Bill Leonard, Greenbrook TMS Inc. - President, CEO & Director [2]

Thank you, Lindsey, and thank you to everyone for joining our conference call and webcast today. We are very excited about our Q2 2020 results, which demonstrates our ability to navigate and grow during the challenging operating environment imposed by the COVID-19 pandemic. Overall, we were able to continue to grow our business even more than we expected, exceeding our previously disclosed revenue guidance while finding ways to continue to provide the highest quality services and to protect our patients, employees and physician partners.

Despite the challenging operating environment imposed by COVID-19 pandemic, we showed a resilient performance and sustained strong year-over-year revenue growth. With access to TMS therapy now more essential than ever, we have increased efforts to expand patient interactions virtually and the corresponding increased usage of these platforms by both patients and physicians contribute to this positive result. COVID-19 forced us to adapt and innovate. We expect our learning and experience through these times to provide valuable lessons and strong leverage as we continue to focus on expanding our base of clinics.

Quarterly consolidated revenue for Q2 2020 increased by 21% to $9.8 million as compared to Q2 2019, significantly exceeding our previously disclosed guidance. On a year-to-date 2020 basis, consolidated revenue increased by 44% to $21.2 million. Furthermore, Q2 2020 consolidated revenue of $9.8 million represented a decrease of only 14% as compared to Q1 2020, again, significantly exceeding our previously disclosed guidance.

We added 3 active TMS Centers during Q2 2020 with an additional 12 TMS Centers in development. This brings our total network to 125 Greenbrook Centers, which is an increase of 62% from Q2 2019. We're also particularly proud of our ability to reach new patients during this difficult time. In June, we established a record monthly high and new patient treatment starts, which supports a strong upward trend following the initial impact of COVID-19 and position us well for what we hope to be a strong Q3 and beyond.

And now for a more detailed review of the company's financial and operating performance, I will turn it over to our CFO, Erns Loubser.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Erns Loubser, Greenbrook TMS Inc. - CFO, Treasurer & Corporate Secretary [3]

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Thank you, Bill. As Bill mentioned, despite the impact of COVID-19, consolidated quarterly revenue increased by 21% to $9.8 million in Q2 2020. On a year-to-date basis, consolidated revenue increased by 44% to $21.2 million. Furthermore, Q2 2020 consolidated revenue represented a decrease of only 14% as compared to Q1 2020. This positive result was primarily attributable to the increased efforts to provide greater access to patients virtually, through the expanded use of online platforms and focused marketing efforts on the safety and accessibility of our TMS Centers. The continued development of our TMS Center network by adding 3 active TMS Centers coupled with the Achieve TMS acquisition, also contributed to the strong growth. COVID-19 has increased demand for mental health services, including an increase in psychiatric visitors -- visits and depression and anxiety scripts, which we believe will continue to promote growth as operating conditions normalize.

As expected, same-region sales growth was negative 19% in Q2 2020, but remained positive at 2% on a year-to-date basis. The negative growth experienced in Q2 2020 was directly attributable to the impact of COVID-19. As operating conditions continue to normalize, we believe this metric will revert back to the pre-COVID-19 levels. Average revenue per treatment increased by 5% to $230 in Q2 2020 and by 5% to $234 during the year-to-date 2020 period. This increase was predominantly attributable to an increase in reimbursement rates from certain players with which we've had long-standing relationships in our established regions, and its expansion to more favorable reimbursement jurisdictions.

Moving to regional operating income. In line with our expectations, we incurred a regional operating loss for Q2 2020 of $200,000 as compared to regional operating income of $1 million in Q2 2019. Regional operating income decreased 68% to $500,000 during the year-to-date period 2020. This is from a prior -- this is attributable to a reduction in patient treatments during the period as a result of COVID-19. The regional operating income margin was 2.4% in year-to-date 2020 compared to 11.1% year-to-date 2019, again, due to the impact of COVID-19. Year-over-year corporate -- aggregate corporate costs increased by only 9% to $3.1 million for Q2 2020 and by 35% to $7 million on a year-to-date basis 2020. Quarter-over-quarter aggregate corporate costs, however, decreased by 19% or $750,000 compared to Q1 2020, really illustrating the success of our cost mitigation strategies.

The modest year-over-year increase in corporate G&A and decrease quarter-over-quarter, respectively, is a result of the investment in our business infrastructure and increased staffing of our shared services function in fiscal 2019, coupled with the Achieve TMS acquisition, again, offset significantly by disciplined measures implemented to control costs as a result of COVID-19.

As anticipated, the Q2 2020 and year-to-date 2020 aggregate corporate costs growth rate has decreased significantly as compared to the fiscal 2019, as we continue to scale into our centralized business infrastructure. This is further highlighted by the growth in revenue eclipsing the growth rate in aggregate corporate cost in both Q2 2020 and on a year-to-date 2022 basis. The loss for the period increased predominantly as a result for the earnout -- of the earnout payable to the sellers of Achieve TMS, which demonstrates the strong performance even during these challenging times by that business.

From a balance sheet perspective, accounts receivable increased by 0 -- by $800,000 to $10.9 million in Q2 2020 compared to Q4 2019 and decreased by $100,000 compared to Q1 2020. The company has already started to realize the benefits of the recent enhancements made to the billing and reimbursement system. This is despite the continued number of new TMS Centers with effects of payer contracting and billing system setup impacts to normal cash conversion cycle. And slightly slower reimbursement time lines experienced from payers due to the disruption caused by COVID-19. We expect accounts receivable to continue to stabilize throughout fiscal 2020.

As of Q2 2020, we had approximately $13.6 million in cash on hand, including an unsecured loan of approximately $3.1 million under the United States Paycheck Protection Program received during the quarter. We also completed a public offering of common shares for an aggregate gross proceeds of approximately CAD 15 million during the quarter. The company is using the net proceeds from the offering to fund operating activities and for other working capital and general corporate purposes, effectively strengthening our balance sheet in this current uncertain economic environment.

