Tonya Evinger Considers Title Bout With Cris Cyborg a ‘Super Fight’ – MMA News

Tonya Evinger realizes the importance of her title bout with Cris Cyborg.

This Saturday night (July 29), Evinger will battle Cyborg for the vacant Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) womens featherweight title. Itll be Evingers UFC debut and Cyborgs first title shot in the promotion.

The action takes place inside the Honda Center in Anaheim, California and will be part of UFC 214s main card. Megan Anderson was expected to meet Cyborg for the gold, but personal issues put a halt to those plans.

During a recent media call, Triple Threat talked about her opponent being the heavy favorite:

I think Im the underdog every time, so its just one of the roles I play. I seem to get the fans that dont think Im as good a fighter as I am. I think that were both just two dominating champions. I think this is a super fight and its a fight that couldve happened a long time ago. Its just definitely one to watch.

When asked about openings she has seen watching tape of Cyborgs fights, Evinger said she isnt concerned with that.

I dont go into any fight thinking my opponent has any weakness. I just go in there to put my style out there and be offensive myself.

Sex robot 2018 REVEALED: New human-like feature to take cyborgs to ‘NEXT LEVEL’ – Daily Star

A SEX robot firm is making a doll with a fully functional Terminator-like head which can speak, smile and even sing in a major breakthrough for the cyborg industry.

Doll makers have created a prototype of DS Doll Robotic Head coated in silicone skin which can be controlled by a smartphone or PlayStation controller.

The model, made by Doll Sweet Dolls and EX Doll, has a stunningly beautiful face, and can listen and answer questions using voice recognition software.

But the head will only be able to speak in Chinese, although there are plans to launch a campaign to raise enough money to produce an English version.

The futuristic doll, which hits the shelves at the end of 2018, does not have a rotatable neck, but will fit all the company's other doll bodies, which have flexible limbs allowing them to move as a real person.

SWNS

Can you tell the difference between these dolls and real girls?

1 / 18

Paul Lumb, head of Cloud Climax, says the prototype is the Bugatti Veyron of VR - and his company hopes to bring the doll to the UK by the end of the year.

He said: "EX Dolls have been working on a robotics head since 2014, but we're generations away from a Terminator-style cyborg.

"What they've been doing is developing app control for the robot head, but currently with the prototype it's only got Chinese dialect, which is their core market.

"Over the next 12 months, they want to develop Japanese and English speaking models.

SWNS

Sex robot engineer Sergei Santos is intent on bringing his creations to the masses. We take you inside the Chinese factory where these ultra-realistic sex toys are being manufactured

1 / 25

"They will have an element of natural conversation, so they won't sound too robotic, but they will take time - languages are massive.

"The voice recognition is no different to a smart phone, but this model also has facial expressions, unlike standard silicone heads.

"Over the last two years we've been moving towards real touch, real feel silicon dolls, enhancing the skeleton to make it lighter - these adult-sized dolls have a combined head and body weight of five stone.

"It's an opportunity to take this to the next level of where doll development is going, and it's been happening quietly behind the scenes for ten to 15 years.

SWNS

It is really the Bugatti Veyron of VR

This is revolutionary, it's a game-changer - from a gamer's perspective, it'd be like a new console being released.

"This is the next step of teledildonics reality, it's at the forefront of adult tech and is really the Bugatti Veyron of VR."

Paul said the prototype represents the very latest in natural realism, but it comes at a hefty price with the dolls set to go on sale at around 4,500.

He added: "Two studio level make up artists have taken this head to the next level, it looks very natural in the face.

SWNS

"The realism of a robotic head and body together will be the next level of enhancement - the guys who work for EX Dolls have masters in robotics and are continually evolving this technology.

"From a software point of view, you don't want it breaking, and they need to get the internal components correct.

"They're also working on facial posturing, narration and interaction.

"We're still six or seven years away from having the ability to incorporate sensor pads and electronic wiring - it'll probably be a decade before prototypes are even made.

"You just don't want a heavy doll filled with technology, it can't really be an actual sex robot - it'd be too expensive.

"The skeleton can be posed and moved, and the head can be interacted with, but there's not full body movement and it's just an enhancement to what we're currently selling.

"This is the ultimate, really - I'd be very surprised if we see a fully autonomous body soon, it's too future tech and that'll be 15 to 20 years down the line."

Germaine de Randamie relieved UFC stripped her title, doesn’t regret turning down Cyborg fight – MMAmania.com

Germain de Randamie was stripped of her Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) womens Featherweight title after she refused to face Cris Cyborg at the upcoming UFC 214 event which is slated to go down this weekend (Sat., July 29, 2017) in Anaheim, California -- due to the Brazilians past troubles with performance enhancing drugs (PEDs).

