We drove 3 hours through the jungle at 120 miles an hour as the roads where empty as we raced the sun as it set on Chichen Itza on the Winter Solstice December 21/2012 the day the Maya said the sun would return to the center of our milky way galaxy and the planetary alignment would happen and be viewable from the Pyramid of Kukulkhan at Chichen Itza on the winter solstice December 21/2012. It was magnificent and we where escorted past police and security and into the Pyramid that was closed to the public and then while the Pyramid was lit in the darkness by CNN from a reporter that had permission from the government to be their to film the new wonder of the world. A kind reporter escorted us in front of the great pyramid just as the sun set and the alignment was viewable in the spectacular night sky . We ;Janaina DeVieira and William Kirkham made our wedding Vows to each other in front of the great pyramid at the time the maya say the great Kukulkhan was to return to his pyramid . Which the Maya say he told them to build and that this galactic event would take place and be viewable from this exact location on that exact date thousands of years in the past. So they did and So it was and the planets all aligned and energy where amazing. Happens once every 26000 years and this exact location in the Yucatan was build by the civilization with the most accurate astronomy.