Moving to our core operating metrics. As of the end of Q2 2020, the total number of TMS Centers increased by 62% to 125 from 77 a year ago. Of the 125, currently, 113 centers are active and contributing to revenue. The number of consultations performed increased by 7% to 2,075 compared to Q2 2019. We increased the number of TMS treatments performed by 16% to 42,581 over Q2 2019. Patient starts increased by 22% to 1,218 compared to Q2 2019.

Our forward-looking indicators were all skewed down as a result of COVID-19 experienced during the quarter. As Bill mentioned earlier, however, we have seen a positive sentiment towards the end of the quarter, established a record monthly high in new patient start in June, which supports a strong upward trend and which we believe will position us well for the next quarter and beyond.

Back to you, Bill.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Bill Leonard, Greenbrook TMS Inc. - President, CEO & Director [4]

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Thanks, Erns. As we mentioned earlier, we have demonstrated our ability to navigate and grow during the challenging operating environment imposed by COVID-19. Overall, we were able to exceed previously disclosed revenue guidance while continuing to provide the highest quality services and protecting our patient, employees and physician partners. We are particularly proud of our ability to reach new patients during this difficult time, and I am confident that our business will emerge even stronger as market conditions continue to normalize. The need for mental health support is an all-time high, and despite a slowdown in development activity, our development pipeline is stronger than ever and prime for expansion when market conditions allow. We have now treated over 13,000 patients with over 460,000 treatments performed. We are closing in on 0.5 million TMS therapy treatments, a significant positive impact on the lives of so many patients suffering from depression. We look forward to keeping you updated on the progress of the company throughout 2020.

Thank you for your time today. And with that, Lindsey, we will now take questions.

Questions and Answers

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Operator [1]

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

(Operator Instructions) Our first question comes from the line of David Newman with Desjardins.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

David Francis Newman, Desjardins Securities Inc., Research Division - Analyst [2]

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Solid results and the trends look positive. So congratulations. I just want to get a little bit more attribution though around your outlook overall. So if you had to go month by month, in terms of patient volumes, revenues, new patient starts and some of the metrics that you guys measure. How did July shape up? And how did June shape up? And how did this kind of trend month-by-month through the quarter? Just so we get a better sense of your optimism for the third quarter, which obviously is looking pretty decent.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Bill Leonard, Greenbrook TMS Inc. - President, CEO & Director [3]

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Yes, great question, David. I think from our perspective, when Q2 started, the initial impact of the pandemic was felt late March and then into the start of Q2 in April. From that point, we did several key items operationally that really helped us start to trend up. I think the first thing we did was really from a marketing perspective was to really get the message out on what shelter-in-place and stay-at-home government mandate meant. We did a great job with utilizing platforms such as TV and news radio to make sure patients understood the need for care of their mental health indications. That was the first thing. Allowing us to utilize the platform virtually really created patients the opportunity to get to us without having to have multiple trips to the center. And then really, we start to see a significant impact and rise in our treatments and new patient starts from really May and then into a record-breaking June. Obviously, I can't speak a lot about July, but I will tell you that I don't believe June will be our forever high watermark for the company for the year.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

David Francis Newman, Desjardins Securities Inc., Research Division - Analyst [4]

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Okay. And do you think you -- as you look out, do you think you could -- it sounds like you could, but I just want to hear your thoughts on it. But do you think you could exceed pre COVID level run rates?

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Bill Leonard, Greenbrook TMS Inc. - President, CEO & Director [5]

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Yes. I mean I continue to see positive trends. I think we are still in the midst of the pandemic, with hotspots popping up throughout the U.S. With that said, there's a different sentiment right now. I think patients were really confused early on the whole government mandates of stay-at-home and shelter-in-place. I think now you're seeing an increase in depression scripts written, you're seeing an increase in psychiatric visits. We've seen numbers of 20% to 30% of new scripts written, which really builds a pipeline for us in the future months ahead. So obviously, I do think the company will continue to grow, as we stated earlier. I think we are in a great position as an organization to take advantage of, unfortunately, the growth in mental health needs. So we feel really confident about the position we're in and expect to see growth in the months to come.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

David Francis Newman, Desjardins Securities Inc., Research Division - Analyst [6]

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

All right, Bill. And then Bill, if you look out, I think your target -- initial target was like 140 centers by the end of this year. And you're not about far off, to be honest. And you've got about 18 months of capital for OpEx and CapEx. I mean how are you thinking about center expansion again? If you're seeing this kind of activity level. So what are you guys thinking in terms of that, in terms of expansion?

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Bill Leonard, Greenbrook TMS Inc. - President, CEO & Director [7]

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Yes. We are still focused on being a growth company. We are really kind of making sure that the trends continue to kind of move upwards. And as far as growth is concerned, like I said earlier, our pipeline has gotten better. One thing COVID did do was create a really strong pipeline for us. We continue to explore opportunities and at the right time, we'll kind of get back on the development train, which we hope to be late this year into Q1.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

David Francis Newman, Desjardins Securities Inc., Research Division - Analyst [8]

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Very good. And the last one for me, guys. Just on the cost cutting efforts, obviously, you did a lot of good things here in terms of your ability to cut costs, including furloughing some employees which are now coming back. And any of the savings that you're -- that you might believe could become more permanent? Often, these are opportunities to come along where -- I mean that COVID is not really an opportunity, but it does allow you to sort of look in the mirror and kind of look at your cost structure and find inefficiencies, and you did cite that you're around USD 1.2 million in discretionary expenses realized. I assume that's an annualized number towards your $2 million target. But anything that could be -- as we're looking to sort of forecasting our cost structure going out, any that's going to be more permanent in nature?

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Erns Loubser, Greenbrook TMS Inc. - CFO, Treasurer & Corporate Secretary [9]

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I think we certainly, as we mentioned, what COVID-19 did, it forced us to innovate. And also, as you mentioned, forced us to look at kind of our cost structure and the optimal cost structure. So I think there's certainly lessons learned how we managed to fairly rapidly take costs out of the cost structure from Q1 to Q2, a $750,000 reduction. So I think there is opportunity and some lessons learned that we can rationalize that and learn going forward as it relates to, for instance, marketing expenses to keep the business even leaner than it was before.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

David Francis Newman, Desjardins Securities Inc., Research Division - Analyst [10]

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

And, Erns. Was that -- was the $750,000, was that actually out of the income statement? Or is that an annualized number?