For Iron Lady, staying true to her principles was more important than keeping the title and despite all of the aftermath, she doesnt regret declining the bout. But, she does regret swinging at Holly Holm after the bell rang during their title fight at UFC 208 earlier this year.

I dont regret anything. I stand for my principles and I believe that forbidden substances are not allowed in sport, especially not fighting, she said during a recent interview on The MMA Hour. This is a full contact sport. People have ended up in wheelchairs. I was just reading the other day that a boxer did his first pro fight and is now drinking out of a straw. We put our lives on the line and we are here to entertain people, she said.

I dont regret anything, there are things I dont support and thats my opinion. Of course, I regret that moment in the fight where I threw the combination (after bell rang). I regret it because I play fair and its my deepest apology if I hurt anybody with that, even Holly. Thats not me. I would never risk not winning a world title, being disqualified for something this stupid. Thats not me. But I dont regret any decision I have ever made, she said.

Still, de Randamie is adamant UFC knew of her plans to drop down to bantamweight after her title fight at 145 pounds with Holm, even prior to signing the contract. Thats why she was a bit baffled the promotion decided to strip her when they knew beforehand that she had her eyes on a rematch against Amanda Nunes.

Plus, Cyborgs brief hiccup with USADA -- as well as her hand injury, and full time job as a police officer that requires her to work up to 60 hours a week didnt help the promotions cause in trying to convince Germaine to face Cyborg.

After finding out via social media that she had been stripped, de Randamie says she wasnt too upset. Thats because with the title off her hands, the backlash from fans on social media which included people writing her and advising her to commit suicide came to a halt.

To be honest, it didnt hurt at all. I felt kind of relieved because of all the negative stuff that happened. The negative viral that kept coming and coming and coming. It continued every day. I dont care about the belt, she said.

I do care about is staying me. Its okay that they took away the belt, the only thing I cared about was the things people said. I dont care that people l said Im scared of Cyborg, I fought a guy who was 40 pounds heavier, and in a boxing match. Im not a boxer. I fought the best standup girls in the world, the very, very best. I was the reigning world champion in three different divisions at the same time. I fought every girls, so people can say Im scared because I dont mind as long as I can look at myself in the mirror and know Im not scared. They can say Im a cheater, I am not, it hurts, but its their opinion.

Germaine will return to action against Marion Reneau at the upcoming UFC Fight Night 115 event on UFC Fight Pass, scheduled for Sept. 2, 2017 from inside Ahoy Rotterdam arena in Netherlands. This, despite the fact that Iron Lady requires surgery on her injured hand, which she postponed until after the bout.

As for the 145-pound strap, that will be up for grabs as Cris Cyborg faces Tanya Evinger at UFC 214 in Anaheim, California. For more on that fight click here.

Can Cris Cyborg Cement her Status as Baddest Woman on the … – MMA Micks

Countless challengers have stepped up, countless challengers have fallen.

Iron Mike Tysons name is thrown outnonchalantly these days across boxing and MMA.

It seems if you are a phenom with a penchant for brutal knock outs then suddenly you are the new Tyson.

But one thing that can be agreed on is Cris Cyborgs claim as Womens MMA answer to the man himself.

Aggressive and skilful with 15 KOs to her record, she has destroyed nearly everyone in her path. Yet, this will only be her 3rd outing in the Octagon.

There seems to be a strange relationship (or lack thereof) between her and the UFC.

UFC seems completely inept at trying to market her in the wake of Ronda Rouseys likely retirement.

Dana White has even previously blocked her via Instagram (which has since been rectified), yet here we are less than a week before UFC 214 and how much has her fight been hyped?

Obviously, in any other fight card bar, the Jones v DC grudge her chances may have faired a little better.

Overall, however, her UFC career as it stands is a mix of bad marketing, bad communication between both sides and absolute PR disasters.

The 145b division was created and made for Cyborg much the same way 135lb was made for Ronda.

The USADA violation that never was back in December 2016 blew up in both their faces.

Holly Holm versus Germaine De Randamie was never the plan. GDR not fighting Cris Cyborg is up there with Riddick Bowe not fighting Lennox Lewis, completely farcical!

Another disaster hit when last month when it was announced Cyborg would defend the vacant title against Megan Anderson. Anderson, unfortunately, pulled out citing personal reasons.

This is a real shame, as the bout was highly intriguing. In Andersons place steps up Tonya Evinger, the current Invicta Bantamweight Champion.

Whilst Evinger certainly isnt going there to merely make up the numbers, the likelihood of her stopping the tour de force of Cyborg is unlikely.

Following on from this bout what is apparent is the need for both Cyborg and the UFC to sit down together.

Put simply, in a world without household names Cris Cyborg can be a Brock Lesnar-style marketing phenom.

A rescheduled bout with Anderson at MSG would be awesome, should she dispatch of Evinger.

