The game #39;s protagonist is a young man named Jason Brody who is trying to survive and escape from the hostile islands. Jason is a tourist stranded on the tropical island and the protagonist of the game. The morning after his arrival to the tropical island, Jason wakes up to discover his girlfriend Liza has been kidnapped, his friend Doug is murdered, and the island is populated with psychotic mentalists. Vaas is the main antagonist of North Island. After spending too long on the island, Vaas has become insane and sadistic. He has a sister named Citra, who wants him dead. Hoyt is the main antagonist of the Southern Island. He is a slave trafficker operating on the archipelago, and has hired his own Privateer army to defend him and his business. The game also features a competitive multiplayer mode, a map designer for multiplayer, and, for the first time in a Far Cry game, a 2-4 player co-op campaign which is set six months before the single-player campaign. Japanese Fighter Jets Respond to Chinese Challenge Over Disputed Islands

China once again challenged Japanese claims to a disputed set of islands in the East China Sea, this time by sending a plane to patrol the area, which prompted Japan to scramble its own air force. On Thursday morning, Japan launched eight F-15 fighter jets to intercept the small patrol plane that belongs to the China's OceanAdministration. That plane reportedly broadcast China's own claims overthedisputed island chain, ordering Japanese coast guard vessels out of the area, but by the time the Japanese aircraft arrived the Chinese plane was gone. Japan has already lodged a formal protest with Beijing.

The incident may spark a new round of street protests on both sides of the China Sea, much like the ones that were seen in September when Japan announced it was buying the islands they call Senkaku from private owners. Thesovereigntyof the tiny chain ofuninhabitedislands has been in dispute for more than 40 years, since Chinadeclareda historical claim to land dating to the 14th century. Over the years there have been several showdowns between boats, both civilian and military, in the waters off the island chain, but this is the firstincidenttoinvolveaircraft.

Japan has effectivelycontrolledand maintained the islands since the late 1800s, though they were actually owned by a private family until September, when the government paid to nationalize theterritory.China objected, leading to a flurry of anti-Japanese protests on the mainland that mostly targeted Japanese-owned businesses.

While the two sides may not be willing to go to war over a set of empty (though potentially oil-rich) rocks, a strong sense of national pride prevents either country from backing offtheir claims.It doesn't help matters that today marks the 75th anniversary of the start of the occupation of Nanking, perhaps the most brutal of war-timeatrocitiescommitted by imperial Japanesesoldiers during the 1930s and continuing source of hostility between the two nations.

Cayman Islands premier says he will not step down

KINGSTON, Jamaica (AP) -- The leader of the Cayman Islands government on Thursday rejected calls to resign over his arrest on suspicion of corruption, calling the investigation a plot by political enemies who are trying to weaken him and smear his reputation.

Premier McKeeva Bush shrugged off the allegations during a visit to Jamaica's capital on Thursday, two days after he was arrested by the British Caribbean territory's police and a day after being released on bail until early February.

The Royal Cayman Islands Police Service said they are looking into allegations that Bush misused his government credit card and abused his office by importing explosive devices without valid permits. He was arrested at his home on Grand Cayman on Tuesday morning and interviewed by investigators for two straight days.

No charges have been filed, but police describe their investigation as "very active."

There has been a growing call for Cayman's leader to step down since his arrest, which surprised many supporters and critics in the famed Caribbean tax haven. But after giving a commencement address to college graduates in Kingston, a defiant Bush said he has done nothing wrong and intends to stay on as premier.

Bush described Gov. Duncan Taylor, who represents the British monarchy in the three-island territory, as his "enemy." He implied his arrest was orchestrated by the Britain-appointed governor and other political foes.

"We are a British overseas territory and as such it is run by the governor and the commissioner of police. And so I can't miss that it is nothing but a political, very vindictive political witch hunt," Bush said.

A spokesman for the governor, whose post is largely ceremonial, did not immediately respond to an email seeking comment.

In Jamaica, Bush said he wanted to reveal the "whole story" behind his arrest but his lawyers advised him not to speak specifically about the allegations. He said he was confident he will be vindicated in coming months.

"I would just say that I have done nothing wrong," he said. "I have made a lot of friends and I have made a lot of enemies. There are a lot of jealous people in a very small island."

Video I took of the Boat Canadian Transfer on Lake Superior. She was leaving the Port of Thunder Bay Ontario and was up to speed as she passed the Welcome Islands while we were out in my boat. This was back in 2006 and the boat has since been renamed Algoma Transfer. Cayman Islands leader freed on bail as corruption probe continues

GEORGE TOWN, Cayman Islands (Reuters) - The embattled leader of the Cayman Islands was released on bail after a second day of questioning on Wednesday, following his arrest on suspicion of theft and corruption in the notoriously secretive offshore Caribbean financial center.

Premier McKeeva Bush, a veteran politician and head of one of the world's best-known tax havens, was detained on Tuesday at his home by members of the Financial Crime Unit of the Royal Cayman Islands Police Service.

He was freed on police bail late on Tuesday, following a full day of questioning by the authorities, but was taken back into custody for further questioning on Wednesday morning, police said.

On Wednesday afternoon, police spokeswoman Janet Dougall said in a statement that the 57-year-old premier had been "placed on police bail until early February 2013, to allow further investigations to take place both here and abroad in connection with the allegations made against him."

The statement added that "a considerable amount of property, including computer equipment" had been seized during searches stemming from the investigation of Bush, which was "still very active."

Police and other officials have declined to spell out specific details of the probe targeting Bush, saying only that it included allegations of theft, misuse of a government credit card and abuse of office over the alleged importation of explosives without valid permits. The explosives were to be used by a local firm in a large construction project.

Bush himself has not spoken in public since his arrest but his chief of staff urged Caymanians to pray for him and to keep in mind that everyone is "innocent until proven guilty."

A veteran politician, Bush has been the target of ongoing corruption probes for more than a year now. Bush's arrest on Tuesday drew pointed calls for his resignation to avoid further embarrassment to the palm-fringed financial hub, which is the offshore home for most of the world's hedge funds.

"The eyes of the world are now focused on the Cayman Islands and watching what happens here," said an editorial in the online edition of the Caymanian Compass newspaper.