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Erns Loubser, Greenbrook TMS Inc. - CFO, Treasurer & Corporate Secretary [11]

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

That was actually -- so we had about $3.8 million in corporate G&A in Q1, and we came in about a $3.1 million in -- just below $3.1 million in Q2. So that was actual cost cuts based on kind of our Q1 run rate to our Q2.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Operator [12]

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Our next question comes from the line of Noel Atkinson with Clarus Securities.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Noel John Atkinson, Clarus Securities Inc., Research Division - VP & Research Analyst of Growth and Innovation [13]

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Well done in Q2. I wanted to get your insight about Neuronetics. So they've announced recently some significant improvements in TMS therapy eligibility with several major insurers. And I just wanted to see how you think that flows through to hopefully benefiting Greenbrook?

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Bill Leonard, Greenbrook TMS Inc. - President, CEO & Director [14]

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Yes. We appreciate and applaud the work Neuronetics did to continue to expand accessibility for TMS therapy. As it relates to their announcement yesterday, to me, what I think you're seeing now is the momentum driving as with TMS therapy is close to first-line treatment as possible when you're getting down to 1 to 2 failed cycles of med, compared to when we started, where in 2013, '17, it was 4 to 6 cycles of meds. So I think now that the payers are seeing the results of TMS therapy and the need to support depression modalities, I think you're seeing positive movement. With that said, to me, what I loved about it was the fact that demographically, it opens up the opportunity for us to treat younger patients. Some of the patients in that 18 to 21 range, 22, 23, have not been on 4 or 5 cycles of meds yet. They've only been on 1 or 2, so it allows you to get to that demographic, that younger patient population sooner as opposed to later. There is a lag period. I think, for every 1 or 2 trials you make, it's probably a 6th month lag. So I do think it helps increase the pipeline and expand the demographics late fall -- late winter, early spring for Greenbrook. And we're in a great position to take advantage of it, not only with our footprint, but with our growth. And obviously, we have great doctors and a great patient experience.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Noel John Atkinson, Clarus Securities Inc., Research Division - VP & Research Analyst of Growth and Innovation [15]

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Okay. Great. This might have been asked already, I apologize, I had to step off for a sec. But are you negotiating with any of your landlords in terms of rent forbearance or deferrals or anything like that?

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Bill Leonard, Greenbrook TMS Inc. - President, CEO & Director [16]

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I wouldn't say we're negotiating because unlike some businesses, we actually have been open and seeing patients. We have not closed any of our centers down. So our patients are actively coming to our centers on a day-to-day basis. So it would be difficult for us to negotiate kind of abatement when we are still actively using those centers, which is a good thing as we stayed open during this pandemic.

RedwoodConnect 2.0 Sets Sights On Simplifying TMS Integration – Yahoo Finance

Logistics companies across the sector agree: Integrating transportation management systems (TMS) is cumbersome. Complicated wiring isn't the only thing leaving businesses tangled. Problems such as communication errors, tight deadlines and overwhelmed IT staff often make integration costs spiral out of control.

Chicago-based Redwood Logistics aims to eliminate these inefficiencies and simplify the integration of supply chain technologies with its latest advancement, RedwoodConnect 2.0. The software was first revealed at the FreightWaves LIVE conference in November, where it earned recognition as Best in Show.

In this Freight.Tech Update, presented by Redwood Logistics, FreightWaves Lead Economist Anthony Smith and Eric Rempel, chief innovation officer at Redwood Logistics, discussed the ambitious goal to streamline systems integration for logistics providers both large and small.

"Connect 2.0 has the chance to become the industry's de facto integration tool due to its incredible cost-effectiveness, security and scalability," said Rempel. "Our technology provides small and mid-sized businesses the same tool kit typically reserved for larger enterprises."

Rempel outlined Connect 2.0's objective to democratize supply chain management for logistics providers of all sizes. Users are presented with "plug and play" cloud-led supply chain functionality that simplifies workflows and provides greater avenues for data sharing.

"Connect 2.0 simplifies and streamlines the systems integration process," Rempel said. "It allows our customers to double down on their technology investment in one seamless place by mitigating integration risks and providing a clear path for eliminating legacy debt."

The Connect 2.0 conversation continues in the video below.

Alternative Treatment for Depression: Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) – LVHN News

Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation-Blog

BYBRETTWILIAMSON

For people with depression, treatment can come in many forms and combinations, including talk therapy, prescription antidepressant medication and lifestyle changes. A newer treatment for individuals diagnosed with depression that can be used alone or with those treatments is transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS).

TMS is a noninvasive procedure that uses magnetic fields to stimulate nerve cells in the brain to improve symptoms of depression, says Edward Norris, MD, with LVPG Adult PsychiatryMuhlenberg. Norris, along with the care team at LVPG Adult and Pediatric PsychiatryMuhlenberg, have offered TMS to patients for the past two years.

This unique therapy is especially helpful for people who have not benefited from or cannot tolerate antidepressant medications, he says.

TMS is delivered in an office setting Monday through Friday. The patient is seated in a spa-like chair while a technician provides treatment. During the treatment session, the patient can listen to music or watch TV. A complete course of treatment is comprised of 36 sessions, each lasting an average of 20 minutes.

TMS benefits include:

Our patients have reported improvement in depressive symptoms as early as the first week. However, the majority of individuals have reported improvement between sessions 20 and 30, Norris says.

One study of the long-term benefits of TMS has reported 62.5 percent of the patients studied showed remission, or no symptoms of depression, even one year after initial treatment.1

Science Is Inching Closer To Modifying Our Memories Are We Ready For The Mind Eraser? – Forbes

getty

What if you had access to a technology with the power to short-circuit negative memories before they formed would you do it?

We may not be far away from this science-fiction concept becoming reality, because the technology is already here. Its called transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS), and a new study just showed how it can be used to disrupt memory formation and potentially help treat conditions linked to negative memories, like Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).

TMS already has a long list of studies backing it as a treatment for depression, usually when nothing else works. Its noninvasive (no electrodes in brain tissue needed) and uses magnetic fields to stimulate targeted nerve cells in the brain to trigger a response. In the latest study, TMS was used to interfere with memory consolidation in the prefrontal cortex, seat of our brains executive functions.