Great to finally have you back Cyborg, featherweights beware!

From the WWE Rumor Mill: Reason why Cris Cyborg may be working a WWE angle – Sportskeeda

According to the Cageside Seats, there's a reason why UFC might just allow Cris Cyborg to have a program in WWE in the future, presumably this coming Summerslam.

Becky Lynch and Cris Cyborg have been going at it on Twitter for a while now. Cyborg has been demanding a match against Becky Lynch at Summerslam followed by a match against Ronda Rousey at WrestleMania next year.

The UFC fighter is set to take on Tonya Evinger for the vacant UFC Featherweight Championship at UFC 214 next week. One would imagine that Cyborg's potential Summerslam appearance would be determined by whether she wins or loses at UFC 214.

However, Cyborg is undoubtedly the favourite heading into her Featherweight title bout next week.

Cageside Seats have reported that the reason why UFC would have no issues with Cyborg participating in a WWE program is that they still owe WWE a big one for letting Brock Lesnar fight at UFC 200.

Lesnar did great business for UFC at UFC 200, earning upwards $3.5 million for his fight against Mark Hunt. After being flagged for a USADA violation, he was fined $250,000, which is still a small chunk compared to what he earned.

However, the problem with Cyborg is that she isn't a big mainstream name like Ronda Rousey, and thus won't be as big an attraction as WWE would hope to get fans in. However, WWE loves bringing outside names for big events, so it should get some traction.

Cyborg has a fight next week, and she finally has the chance to become UFC Featherweight Champion.

Becky Lynch, on the other hand, has a Fatal-5-Way match this Sunday at Battleground to determine the #1 contender to Naomi's SmackDown Women's Championship at Summerslam.

Cris Cyborg is an interesting choice for Summerslam, but we know well that Becky Lynch would just end up jobbing to her easily. WWE loves to put over celebrities at the expense of their own talent. However, there's no doubt that the WWE Universe would be firmly behind The Irish Lasskicker Becky Lynch.

But now the time has come for Cyborg to finally step into the octagon. For a title belt that was created with her in mind. Can the American Tonya Evinger, shock the World and stop the Brazilian freight train in its tracks? Or will it be another day at the office for Justino?

Normally fighting at 135lbs, Tonya is not a fighter who you would immediately think of as being The One. Cris Cyborg refuses ‘face of women’s MMA’ role with Ronda Rousey … – MMA Fighting

Ronda Rousey was the reason why the UFC opened its doors for women. And now that its unclear if she will ever return to the Octagon, that changes the way will company handle its womens divisions.

After Rowdy" suffered her first loss in the sport, an epic knockout against Holly Holm in 2015, the UFC promised her an immediate rematch for the gold. Holm decided not to wait for Rousey, and the belt changed hands until the judo star decided to return.

In Dec. 2016, the promotion around UFC 207 was focused on Rouseys return against bantamweight champion Amanda Nunes, but Rowdy" only lasted 48 seconds.

The next UFC championship bout involving women takes place July 29 in Anaheim, with Cris Cyborg taking on Tonya Evinger for the vacant featherweight belt at UFC 214. Asked if she will become the face of womens MMA now that Rousey is gone, the Brazilian turned down that role.

"I believe womens MMA cant have just one face, there are several athletes in the promotion, Cyborg said during a chat with the media on Tuesday. "What happened was, they made Ronda the face of (womens) MMA and she lost twice and doesnt want to come back. Its not about one face only. When you make it about one face and she leaves, you miss it."

A former Invicta FC and Strikeforce featherweight queen, Cyborg demolished Leslie Smith and Lina Lansberg in her 140-pound catchweight bouts in the Octagon, and vows to represent every woman as champion in the UFC.

"We have several athletes, it cant be just one person being the face of (womens) MMA, Cyborg said. "I will represent every woman with my belt there, just like every woman in the UFC represent every MMA fighter. Its bad when you make one person the face of (womens) MMA."

"World’s Most Useless Cyborg" Doesn’t Regret Her Faded Finger Magnet – Lifehacker

Five years ago, Verge reporter Adi Robertson implanted a magnet in her finger. Now the magnet has faded, and so has the fervor around this kind of elective biohacking. While technology for the disabled continues to make impressive progress, with cochlear implants and sophisticated prosthetics, its still nowhere near sophisticated enough to, say, voluntarily replace your real arm with a fake one.

Cyborgs are rich metaphors, but theyre not very practical, says Robertson. Wearable technology is usually the better option; its a lot easier to upgrade, and a lot easier to remove. But even though her finger magnet is now just a stray piece of metal, and the embedded NFC chip with her Twitter info is only good for party tricks, shes glad for these little upgrades. The metaphorical value is the point. The magnet was a little piece of the future.

