EPC South football standings at season's midpoint

Freedom has been the biggest revelation through the first half of the inaugural Eastern Pennsylvania Conference South Division football season.

The Patriots sit alone atop the division standings as the second half of the season begins.

At 5-0 overall and 4-0 in the South, Freedom owns a half-game lead on Whitehall and Easton (both 5-0, 3-0). Whitehall and Easton will meet Friday, with the winner moving into a first-place tie with the Patriots. Freedom plays its second crossover game Friday, hosting Dieruff.

Easton has allowed a division-low 28 points through five weeks. That's an average of 5.6 points allowed per game.