"This experimental protocol combining transcranial stimulation and memory reconsolidation allowed us to modify an aversive memory that the participants had learned the day before, said Sara Borgomaneri, a researcher at the University of Bologna and first author of the study.

The study included just under 100 healthy adults who each learned a negative memory and the next day underwent a TMS session targeting their brains prefrontal cortex.

"First, we created the aversive memory by combining an unpleasant stimulation with some images, explained Borgomaneri. "The day after, we presented a group of participants with the same stimulus, which, in their memory, was recorded as aversive. Using TMS immediately afterwards, we interfered with their prefrontal cortex activity.

For comparison, other groups of participants underwent TMS without an aversive memory, and others were stimulated with TMS in brain areas not involved in memory reconsolidation.

"Every time an event is recalled in our memory, there is a limited period of time in which it can be altered, according to study co-author Simone Battaglia. "The protocol we developed exploits this short time window and can, therefore, interfere with the reconsolidation process of learned aversive memories.

To find out if it worked, the research team waited another day and then tested how participants reacted when the memory was recalled. Participants that underwent TMS targeting of their prefrontal cortex showed a reduced psycho-physiological response to the unpleasant stimulus. They could still recall the event but didnt have the same negative response.

Considering what science has uncovered about conditions like depression, panic disorders and PTSD, these results are significant. Research suggests that psycho-physiological responses linked to negative memorieswhat happens in our bodies when negative memory is explicitly recalledis at the core of these conditions (an area of study captured especially well in Dr. Bessel van der Kolks pioneering book, The Body Keeps the Score: Brain, Mind, and Body in the Healing of Trauma).

"With TMS, we could alter the functioning of the prefrontal cortex, which proved to be fundamental in the reconsolidation process of aversive memories," added Borgomaneri. "Thanks to this procedure, we obtained results that, until now, were only possible by delivering drugs to patients.

This is more a proof of concept study than anything else and future research will follow. Whats for certain, however, is were right at the edge of opening new doors into ways of noninvasively manipulating brain processes. A large part of this will no doubt be for the good, as this study suggests, but wed do well to consider other implications that will come right along with the benefits.

The study was published in the journal Cell Biology.

September 1, deadline to present the transfer markets of the summer of 2021 – Explica

After the current market exceptional granted by FIFA and where there are still some leagues such as the French and Dutch, they have not yet notified the period for this imminent summer market; FIFA is already working on the dates of the transfer windows for the next summer of 2021.

08/02/2020 at 11:35

CEST

Thats why that the highest international body has just notified the national federations of the deadline to present them. Textually, FIFA urges all federations that proceed to enter the TMS the two annual registration periods that they have established for next year, that is, from January 1 to December 31, 2021. In it, in addition to the window of the summer of 2021 they must ratify the winter market with which it starts next year.

And the date to do so ends at the end of this month. The Spanish League includes all four categories. It will now be the RFEF that notifies FIFA in category are each of them.

Nashville NeuroCare Therapy Marks 10-Year Milestone in TMS Therapy for the Treatment of Depression – PRNewswire

NASHVILLE, Tenn., July 28, 2020 /PRNewswire/ --Nashville NeuroCare Therapy, the flagship neuroCare Centers of America clinic in Tennessee, today announced it is celebrating its 10-year anniversary of providing Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) Therapy for depression, as the company continues to focus on leveraging innovative technologies and its personalized care approach of providing medication-free treatment options.

The FDA cleared TMS Therapy for clinical use in 2008. This revolutionary technology has quickly become the new standard of care for treatment-resistant depression and Major Depressive Disorder (MDD) as a proven safe and effective non-drug treatment option.

TMS Therapytechnology targets neuronal-networks that cause depression in a way no other treatment method can. It utilizes MRI-strength magnetic pulse technology to non-invasively excite neuronal networks in the brain involved in mood regulation. TMS Therapy improves regional blood flow and metabolic activity, as well as facilitates the production of neurotransmitters important in mood regulation.

Nationally recognized, board-certified psychiatrist, Dr. W. Scott West blazed the trail for TMS Therapy in Tennessee as the first physician to offer this advanced technology in 2010 and serves as the clinic's medical director.

"These last 10 years have been an amazing experience for me both personally and professionally," said Dr. W. Scott West, Medical Director at Nashville Neurocare Therapy. "The advent of TMS technology is truly a leap forward in depression care, and I'm very pleased to be able to be part of this patient care revolution."

With 30+ years of experience in the treatment of clinical depression and his pioneering efforts in TMS Therapy, Dr. West was the top choice for neuroCare Centers of America's U.S. expansion as the organization researched the Nashville market. Nashville NeuroCare Therapy represents Tennessee's most experienced and largest provider of TMS Therapy. The company maintains some of the industry's best clinical outcomes, collectively having treated 600+ patients and administering more than 18,000 TMS treatment sessions.

Nashville NeuroCare Therapyuses NeuroStar TMS technology and is one of 108 practices to participate in the company-sponsored TMS Clinical Outcomes Registry. The Outcomes Registry collected TMS Therapy patient outcomes data spanning September 2016 May 2020, which included 5,230 patients and demonstrated that TMS Therapy could transform the lives of patients suffering from depression. The physician-rated data showed that 73 percent of patients respond well, and 52 percent of patients achieve full remission when completing a full course of TMS Therapy.

The NeuroStar Outcomes Registry is now the largest dataset in the treatment of major depression field, surpassing the U.S. government's National Institute of Mental Health STAR*D (Sequenced Treatment Alternatives to Relieve Depression) study that tracked clinical results for 3,671 patients with major depression.

Nashville NeuroCare Therapyis accepting patients at both its Green Hills and Cool Springs clinic locations.

Pokmon: 5 TMs You Can Buy That Are Absolutely Not Worth The Money (& 5 That Are) – TheGamer

Experienced Pokmon players will know just how important a good moveset is, as well as how crucial good TMs can to making them. Often, a Pokmons natural learnset just isnt up to snuff. Fan favorite Mewtwo, for instance, is a special attacking powerhouse, but without TMs itll mostly have terrible moves like Swift to choose from.