Cris ‘Cyborg’ Justino gets shot at UFC glory after overcoming personal battles – Los Angeles Times

Cris Cyborg Justino had a warm smile as she carried a small tote of fight gear into a Costa Mesa gym last week. She was wearing a black T-shirt of her image surrounded by the words Fighter, Female, Fearless.

It was an accurate description.

On July 29 at the Honda Center, the 32-year-old Brazilian from Orange County gets her long-awaited opportunity to have the UFC womens featherweight belt fastened around her waist by the groups president, Dana White.

I trained for six years straight thinking, One day, theyre going to need me, Justino said. I had a hard time, cried a lot, but I always believed there was a plan for me.

White once said that hed never stage a womens fight in the UFC, but then came along Ronda Rousey, who would fight in the only womens division (135 pounds) in 2013.

Although Justino had reigned alongside Rousey as a 145-pound champion of the MMA organization Strikeforce, such consideration was not extended to her.

Maybe it was because Im Brazilian, not American, Justino said. But I was the world champion before Ronda, and I thought if they wanted to open the world to womens MMA, they should open the door to me, too and all of us and let the sport grow, Justino said.

Justino did have some baggage after testing positive in 2011 for the steroid stanozolol, but she served her suspension and her tests have remained clean.

If Ronda was still the champ, I dont think Id be in the UFC, Cris "Cyborg" Justino said. I know its not fair, but if shed never lost a fight, they wouldnt have needed me.

During Rouseys armbar dominance, Justino shined on the lesser MMA stage by delivering punches, kicks and knees in rapid succession, posting an equally impressive 4-0 mark with three first-round technical knockouts.

White explained before Rouseys loss to Holly Holm in November 2015 that there was no division for Cyborg, and pointed to Justinos comment that a doctor said she could die if she tried to get down to 135 pounds, Rouseys division.

A few months after Rouseys loss, however, White and then-UFC chairman Lorenzo Fertitta watched Justinos knockout win in an Invicta featherweight title defense in Orange County and signed her less than two months later.

If Ronda was still the champ, I dont think Id be in the UFC, Justino said. I know its not fair, but if shed never lost a fight, they wouldnt have needed me.

The UFCs creation of a 145-pound division in December followed two Cyborg TKO victories last year in non-title catch-weight bouts.

The first February featherweight title fight was made between Holm and Germaine de Randamie of the Netherlands because the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency flagged Justino for a positive result for a banned substance.

Justino avoided suspension by proving that she required the substance to treat an issue with her ovaries. New champion de Randamie balked at fighting Justino, calling her a cheater.

The UFC stripped de Randamie of the belt for the delay, and Justino (17-1) will meet Invicta 135-pound champion Tonya Evinger for the vacant belt.

While some fighters have landed spots on Dancing With the Stars or appeared in the body issue of ESPN the Magazine, Justino has been viewed more harshly.

Jason Parillo, Justinos coach, says the merciless fight game masks Justinos softness.

She brings an energy to an arena like Mike Tyson and people perceive her only as this tough person. But shes one of the sweetest people out there and has a great heart, Parillo said.

Its a difficult balance, says Justino.

At the gym, its just men, so I wear a big shirt and big shorts because I dont feel comfortable wearing little shorts and going to do jiu-jitsu with the guys, she said. Sometimes, I hear people say, Cris fights like a man . That makes me happy because I do try my best to show women can fight, punch and tackle like men do. Its not about pulling hair. Im showing I have technique.

But, of course, Im a woman. I take care of all the things a [stereotype of a] woman does I clean my house, I cook. My life is not just come to the gym and train.

At the ceremonial opening of the UFCs new $12 million performance center in May, Justino turned heads by appearing in a red, flowing dress.

I like going to the salon, I like doing my nails, I like doing all the things that most women do, she said. So many times, Im not shown anywhere but around the cage and training, so people dont know who Cyborg is, and all that I like to do.

Shes experienced the heartbreak of divorce after eight years of marriage to a former MMA fighter whose nickname she shared out of affection, and says shes happy in a relationship with another man now.

Fans meet me and say, Oh, youre really nice, and Im like, Of course, you thought Id be mean?, Justino said. I have feelings. I have family. I have friends. My niece is like my daughter. And Id like a child. Im 32 now, so maybe soon.

First comes next Saturdays fight, and the likely anointing of the newest champion by White, whom Justino says she has forgiven.

When you forgive there can be a consequence, like him putting that belt around me, she said.

When this [fight] finally was made, I was very happy. I always read the Bible and I remember reading, Youre going to be frustrated in this world but I will give you strength.

You have to use these trials to overcome. People like seeing that because theyve had similar experiences good times, bad times. So, now, Ill fight for the belt to show you never have to quit. Your heart is hardened for battle.

