PDS Biotechnology (NASDAQ:PDSB) Will Have To Spend Its Cash Wisely – Yahoo Finance

Even when a business is losing money, it's possible for shareholders to make money if they buy a good business at the right price. For example, biotech and mining exploration companies often lose money for years before finding success with a new treatment or mineral discovery. Nonetheless, only a fool would ignore the risk that a loss making company burns through its cash too quickly.

So should PDS Biotechnology (NASDAQ:PDSB) shareholders be worried about its cash burn? For the purpose of this article, we'll define cash burn as the amount of cash the company is spending each year to fund its growth (also called its negative free cash flow). The first step is to compare its cash burn with its cash reserves, to give us its 'cash runway'.

View our latest analysis for PDS Biotechnology

A company's cash runway is the amount of time it would take to burn through its cash reserves at its current cash burn rate. As at September 2019, PDS Biotechnology had cash of US$17m and such minimal debt that we can ignore it for the purposes of this analysis. Looking at the last year, the company burnt through US$12m. So it had a cash runway of approximately 17 months from September 2019. That's not too bad, but it's fair to say the end of the cash runway is in sight, unless cash burn reduces drastically. The image below shows how its cash balance has been changing over the last few years.

NasdaqCM:PDSB Historical Debt, November 12th 2019

Because PDS Biotechnology isn't currently generating revenue, we consider it an early-stage business. So while we can't look to sales to understand growth, we can look at how the cash burn is changing to understand how expenditure is trending over time. Remarkably, it actually increased its cash burn by 673% in the last year. With that kind of spending growth its cash runway will shorten quickly, as it simultaneously uses its cash while increasing the burn rate. Clearly, however, the crucial factor is whether the company will grow its business going forward. So you might want to take a peek at how much the company is expected to grow in the next few years.

While PDS Biotechnology does have a solid cash runway, its cash burn trajectory may have some shareholders thinking ahead to when the company may need to raise more cash. Generally speaking, a listed business can raise new cash through issuing shares or taking on debt. Commonly, a business will sell new shares in itself to raise cash to drive growth. We can compare a company's cash burn to its market capitalisation to get a sense for how many new shares a company would have to issue to fund one year's operations.

PDS Biotechnology has a market capitalisation of US$15m and burnt through US$12m last year, which is 85% of the company's market value. That suggests the company may have some funding difficulties, and we'd be very wary of the stock.

Even though its cash burn relative to its market cap makes us a little nervous, we are compelled to mention that we thought PDS Biotechnology's cash runway was relatively promising. Considering all the measures mentioned in this report, we reckon that its cash burn is fairly risky, and if we held shares we'd be watching like a hawk for any deterioration. For us, it's always important to consider risks around cash burn rates. But investors should look at a whole range of factors when researching a new stock. For example, it could be interesting to see how much the PDS Biotechnology CEO receives in total remuneration.

Study finds way to make medical equipment infection-free – ETHealthworld.com

Washington D.C: Researchers used nanoparticles to identify the presence of deadly microbes present on medical devices, like catheters, and make them infection-free.

This study was conducted as an interdisciplinary collaboration between microbiologists, immunologists, and engineers led by Dr Simon Corrie from Monash University's Department of Chemical Engineering and Professor Ana Traven from the Monash Biomedicine Discovery Institute (BDI).

It was recently published in the American Chemical Society journal ACS Applied Interfaces and Material.

Candida albicans, a commonly found microbe, can turn deadly when it colonises on devices such as catheters implanted in the human body.

The microbe forms a biofilm when it colonises using, for example, a catheter as a source of infection. It then spreads into the bloodstream to infect internal organs.

"The mortality rate in some patient populations can be as high as 30 to 40 per cent even if you treat people. When it colonises, it's highly resistant to anti-fungal treatments," Professor Traven said.

"The idea is that if you can diagnose this infection early, then you can have a much bigger chance of treating it successfully with current anti-fungal drugs and stopping a full-blown systemic infection, but our current diagnostic methods are lacking. A biosensor to detect early stages of colonisation would be highly beneficial," added Professor Traven.

The researchers investigated the effects of organosilica nanoparticles of different sizes, concentrations and surface coatings to see whether and how they interacted with both C. Albicans and with immune cells in the blood.

They found that the nanoparticles bound to fungal cells, but were non-toxic to them.

"They don't kill the microbe, but we can make an anti-fungal particle by binding them to a known anti-fungal drug," Professor Traven said.

The researchers also demonstrated that the particles associated with neutrophils -- human white blood cells -- in a similar way as they did with C. Albicans, remaining noncytotoxic towards them.

"We've identified that these nanoparticles, and by inference a number of different types of nanoparticles, can be made to be interactive with cells of interest," Dr Corrie said.