RELATED: Ranking The 10 Best TMs In Pokmon Generation 1

Whether youre breeding competitive Pokmon or just playing through the story, TMs offer quick and convenient access to some of the very best moves in the game (more convenient than ever now that they can be used unlimited times, unlike the TRs of Pokmon Sword & Shield). Some are available in stores and should be snapped up, while others can be an utter waste of money. Here are some Sword & Shield TMs you should steer clear of buying, alongside others youll want to make a beeline for.

With its premium price tag (50,000 Pokmon Dollars at the Battle Tower) and impressive-sounding name, you might think this Psychic-type status move would be a powerhouse worth acquiring. Sadly, though, in 99% of situations it just wont be.

What does it do? Switches the Defense and Special Defense stats of all Pokmon for a brief time. Now, there are a lot of advanced strategies to employ in Pokmon battles, but this move is probably one of the most difficult to pull off successfully. Its about as niche as it gets.

Trick Room has a lot in common with Wonder Room, being a status move that alters the state of the battlefield for five turns. In this case, however, its an incredibly powerful effect, perhaps the strongest that those terrifying Psychic-types have in their arsenal.

Trick Room reverses the turn order while its in effect, making the slowest Pokmon move first and the fastest move last. Its a devastatingly powerful and popular strategy, and only four Pokmon learn the move naturally: Porygon-Z, Oranguru, Diancie and Hoopa (both forms). This TM is a Battle Tower must-buy.

Now, were not about to snark on Normal-types here. They can be fantastic assets to teams, with their single weakness and super handy Ghost-type immunity. Its just that Normal STAB isnt super effective on anything so isnt as valuable, while Normal-type coverage moves basically arent a thing at all.

RELATED: 5 Reasons Its Important To Have A Normal-Type Pokmon On Your Team (& 5 Not To Bother)

Mega Kick, while very powerful at base 120, is mostly redundant. Once the signature move of Hitmonlee (which didnt get STAB on it), its a stronger, 75% accurate counterpart to Mega Punch, which is four times more expensive at 40,000 P from the rightmost Hammerlocke Pokmon Center. Feel free to skip this one.

If youre primarily a singles battler, you might not see very much use for Protect at all. Its much more niche in that format. Experienced doubles battlers, meanwhile, have surely used this invaluable TM over and over.

Protect simply shields the user from (almost) all damage for a turn, making it an essential part of many doubles Pokmons movesets (watch out for Dynamax/Gigantamax moves, though). Predicting which of your critters the opponent will target and keeping them safe in this way is the key to play in this format. One of the greatest Normal moves ever,Protect is an absolute bargain at 10,000 P and should be immediately nabbed from Motostokes leftmost Pokmon Center.

Also weighing it at 10,000 P, from a Hammerlocke Pokmon Center this time, we have TM35, Hail. This Ice-type status move is well, not one of the best that Ice-types have to offer.

Weather effects are astonishingly powerful strategies to build teams around. Rain, sun and sand are all very powerful in their own ways, offering passive boosts to certain typings and activating a range of useful Abilities (such as Swift Swim and Chlorophyll, which double the Pokmons Speed in rain and sun respectively). While hail has had a recent buff in the shape of the Slush Rush Ability (the equivalent of the aforementioned ones) and Aurora Veil, it remains the weakest of the weathers. When it is seen, its almost never set manually, making Hail the weakest of the weather-based TMs.

Next, were crossing over to Wyndon, where the Pokmon Center on the right side of the city offers the elemental punches as TMs. Fire Punch (TM03), Ice Punch (TM04) and Thunder Punch (TM05) are available here for 50,000 P each. All these moves provide excellent coverage options for physical attackers (though they do lack a little in raw power), but weve plumped for Ice Punch here.

Because Ice-types are weak to well, basically everything ever, the typing offers great offensive coverage in return. Dragon, Flying, Ground and Grass are all hit super effectively, with some key x4 weaknesses to boot. Tailor your choice to fit your team, but all three of these TM options can be great.

While youre in that Wyndon Pokmon Center, youll also notice Solar Blade available. This TM can be tempting, as its 125 base power will claim the soul of any Pokmon that doesnt appreciate Grass-type attacks. The trouble is, though, its a two-turn move, which tends to instantly make an attack unviable.

RELATED: Pokmon: The 10 Most Powerful Grass Moves, Ranked

In the sun, it doesnt require that charge turn, and it can also be mitigated with the use of a Power Herb. However, this makes it very restricting and unreliable outside of favorable weather or Dynamax. Its not the most efficient way to use your held item slot either. It can be very powerful, yes, but its so awkward to use.

Off we go back to Motostoke now, to claim a pair of TMs that we just couldnt choose between. Light Screen and Reflect have always been two sides of the same excellent coin, the cornerstone of many offensive and defensive strategies alike.

Light Screen halves the damage your team takes from special attacks for five turns, while Reflect has the same effect on physical damage (both can be extended to eight turns if the users holding Light Clay). Aurora Veil and Laprass G-Max Resonance sets both effects at once, though the former is only available in hail and the latter has obvious limitations. So-called dual screen Pokmon pack both of these moves and use the appropriate one for the situation, so youll want to grab both if this strategy appeals. Just watch out for Galarian Mr. Mime and Mr. Rime, as their exclusive Ability Screen Cleaner cancels out the effect of these moves entirely while its in battle (even for its own team)! Presumably the one above doesn't have that Ability.

As weve mentioned, Normal-type STAB isnt exactly the most sought-after. It can certainly leave a heck of dent, though, as when it comes to incredibly strong moves like the infamous Hyper Beam.

This special attack boasts great power, theres no denying. Aside from that and its super neat animation, though, we really cant recommend this one outside of very niche cases (such as Pixilate Sylveon, which sometimes rocks this for when it really needs to take something out). Its hugely appealing to newer players for its high base power, but this is another Wyndon TM youll probably want to leave in the store.

To close out our list, we have our most expensive TM of all: Imprison, which costs 100,000 P at the Battle Tower. What are you getting for your money? One of the most situational yet potentiallly devastating moves in the game, thats what.