Cris 'Cyborg' Justino gets shot at UFC glory after overcoming personal battles - Los Angeles Times

Cris Cyborg believes UFC is also to blame for lack of featherweight contenders – MMA Fighting

Cris Cyborg is facing the plan C at UFC 214, but she believes things could have been easier if the promotion had taken a different path in the past.

With Germaine de Randamie refusing to compete, and Megan Anderson dealing with personal issues, Cyborg will now face Invicta FC bantamweight titleholder Tonya Evinger for the vacant UFC featherweight gold on July 29 in Anaheim.

The original plan would have had de Randamie defending the belt she won earlier this year against the Brazilian, but the Dutch fighter preferred to be stripped of the belt than facing Cyborg. Anderson, who won the Invicta FC 145-pound belt that once belonged to the Brazilian, jumped promotions to compete in the Octagon, but ended up being removed days later.

UFC president Dana White has cited many times in the past that lack of female athletes in the featherweight division was one of the reasons why he wouldnt open the weight class in the UFC, and Cyborg would always argued back that, yes, there are enough fighters to build a division.

After having a hard time finding an opponent to face at UFC 214, with the promotion once again bringing a natural bantamweight to face her in the Octagon, is Cyborg still convinced there are enough women at 145 pounds?

"Since it took a long time for the UFC to open the (featherweight) division, most of the athletes signed with Bellator. Thats why the girls with bigger names in the division are at Bellator, Cyborg said during a chat with the media on Tuesday. "But some still are in Invicta. I was going to fight Megan Anderson, but due to lack of (visa) she wont be able to fight and also due to her irresponsibility, she pulled out of the fight a month before."

With Julia Budd (10-2) as the current featherweight champion, Bellator currently has 11 other featherweights in its roster, including Marloes Coenen (23-8), Alexis Dufresne (6-3), Sinead Kavanagh (4-1) and Talita Nogueira (6-0).

Cyborg fought twice under the UFC banner so far, finishing Leslie Smith and Lina Lansberg via TKO in 140-pound catchweight bouts. Undefeated over her last eight fights with five stoppage victories and several title defenses in Invicta FC, Evinger is brave, her opponent says.

"Tonya accepted the fight on a months notice, saving the event and giving me an opportunity to fight, Cyborg said. "Shes coming from the (bantamweight) division, but I think shes a top 10 at 135, she just never had the chance to fight in the UFC. And shes brave. I respect her for fighting me on short notice, and that also gives her a chance to show her work inside the UFC and, who knows, open more doors for her to fight at 135, her original division.

"I believe Tonya is a great opponent, she has a lot of fights and experience, she continued. "I believe she will give me more trouble than Megan Anderson because she has more experience. Well see. I dont like to talk before the fights, inside the Octagon is different. Everybody has a game plan, but the plan changes after the first punch."

And what about de Randamie, Cyborgs original opponent? Ultimately, the Brazilian believes she never had the intention to defend the featherweight belt she won against Holly Holm.

"(The champion) cant turn down a fight if he thinks youre tough, if youre a tough fight. It doesnt matter. If you have the belt, you have to fight anyone, Cyborg said. "Like Dana White said, she knew, even before she entered the Octagon (against Holm) that, if she won, she would have to fight me, so I believe she acted in bad faith, she already went there with this intention of going back to her division if she won the belt and try to become the first (female) athlete to hold two belts.

"I believe that some athletes have fear, but you have to work on that. Athletes cant have fear. Fear of what? Fear of losing? Everybody loses one day. You win and lose. Both fighters cant win in this sport, so you have to leave it in Gods hands. Losing is not the end of the world. Losing is natural, the better prepared athlete will win.

"If youre a fighter, you might lose a battle but you cant lose the war. Thats what fans love, overcoming, bouncing back and winning again. Thats what makes an athlete grow and fans to follow you. You go through hard times without fear of losing because that might happen."

The UFC stripped de Randamie of the belt days after she voiced her idea of not facing Cyborg, so, in the end, Cyborg will battle Evinger for a vacant title in Anaheim. The Brazilian, a former featherweight queen in Strikeforce and Invicta FC, has a different approach to the title fight.

"I see this fight in the UFC as a title defense for me, Cyborg said. "I havent lost my belt. I vacated it. To me, its like a title defense. Some people might see the UFC as something with more value than the one that I held before, but, to me, its another title defense. I train and work hard as if I were always the No. 1 contender for every fight though."

Cris Cyborg believes UFC is also to blame for lack of featherweight contenders - MMA Fighting

For ‘Cyborg’ Justino, UFC 214 scrap for vacant belt is actually a title … – MMAjunkie.com

Cristiane Justino will finally get to close one long, tumultuous chapter of her life at next Saturdays UFC 214, when she meets Tonya Evinger for the UFC womens 145-pound belt.