"We can actually change the surface properties by attaching different things; thereby we can really change the interactions they have with these cells -- that's quite significant," added Dr Corrie.

Dr Corrie said while nanoparticles were being investigated in the treatment of cancer, the use of nanoparticle-based technologies in infectious diseases lags behind the cancer nanomedicine field, despite the great potential for new treatments and diagnostics.

Testosterone Replacement Therapy: Controversy and Trends – Medscape

Abstract and Introduction Abstract

In recent years, testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) has received significant media attention, and the rate of testosterone use has increased notably. A reported association between testosterone use and increased occurrence of myocardial infarction and stroke prompted the FDA to issue a safety bulletin in 2014. Clinical hypogonadism is the only FDA-approved indication for TRT in men; it is not approved to treat age-related low testosterone. Although it is not indicated, TRT is often recommended to improve sexual function, bone density, body composition, muscle strength, mood, behavior, and cognition. The literature on the effectiveness of TRT for various conditions is largely mixed; therefore, current data on appropriate and potentially inappropriate use are important for pharmacists to keep abreast of and discuss with patients.

Recently, the use of testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) has received a lot of media attention. Although its use is growing, there is much debate regarding TRT's risks and benefits.[1] From 2008 to 2012 in the United States, spending on TRT increased from $1 billion to $2 billion, and from 2003 to 2013 there was a fourfold increase in the rate of TRT in men aged 18 to 45 years.[2] In 2013 and early 2014, two studies reported an association between TRT and increased occurrence of myocardial infarction and stroke, prompting the FDA to issue a safety bulletin on January 31, 2014.[3] This article will discuss appropriate TRT use, available formulations and cost, side effects, trends, and the pharmacist's role in patient education, including counseling points.

LPCN Awaits FDA Word, NKTR On Track, All’s Well With Five Prime’s FPT155 – Nasdaq

(RTTNews) - Today's Daily Dose brings you news about Alnylam's new positive efficacy results from its ongoing phase II open-label extension (OLE) study of Lumasiran for the treatment of primary hyperoxaluria type; Five Prime's initial safety data from its phase I clinical trial of FPT155 in patients with advanced solid tumors; Lipocine's much-awaited catalyst; Mirati's initial efficacy data from a phase II trial of Sitravatinib in metastatic urothelial cancer patients and Nektar's 18-month follow-up data from its PIVOT-02 study.

Read on

Alnylam Pharmaceuticals Inc. (ALNY) announced new positive efficacy results from its ongoing phase II open-label extension (OLE) study of Lumasiran for the treatment of primary hyperoxaluria type 1.

Primary hyperoxaluria type 1 (PH1) is a rare disorder that mainly affects the kidneys. It results from the buildup of a substance called oxalate, which normally is filtered through the kidneys and excreted in the urine (Source: NIH).

The open-label extension phase II study of Lumasiran demonstrated a 76 percent mean maximal reduction in urinary oxalate excretion, with all patients achieving a urinary oxalate level at or below 1.5 times the upper limit of normal, and 68 percent of patients achieving a urinary oxalate level within the normal range (less than or equal to 0.46 mmol/24hr/1.73m2).

The Company has also initiated a new global phase III study of Lumasiran for the Treatment of advanced Primary Hyperoxaluria Type 1, dubbed ILLUMINATE-C. The primary study endpoint is set as the percent reduction in plasma oxalate from baseline to six months.

Alnylam expects to report initial results from the ILLUMINATE-C trial in late 2020.

ALNY closed Friday's trading at $93.03, up 1.63%.

Five Prime Therapeutics Inc. (FPRX) has said that initial safety data from its phase I clinical trial of FPT155 in patients with advanced solid tumors suggest that it may not cause the same safety issues seen with a prior molecule targeting CD28.

FPT155 is a novel therapeutic CD80-Fc fusion protein that directly engages CD28 to enhance its co-stimulatory T-cell activation activity without inducing super agonism.

In 2006, in a phase I trial of TGN1412, a compound that targets CD28, 6 healthy volunteers had experienced serious toxicity including multi-organ failure. The trial later came to be referred to as the "elephant man drug trial" because of the disastrous side effects like severe swelling of the head, the trial participants had suffered.

Five Prime noted that FPT155 was well tolerated at all dose levels, with no dose-limiting toxicities and no grade 4 or higher adverse events. Dose escalation with FPT155 is ongoing with the study currently enrolling patients at the 70 mg dose level.

FPRX closed Friday's trading at $3.89, unchanged from the previous day's close.

Lipocine Inc.'s (LPCN) testosterone replacement therapy TLANDO is still awaiting word from the FDA regarding approval. The regulatory agency's decision on TLANDO was on November 9, 2019.

