‘Star Wars’: Adam Driver Hosting First Saturday Night Live Of 2020 – Heroic Hollywood

Fresh off of a busy year withThe Report, Marriage Storyand of course,Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker,Adam Driver is set to host the firstSaturday Night Liveepisode of 2020.

Saturday Night Liveofficially announced that following the holiday season and for much of January, the legendary sketch comedy series will return to the airwaves on January 25, 2020 on NBC. Adam Driver is set to host, with Grammy-nominee Halsey as the musical guest:

This will be the third time Adam Driver will hostSaturday Night Live.He first hosted in 2016 with musical guest Chris Stapleton and for a second time in 2018 with musical guest Kanye West. His 2016 episode is particularly noteworthy, given that it came right after the hype ofStar Wars: The Force Awakensand featured an instant classic sketch in the form of a parody ofUndercover Boss. The sketch involved Adam Driver reprising his role as Kylo Ren and going undercover on Starkiller Base as Matt, the Radar Technician.

Given that this new episode ofSaturday Night Live will come off the heels of the release ofStar Wars: The Rise of Skywalker,it would be fun to see if anotherUndercover Bossparody sketch is produced, and if so, we see the return of Matt, the Radar Technician as well. Either way, it seems likeSaturday Night Liveappreciates Adam Driver enough to bring him back for a third time.