After putting so much effort into campaigning for the UFC to create the division, Cyborg Justino is happy that its here. And she understands it may be a big deal for her fans. But for the former Invicta FC champ, who hasnt lost an MMA bout since her 2005 pro debut, shes already coming into it a champion.

Actually, the way I see it, this fight to me is a title defense, Justino saidduring an online chat with Brazilian reporters. I didnt lose my belt. I left it vacant. The way I see it, it will be a title defense. In the eyes of some people, its more valuable than the belt I already carried. But, for me, its yet another defense.

Ive always trained and dedicated myself as if I was the No. 1 contender, even already being the champion.

Featuring three championship fights, UFC 214 takes place July 29 at Honda Center in Anaheim, Calif. The evenings main card airs on pay-per-view following prelims on FXX and UFC Fight Pass.

Cyborg says the scrap would have been made more special had it been the UFCs first womens 145-pound title fight. Instead, with Justinosinability tomake a quick enough turnaroundafter the tough cuts for her two 140-pound catchweight bouts, it wasformer bantamweight champ Holly Holm and Germaine de Randamiewho did the honors with a UFC 208 headliner.

De Randamieemerged victorious in that encounter, but what ensued was one of the most bizarrereigns in UFC history. After months of speculation around a hand injury, the champ said she refused to defend the belt against obvious contender Cyborg citing Justinos past doping as a reason. She was stripped of the title.

Cyborg, who in the interim was flagged and acquitted of wrongdoing by USADA, was then scheduled to face fellow former Invicta FC featherweight champ Megan Anderson for the vacant title at UFC 214. But, with Andersons withdrawal citingpressing personal reasons, that didnt pan out either.

Justino (17-1 MMA, 2-0 UFC) now welcomes Invicta FCs 135-pound champ Tonya Evinger (19-5 MMA, 0-0 UFC)into the octagon. But, clearly, it wasnt smooth sailing. As such a longtime advocate for the creation of a womens 145-pound division in the UFC, why does she think putting the fights together has been such a challenge?

Cyborg explains and even throws in a jab at Anderson, for good measure.

I think that, since the UFC took so long to create the 145-pound division, most athletes signed with Bellator, Justino said. And thats why the girls in my division with a bigger name are in Bellator. Some are still at Invicta, too and I was supposed to fight one of them in Megan Anderson. But, due to lack of documents, shes not able to fight. And her irresponsibility, too.

Tonya accepted it a month before the fight, saving the event and my chance to fight. Shes from a lower division, but shes a top-10 at 135 pounds. She just never had a chance to fight in the UFC. And shes brave.I respect her for accepting the fight on short-notice. Like it or not, its a great opportunity for her to showcase her work in the UFC and, who knows, open doors for her to fight at 135.

As for the bizarre turn that De Randamies title reign took? Justino believes that at no point did she ever intend to meet Cyborg in the octagon. And that, she says, is part of a larger recent pattern of champions managing to bypass fights with rightful contenders.

Maybe she wanted to go back to her division, get the 135-pound belt, be the first one to get the two belts, Justino said. She acted in bad faith. She knew shed have to fight me to defend the belt.

You see it happening a lot in MMA over the past two or three years, a lot of people who are right there to fight for the belt are being held back. I dont think thats fair. I think if youre the champ, you need to face whomevers prepared to fight for the belt.

The latest on a potential Cris Cyborg vs. Becky Lynch match – Wrestling News

WWE News

Published on July 20, 2017

The Becky Lynch/Cris Cyborg back-and-forth on Twitter seems to be leading to something that has the blessing of WWE. Cyborg has been pushing for a match with Lynch at SummerSlam. I dont know if the match will happen but sources close to Cyborgs camp have indicated that they have come to an agreement with WWE. I reached out to WWE over the weekend and there was no response from their side.

Cyborg and WWE have talked in the past and she is currently under contract to UFC so that is a hurdle that she would jump through. However, as noted in the Wrestling Observer newsletter, UFC does owe WWE because Brock Lesnar was allowed to fight last year while under WWE contract.

Cyborg has had a rocky relationship with UFC but she recently made up with UFC head honcho Dana White. She will fight Tonya Evinger for the vacant womens featherweight championship on 7/29 at UFC 214. I dont know if this will happen but if there really is a deal in place for a match with Lynch, then her UFC 214 post-fight interview (if she wins) could be the right place to officially start the angle with Lynch by formally announcing her plans to try her hand at pro wrestling and laying down the SummerSlam challenge.

Cyborg on UFC 214 Evinger fight: ‘The way I see it, it will be a title defense’ – Bloody Elbow

With UFC 214 on the horizon, much of the attention is focused on the hotly-anticipated main event rematch between Daniel Cormier and Jon Jones. But while the light heavyweight title is what most will presumably be attending and tuning in for, another great fight on the card is getting less fanfare.

