Vt.'s Norwich U to host talk by noted futurist

NORTHFIELD, Vt. (AP) Vermonts Norwich University is going to be hosting a lecture by one of the worlds foremost futurists, who argues abundance for all is within the grasp of the people of the world.

Peter Diamandis is the chairman and CEO of the X PRIZE Foundation. He is scheduled to speak Thursday at 7 p.m. at the Plumley Armory on the schools Northfield campus.

Diamandis is the co-author of a book which lays out a plan by which the world will soon be able to meet and exceed the basic needs of every man, woman and child on the planet.

Diamandiss appearance in Northfield is part of the schools Todd Lecture Series, named in honor of U.S. Army retired Maj. Gen. Russell Todd, who is also Norwich president emeritus.