This Psychic-type status move prevents opponents in play from using any move that the user also has. As such, it can be fantastic in doubles matches, denying the use of format mainstays like Trick Room and Protect. It wont come into play every match, but it can be deadly. Trick Room stategies are more popular than ever just now, and you might be surprised how much use you get from this move in competitive play.

The events surrounding the Dura Lube 300 on Sept. 17, 2000 likely will be revisited this afternoon when Burton, in his role as NASCAR analyst for NBC Sports Group, covers the Foxwoods Resort Casino 301 at New Hampshire Motor Speedway (3 p.m., EDT, NBC Sports Network). But on that overcast race day nearly 20 years ago, the late Bob Bahres 1.058-mile oval was known as New Hampshire International Speedway _ and it was enveloped in controversy.

Kenny Irwin Jr., 30, had been killed at NHIS on July 7, 2000 in a crash during a Cup Series practice session. Irwins fatality occurred at almost the same spot in Turn 3 where 19-year-old Adam Petty _ grandson of King Richard and son of Kyle _ died on May 12, 2000 during a Busch Series practice. In both instances, reports cited stuck throttles with sending the respective cars head-on into the Turn 3 wall during a time before the mandated installation of SAFER Barriers.

In a bid to reassure its competitors and the public that the flat, paperclip-shaped NHIS layout was safe for big-time auto racing, NASCAR opted to slap restrictor plates onto the engines of each Cup car for the fall event. Plates had been in use only on the high-banked/2.5-mile Daytona International Speedway and 2.66-mile Talladega Superspeedway since 1998 to restrict an engines ability to create horsepower. While mandating plates didnt necessarily address the throttle issue, it did drop speeds by approximately 10 mph.

Burton qualified second to pole-sitter/championship-leader Bobby Labonte, immediately jumped to the front and went on to lead all 300 laps around the Magic Mile. Burton, driver of the No. 99 Exide Batteries Ford Taurus fielded by Jack Roush, said that rather than complain about the plate mandate, he and crew chief Frankie Stoddard were very focused on trying to get stuff done. To that end, Burton joined Steve Park, driver of the No. 1 Chevrolet fielded by Dale Earnhardt Inc., in a test on the Wednesday before the NHIS race at The Milwaukee Mile in West Allis, Wis.

At New Hampshire, when they put restrictor plates on the cars, we didnt complain about it, we just went to work, Burton recalled during a phone interview with RacinToday.com. We went to Milwaukee and tested and were really good at that _at not getting caught up in complaining. We were just really focused on us.

The race ended under caution when Sterling Marlins No. 40 Chevy blew a tire with three laps remaining, capping the safe and uneventful day the sanctioning body desperately needed. Burtons average speed in a race slowed for 42 laps by seven caution flags was 102.003 mph.

Burton also had won the Pepsi 400 at DIS in July, giving him two consecutive victories in restrictor plate races. This was a lot different, Burton said. Anytime there is big change and you do well you have a lot of pride.

That workmanlike approach, Burton noted, had carried him to his first Cup win in another controversial race. Burton posted the first of his 21 Cup victories in the inaugural Interstate Batteries 500 at Texas Motor Speedway on April 6, 1997 before a crowd of over 200,000 in Fort Worth.

It started at the test, said Burton, then paired with veteran crew chief Buddy Parrott on the No. 99 team. I went out there in a rental car and about wrecked coming off Turn 4. I almost hit the wall and immediately went, Oh my God! All we kept hearing is, Its just like Charlotte and I made a lap in a rental car and Im like, This is NOTHING like Charlotte. It was sketchy. Like, if you missed a groove you were going to wreck. It was a mess.

But our team was really good at this. We didnt do a whole lot of complaining about race conditions. It was what it was. And if you look at our wins, we really won races where we had adverse situations. So that approach led into the race (at TMS). This is going to be really difficult, but were in control of this. That attitude was really a lot of what helped us on that day.

Jeff Burton has vivid memories of racing at Texas Motor Speedway. (RacinToday/HHP file photo by Harold Hinson)

That goes into the year before as well. The year before that we had started the No. 99 team and had come really close to winning some races. And there were times we looked like a really, really good experienced team and there were times we looked like a very inexperienced and immature team. We were putting ourselves in a position to win and we just werent pulling it off. We just werent making it happen. I mean, we were a brand new team. Hell, we didnt have a car. We didnt move into our shop until after Thanksgiving (1996), so we were just crawling. So that year and early in 1997 was kind of the culmination of all that stuff.

Somewhat fittingly, the native Virginian also became the first repeat Cup winner in Fort Worth by leading the 334th and final lap in the No. 31 Chevrolet Monte Carlo fielded by Richard Childress Racing during the Samsung 500 on April 15, 2007.

Burtons NASCAR resume at TMS also features a celebrated physical confrontation with four-time Cup champion Jeff Gordon. Unfortunately, its really high on my list. Its one of the moments I really regret, said Burton, referring to the crash and resulting backstretch shoving match involving Gordon during the AAA Texas 500 on Nov. 7, 2010. Burton admittedly initiated the contact _ under caution _ after an incident that began to unfold through Turns 3 and 4.

Its one of the few things that are kind of humorous after the fact, but one of those moments I wish I could have taken back, Burton said. Jeff and II think we were running 17th and 18th and thats where the problems start _ were both running frustrated and both mad and both of our angers got the better of us. Its one of those moments I look back on and am not proud of.

Still, all those moments have shaped the perspective Burton now brings to the TV audience. And in his role as NASCAR dad, every hot lap is central to the advice Burton is passing onto 19-year-old son Harrison in his fledgling Xfinity Series career.

You have to have a code in which youre going to race, said Burton, 53. Youre going to race people a certain way. And when you race people that way, you should expect that they race you that way.

That advice came into play after the Alsco 200 Xfinity race at Kentucky Speedway on July 17. Noah Gragson drifted into Harrison Burton during a restart with 13 laps to go, sending both cars into the outside wall and out of contention for possible top-five finishes. Burton confronted Gragson post-race, with a conversation escalating to the point where Burton shoved Gragson in the chest. Gragson, 22, responded with a right cross that caught Burtons ear before NASCAR officials and crewmen ended the scrum.

