Edinburgh rider Craig Cook will be the man to stop if Workington Comets are to pick up points this weekend, according to owner Laura Morgan.

Craig Cook

The former Comet, who now rides for Edinburgh Monarchs, is the number one rider in the Premier League and has got off to a superb start this season.

Comets will come up against him twice this weekend as the Comets face the Monarchs in the League Cup.

They travel to Edinburghs Armadale Stadium tonight (7.30pm start) and 24 hours later the Monarchs will head south to Derwent Park (7pm start).

Morgan said: Craig is in the form of his life. He is going to be an incredibly difficult man to stop. Credit to the guy, he is on fire. Exciting racing is what you get with Craig Cook. But we have got a number of guys to give him a run for his money.

Craig Cook will be the man to watch in amongst others.

Comets have had just one competitive match so far this season a 60-31 victory at home to Glasgow in the League Cup.

The return fixture and Rustys Harrisons testimonial were rained off last weekend.
