation programme.

Following discussions, President Faure commended the CEPS Team for their hard work and contributions despite various challenges and for their continuous willingness to partner with Government for the advancement of the country. He also expressed hope that through the MoU as the main guiding framework for collaboration, the government and civil society can further strengthen their partnership for the betterment of the people.

Speaking to the Press after the meeting, on behalf of CEPS, the Chief Executive Officer, Mr Michel Pierre, thanked the President for making the time to meet with them and for acknowledging the contributions of CEPS for the benefit of community and the country at large.