After some quick shuffling following Germaine de Randamie being stripped of the featherweight title, Cristiane Justino was scheduled to fight the woman that indirectly inherited her title - Invicta featherweight champion Megan Anderson. Anderson was then unable to compete, leading to Invicta bantamweight champion Tonya Evinger to step up in her place.

Throughout this entire period, Cyborg has been open to competing against any and all of the fighters shes had put in front of her. And in a recent chat with Brazilian journalists, she addressed her mindset coming into this fight for the vacant belt (courtesy of Fernanda Prates of MMAJunkie):

Actually, the way I see it, this fight to me is a title defense, Justino said during an online chat with Brazilian reporters. I didnt lose my belt. I left it vacant. The way I see it, it will be a title defense. In the eyes of some people, its more valuable than the belt I already carried. But, for me, its yet another defense.

It is worth noting that Justino had five bouts in Invicta, winning the inaugural title after defeating Dutch pioneer Marloes Coenen at Invicta FC 6 in July of 2013. However, she was stripped of her Strikeforce title after testing positive for performance enhancing drugs after defeating Hiroko Yamanaka at Strikeforce: Melendez vs Masvidal.

Cyborg also shared some thoughts about the woman that most expected her to initially fight, UFC inaugural and former featherweight champion Germaine de Randamie:

Maybe she wanted to go back to her division, get the 135-pound belt, be the first one to get the two belts, Justino said. She acted in bad faith. She knew shed have to fight me to defend the belt.

You see it happening a lot in MMA over the past two or three years, a lot of people who are right there to fight for the belt are being held back. I dont think thats fair. I think if youre the champ, you need to face whomevers prepared to fight for the belt.

Justino may not be fighting De Randamie any time soon, but will still have her hands full with Evinger at UFC 214. An eventual match with Megan Anderson could also be in her near future, as its something that both have been clamoring for for some time.

UFC 214 takes place July 29th at the Honda Center in Anaheim, CA. The card will be headlined by another title fight in Jon Jones vs Daniel Cormier and welterweight champion Tyron Woodley taking on Demian Maia.

Outrage as sex robot company sells ‘frigid’ cyborg that ‘can be RAPED’ – Daily Star

A SEX robot firm have sparked disgust by producing erotic cyborgs that are "barely 18 and waiting for you to teach her" have created one that users can RAPE.

True Companion have created $9,995 hyper-realistic "Roxxxy" dolls which come with a range of personalities from "Wild Wendy" to "S & M Susan".

The firm claims it can "listen, talk, carry on a conversation and feel your touch", "has moods during the day just like real people" and "can even have an orgasm".

But one of the personas, called "Frigid Farrah", can be raped and is described on the company's website as "reserved and shy".

The website states that if you touch Farrah in a private area, more than likely, she will not be to appreciative of your advance.

Can you tell the difference between these dolls and real girls?

Noel Sharkey, a professor of artificial intelligence and robotics at the University of Sheffield, told New York Times there are ethical arguments within the field about sex robots with frigid settings.

The idea is robots would resist your sexual advances so that you could rape them, Professor Sharkey said.

Some people say its better they rape robots than rape real people. There are other people saying this would just encourage rapists more.

Despite the advances of Artificial Intelligence, the model lacks the ability to reproduce consent.

Because of this the company says their robots "allow everyone to realise their most private sexual dreams".

According to US media, Frigid Farrah is not alone in allowing her user to have sex with a replica of a human partner without the complication of consent.

It states that according to the Lumi Dolls website, dolls allow the user to set the limits and she will let herself be taken along for the ride shes the perfect submissive partner.

The new "Frigid Farrah" doll has sparked fury with people on social media, with many taking to Twitter to voice their shock.

One user wrote: "Frigid Farrah - reserved & shy' Yeah, let's rape the frigid c*** - that's sick as f***..."

Another said: "I would venture to say that Farrah is not quite a #sexrobot rather this is an intentionally designed rape mode."

Other Tweets include "so they built a rapist training robot..." and "should be illegal...its like "school for rapists" The other personalities offered by True Companion are the heavily criticised "Young Yoko" who is described by the website as: oh so young (barely 18) and waiting for you to teach her.

Daily Star Online have contacted True Companion for comment.

Ray Fisher Shares Closer Look at Cyborg Justice League Action Figure – Screen Rant

Ray Fisher offers a closer look at Victor Stone/Cyborgs new action figure fromJustice League. After a brief appearance in Batman v Superman, the actor is joining the hero set of the DC Extended Universe properly this year in the ensemble epic alongside Gal Gadot (Wonder Woman), Ben Affleck (Batman), Superman (Henry Cavill), Jason Momoa (Aquaman) and Ezra Miller (The Flash).