Burton, who drives the No. 20 Toyota Supra for Joe Gibbs Racing, said he was frustrated with Gragson after a similar incident this season at Charlotte Motor Speedway with the No. 9 Chevy Camaro fielded by JR Motorsports.

Harrison and I didnt ever have conversations about, Well, you need to learn how to fight,^ Jeff Burton said. Im not the dad that hugs my kids when they get in a fight. Im the dad that believes that your kids need to treat people the way they want to be treated, and theres times that you have to make a stand. And I thought that Harrison would be making a mistake to leave that racetrack without letting Noah know how he felt.

At the same time, Burton reiterated he is a TV analyst and an easy target of social media second-guessing when it comes to nepotism.

Im not able to just be a dad, Burton said. Noah Gragson deserves to know that Im going to be fair to him, too. I see Noah as a young driver that in the offseason has decided he needs to make a mark. Hes said, I dont know what Im doing next year. I dont know what I got going on. He has told us in interviews with our NBC crowd, They dont ask how youve won, they ask how many youve won. So heres a young man trying to make his way in racing and hes decided hes going to push the barriers in an effort to get what he needs out of the sport.

I have to respect that, too. My situation is unique. I dont get to pick a side.

The TV booth has been Burtons second garage area since joining NBC in 2015. As has been the case during the current COVID-19 pandemic, Burton will be covering Sundays race from a booth at Charlotte Motor Speedway in Concord, N.C. That facility has two individual booths, with Burton and former Hendrick Motorsports Cup superstar Dale Earnhardt Jr. in one and lead announcer Rick Allen and former Hendrick Motorsports Cup crew chief Steve LeTarte in another. The crew works off monitors and screens covering the entirety of the track.

Were doing our best to simulate being at the track without being at the track, said Burton, whose transition from driver to analyst has been relatively seamless. Still, prep work certainly is part of his weekly routine.

Were pretty low on meetings (at NBC), said Burton, whose network nickname is Mayor of the Cup garage. We typically have a meeting during the week that lasts 30 to 45 minutes at the most. And then well have a get-together when we first arrive at the track _ six-seven of us at the most _ and have a conversation. Thats about it.

Burton said he keeps in near constant contact with crew chiefs, car-owners and crew members during a typical week. Ive learned that texting is the most effective way and the texts many times lead into a phone conversation, Burton said. Its reading articles. Its reading stuff the teams put out. Its going back and listening to interviews. Its the texting and calling that I do myself. We do ZOOM meetings with drivers.

So I dont know how to put a timeframe on it because with social media youre constantly following the drivers, the teams and all that. I dont want to say its all the time, meaning Im just sitting in my house looking at Twitter and Instagram and press releases and all that. But youre constantly checking on things.

And despite his natural gift-of-gab, Burton admitted to once being lost for words on-air. Oh, yeah. The one that really sticks out is the very first race that I did, when Austin Dillon got into the fence at Daytona, Burton said.

Recall that the finish of the Coke Zero 400 on July 6, 2015 was marred by a crash that catapulted Dillons No. 3 Chevrolet from the bottom of the track, over two rows of speeding cars and into the catchfence at DIS. Shredding parts and pieces, the car slammed back onto the track on its roof and spun to a halt. Miraculously, Dillon exited the wreckage with help from safety workers and waved to the crowd.

It happened almost right below us and the view I had was terrifying, Burton said. I know Austins dad (Mike Dillon) really well and his grandad (team-owner/former boss Richard Childress) really well and at that point, I was at a loss for words. And theres times you really dont need to say anything. Its important to remember Im an analyst, and Rick, hes our voice. And in moments like that its best to just step out and let Rick handle it. But that one time really sticks out, for sure.

Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) Therapy …

If your major depression has proven resistant to other treatment, TMS may be an option. Heres how its used in the treatment of depression and other mood disorders. What is transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS)?

Transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) is a noninvasive treatment that directs recurring magnetic energy pulses at the specific regions of the brain that are involved in mood control. These magnetic pulses pass painlessly through the skull and stimulate brain cells which can improve communication between different parts of the brain. When these TMS pulses are delivered at regular intervals it is known as repetitive TMS (or rTMS). Exactly how TMS works is unclear, but the stimulation seems to have a lasting effect on how the brain functions, which can ease depression symptoms and boost your mood.

Magnetic pulses going into your brain might sound scary or even conjure up images of shock therapy portrayed in movies such as One Flew Over the Cuckoos Nest. However, the pulses used in TMS therapy are actually the same type and strength as the magnetic pulses used in MRI machines and are considered very safe. And unlike electroconvulsive therapy (ECT), TMS doesnt require any kind of sedation or post-therapy downtime, and comes without any memory or cognition side effects. In fact, for most people TMS has fewer side effects than antidepressant medications.

Thus far in the United States, transcranial magnetic stimulation therapy has only been approved for the treatment of major depressive disorder. While depression is a treatable condition, TMS is typically used when standard treatments such as therapy, medication, and self-help techniques have proved ineffectiveor, in the case of medication, the side effects are too severe. In many European countries, however, TMS is approved for a multitude of other common conditions including:

TMS has even shown promise in off-label treatment of conditions such as tinnitus, fibromyalgia, Tourette syndrome, autism spectrum disorder, and multiple sclerosis.

Depression can take a heavy toll, changing how you think, feel, and function in your daily life. While many people are able to gain relief through self-help, therapy, medication, or a combination of these treatments, for others the sense of hopelessness never lets up. If youre suffering from major depression thats proven resistant to other treatment, then transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) therapy may be an option. Just as antidepressant medication aims to stimulate your brain chemically, TMS does the same using magnetic fields.

A variety of TMS systems are available, including:

Surface transcranial magnetic stimulation (surface TMS) devices use a figure-of-8 magnetic coil which can penetrate 0.6 inches under the skull to reach specific brain regions.

Deep transcranial magnetic stimulation (dTMS) devices use a larger H-coil which allows the magnetic energy to penetrate deeper into the brain, up to 1.6 inches below the skull.

Rapid TBS (theta burst) therapy devices are considered just as safe and effective for the treatment of major depressive disorder as standard TMS, but these devices require sessions of just 3-6 minutes rather than the 20-40 minutes required by most TMS devices.