Cyborg is brought to life by his own father, Dr. Silas Stone (Joe Morton), who accidentally merged one of the mysterious (and dangerous) Mother Boxes with his son in an effort to save him. In the pages of the comic books, the character is mostly associated with the Teen Titans, but theDCEUs version establishes him as one of the founding members of the League.

Fisher has recently posted a closer look on his characters Justice League action figure on his official Twitteraccount hyping up fans anticipation for his characters big on-screen splash and look. BORGLIFE is back in the buildingand this time I brought backup! #BORGLIFE #ForThePeople, he has written in the caption.

DC fans have been quite divided on the aesthetics of Cyborg since his first appearance in Dawn of Justice and the subsequent trailers for Justice League. Some did not necessarilylike how Fisher was integrated with Cyborgs mechanical part drawing comparisons to the look of Michael BaysTransformers. Although to be fair, its best to reserve final judgment until we actually see how the character looks like moving and fighting on the film.

Following Fishers debut as Cyborg in Justice League, he is slated to go off on his first solo adventure. The original timeline set by Warner Bros. positions the film for an April 2020 rollout, but development for it has been rather quiet and slow begging the question if the official schedule still sticks. Further, a recent rumor points to the film studio possibly reshuffling their releases with brand new launch dates for 2020 without the supposed April launch for the Cyborg standalone.

Nevertheless, we can expect more official news in the near future once Warner Bros. finally releases details regarding the aforementioned film. Before that, though, you can catch Fisher and the rest of the Justice League cast later this week in Comi-Con International: San Diego where Warner Bros. and DCEU will host a panel of Saturday at Hall H.

From the WWE Rumor Mill: Cris "Cyborg" continues to take shots at … – Sportskeeda

UFC Featherweight Title contender Cristiane "Cyborg" Justinocontinued to tease a match at Summerslam against Becky Lynch.

According to Cageside Seats, this may not be unintentional, and we might just see the UFC fighter make an appearance next month at the biggest party of the summer.

Cris Cyborg and Becky Lynch started a bit of an exchange on Twitter, with Cyborg demanding a match against the former SmackDown Women's Champion:

Becky Lynch, however, did not back down!

Cageside Seats reported that WWE has in fact worked out something with Cris Cyborg for a Summerslam appearance, which is why she has been feuding with Becky Lynch on Twitter.

Speaking of Twitter, it's not the only form of social media that she's been taking shots on. She added more fuel to the fire when she took another shot at the Irish Lass Kicker Becky Lynch on Facebook:

As you can see, Cyborg also demanded a match against Ronda Rousey, this time in the Squared Circle. The UFC Featherweight Contender seems hell bent on getting the Rousey match, and if she isn't going to get it in the Octagon, she certainly wants to lock it up in the Squared Circle.

We'll have to wait for a while to see if Cris Cyborg does, in fact, make a Summerslam appearance. As of now, she has a UFC Featherweight title match at UFC 214 against Tonya Evinger on July 29th.

Her Summerslam appearance may be determined on whether she wins her match at UFC 214 or not. However, like always, she is the favourite going in.

Cris Cyborg being at Summerslam would be good publicity for WWE. However, she still isn't a full-fledged mainstream star as yet, so it may not draw as much as they would hope.

WWE will likely hope to rope in MMA fans to watch Summerslam by having her face one of their top stars. But facing Becky Lynch would mean that she would be the heel.

Cris Cyborg believes Holly Holm could be next after UFC 214 – MMA Fighting

Holly Holm is open to fighting for UFC gold in both the bantamweight and featherweight divisions if the opportunity is right and Cris Cyborg is once again interested in facing her inside the Octagon.

A former champion at Strikeforce and Invicta FC, Cyborg is slated to meet Tonya Evinger for the vacant 145-pound championship on July 29 at UFC 214 in Anaheim, Calif. The Brazilian told Ariel Helwani on a recent edition of The MMA Hour that Holm would be a great option for her next fight, if she wins in Anaheim.

"I think the next fight could be with her, said Cyborg, pointing out that she already accepted to face Holm three different times at UFC 184, UFC 198, and UFC Fight Night 95, but the fight never happened.

"I think (its a) great fight for all the fans, Cyborg said. She already fought at 145 (pounds) with (Germaine) de Randamie and people say that she win, she lost. Let's make the fight with me for the belt. She just defeated Bethe Correia, I think shes the big name for the next fight. She's a great fighter.

Cyborg (17-1, 1 NC) scored a pair of dominant TKO victories in the UFC in 2016, finishing Leslie Smith and Lina Lansberg in 140-pound catchweight bouts after a 5-0 run as a featherweight in the Invicta FC cage.

Holm (11-3) recently put an end to a three-fight losing skid two of those losses having come in UFC title bouts with a devastating knockout win over Correia in Singapore.