There are also simple brain stimulation devices that have been cleared by the FDA in the U.S. for use at home. However, these are not strictly TMS devices. Rather, theyre classed as Cranial Electrotherapy Stimulation (CES) units which useelectric currents instead of magnetic pulses to stimulate the brain. The true effectiveness of these devices seems to be up for debate. As with any medical treatment for depression, its important to discuss the best options with your doctor.

Most published trials have yielded results supporting the use of TMS to improve cases of treatment-resistant depression. For people with major depression that hasnt benefited from medication, just over half experience improvements in their symptoms with TMS, while about one in three gain total remission from their symptoms.

That doesnt mean that TMS is a cure for depression and that your depression symptoms wont return, though. In fact, the positive results from transcranial magnetic stimulation tend to last for an average of about a year after treatment. However, its important to remember that depression is not just the result of a chemical imbalance but is caused by a combination of biological, psychological, and social factors. In other words, your lifestyle choices, relationships, and coping skills likely contribute to your depression just as much as your genetics. Therefore, you can use the improvements in your energy and drive following TMS therapy to begin talk therapy or make the lifestyle changessuch as improving your diet, exercising, and building your support networkthat can help preserve your depression recovery in the long term. See Coping with Depression.

TMS is a relatively short, noninvasive, outpatient treatment. That means that it doesnt involve surgery, theres no anesthesia or sedation required, and no down time needed afterwards. You stay awake and alert throughout the treatment. TMS therapy is also non-systemic, which means that it has no effect on other areas of your body as antidepressants can.

A typical TMS treatment course includes daily sessions (5 times per week) for 4 to 6 weeksthough some people find it helpful to occasionally return for maintenance treatments following the initial treatment course. A TMS session generally lasts 20 to 40 minutes, although some new devices require sessions as short as 3 minutes.

During your TMS treatment, the clinician will seat you in a comfortable chair, provide you with earplugs, and then place a magnetic coil on your head, near the area of the brain thought to be involved in mood regulation. In the case of depression, this area is the prefrontal cortex beneath your forehead.

Short electromagnetic pulses are then administered through the coil. The magnetic pulses easily pass through your skull, and cause small electrical currents that stimulate nerve cells.

After TMS treatment is complete, youre able to go straight back into your day, drive back to work or home, and continue on as normal.

Unlike the oldest brain stimulation therapy, electroconvulsive therapy (ECT), TMS has no effect on memory or mental clarity. It also avoids the negative side effects of sedation required for ECT. While TMS isnt totally free of side effects, the most commonly occurring are mild, usually headaches and scalp discomfort. While about half of TMS patients report headaches, they typically respond well to over-the-counter pain medication and tend to diminish over the course of treatment.

About a third of patients report painful scalp sensations or facial twitching during the magnetic pulses, which also tend to diminish over the course of the treatment. Repositioning the coil and adjusting the stimulation settings can also help to reduce these mild side effects.

The most serious risk of TMS is the possibility of producing a seizurebut the risk is very small at around .001%. While there have been only a few documented cases of seizures occurring due to TMS treatment, if you have a high risk of seizureif you have epilepsy or a history of head injury, for examplethen youre unlikely to be a candidate for TMS.

TMS has been approved in the U.S. for just over 10 years and so far, there are no reported lasting negative effects associated with the treatment.

However, it is important to remember that this treatment is relatively young at 10+ years old, so there simply has not been enough time to study the long-term effects. With time and more research, understanding on the long-term effects will improve.

In addition to those with epilepsy or a family history of seizures, TMS is not suitable for several other types of patient. Since TMS uses magnetic energy, people who have metal in their head or neck are not able to receive TMS, with the exception of braces or dental fillings.

Examples of metal objects that would prevent TMS treatment include:

Sebi allows acceptance of client securities as collateral by way of title transfer till August 31 – The Financial Express

Markets regulator Sebi on Wednesday allowed co-existence of the current title transfer collateral mechanism and the new pledge and re-pledge process till August 31.

The decision has been taken in view of the prevailing situation due to the COVID-19 pandemic and partial lockdowns in various areas of the country.

Besides, the regulator received representations from stock brokers regarding changes to the systems and software development.

In a circular, the Securities and Exchange Board of India (Sebi) said the mechanism of pledge and re-pledge will be implemented with effect from August 1.

Trading members (TMs) or clearing members (CMs) need to align their systems and accept client collateral and margin-funded stocks by way of creation of pledge and re-pledge in the depository system.

It further said TM or CM will also be allowed to accept client securities as collateral by way of title transfer into the client collateral account as per the present system.

The system of parallel acceptance of the client securities by way of title transfer shall be available only up to August 31, 2020, and no further extension shall be granted, Sebi said.

Funded stocks held by the TM or CM under the margin trading facility will preferably be held by them by way of pledge with effect from August 1.

It further said trading or clearing member may continue to hold funded stocks in respect of margin funding in client margin trading securities account till the end of August.

The regulator reiterated that trading or clearing member will have to close all existing demat accounts tagged as client margin or collateral by August 31.

Earlier in the day, the Association of National Exchanges Members of India (ANMI) has written to Sebi and the finance ministry seeking them to consider granting extension of implementation of Sebi circular for the next two months and allow the existing system of crediting the funded stock to earmarked funded stock DP account.

In February, Sebi had issued stringent norms to prevent misuse of clients securities that are available with trading and clearing members, and depository participants.

It had banned transfer of clients securities to demat accounts of trading and clearing members.

Under the framework, TM or CM will accept collateral from clients in the form of securities, only by way of margin pledge, created in the depository system, with effect from June 1. This was extended to August 1.

Sebi said depositories should provide margin pledge for pledging clients securities as margin to the TM or CM. The latter should open a separate demat account for accepting such margin pledge, which should be tagged as client securities margin pledge account.

For the purpose of providing collateral in the form of securities as margin, a client shall pledge securities with TM, and TM shall re-pledge the same with CM, and CM in turn shall re-pledge the same to clearing corporation (CC).

The complete trail of such re-pledge shall be reflected in the demat account of the pledgor, Sebi had said.