TLANDO, formerly known as LPCN 1021, is a twice-a-day oral testosterone product candidate that is designed to help restore normal testosterone levels in hypogonadal men.

The FDA had turned down TLANDO in June 2016, citing deficiencies related to the dosing algorithm for the proposed label, and in May 2018, saying that the product could not be approved in its current form.

It remains to be seen if the third time will prove lucky for TLANDO.

LPCN closed Friday's trading at $2.73, down 2.50%.

Mirati Therapeutics Inc.'s (MRTX) initial efficacy data from a phase II trial of Sitravatinib in combination with OPDIVO in metastatic urothelial cancer patients with documented progression on a platinum-chemotherapy and checkpoint inhibitor, presented on Saturday, has shown that the compound has the potential to increase responsiveness in patients whose tumors are resistant to checkpoint inhibitors.

According to the Company, out of the 22 metastatic urothelial cancer patients who were evaluable for response with at least one radiographic scan, 1 patient achieved a confirmed Complete Response and 6 archived Partial Response. Twenty-one of the twenty-two evaluable patients achieved a Complete Response, Partial Response or stable disease.

The preliminary results from an ongoing phase I study of neoadjuvant Sitravatinib combined with OPDIVO in patients with resectable squamous cell carcinoma of the oral cavity, dubbed SNOW, showed that there was tumor reduction in all eight patients who were eligible for evaluation, including one complete pathological response. With a median follow-up of 31.4 weeks, all patients are alive with no disease recurrence to date, noted the Company.

MRTX closed Friday's trading at $104.78, up 6.92%.

Nektar Therapeutics (NKTR), on Saturday, presented 18-month follow-up data from a phase I/II study of Bempegaldesleukin in combination with Opdivo in previously untreated metastatic melanoma patients, dubbed PIVOT-02.

At a median time of follow-up of 18.6 months for 38 efficacy-evaluable patients, the confirmed objective response rate (ORR) was 53%, with 34% of patients achieving confirmed complete responses. Forty-two percent of patients achieved a maximum reduction of 100% in target lesions and DCR, also known as disease control rate (CR+ Partial Response + Stable Disease), was 74%.

The median percent reduction of target lesions from baseline was 61.5%. At a median time of follow-up of 18.6 months, the median duration of response has not been reached, with 85% of patients with responses having ongoing responses, noted the Company.

A phase III trial evaluating Bempegaldesleukin in combination with Opdivo versus Opdivo in first-line advanced melanoma patients is currently recruiting patients.

NKTR closed Friday's trading at $20.04, up 7.17%.

Grant will explore low vision’s impact on healthy lifestyle behaviors – UAB News

People with vision impairments face substantial challenges in tasks of everyday living that can significantly limit their participation in healthy lifestyle choices.

Laura Dreer, Ph.D.Laura Dreer, Ph.D., associate professor with the University of Alabama at Birmingham Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences, has been awarded a grant from the Obesity Health Disparities Research Center at UAB to examine how low vision impacts engagement in healthy lifestyle behaviors and weight management and risk of obesity.

People with vision impairments face substantial challenges in tasks of everyday living. These trials can significantly limit their participation in physical activity, healthy dietary intake/nutrition, and lifestyle behaviors. For example, vision loss often interferes with meal preparation, cooking, grocery shopping all of which can impact healthy eating choices. Additionally, problems with restricted vision can also affect balance, mobility and orientation, limiting physical activity and routine exercise.

As such, this type of sensory loss may be associated with unhealthy lifestyle choices that influence greater risk for obesity and secondary health conditions in comparison to individuals with good or adequate sight.

While there is a growing amount of scientific literature documenting the higher prevalence of obesity among people with physical or intellectual disabilities versus people without disabilities, there is a limited amount of obesity research specifically studying people with a sensory disability affected by limited or low vision. Further lacking is the availability of empirically validated weight management and lifestyle programs tailored to the challenges confronted by people with this particular disability.

Dreer and colleagues preliminary data supports this notion withthat weight classification prevalence rates ranging from 53 percent obese, 26.5 percent overweight and only 20.5 percent normal weight among those diagnosed with progressive eye diseases. These rates highlight the health disparity for obesity among persons with a vision-related disability compared to the national rates among those without a disability.

She said this public health issue is particular problematic in the Deep South where obesity rates are much higher compared to other regions of the country.

Dreer and colleagues also found that higher body mass index scores, measured objectively, were significantly associated with being older and having a lower annual household income, poorer perception of health, minority race, greater number and type of chronic health conditions, slower physical activity levels and less intensity, greater sedentary behavior, greater worry over health, and poor sleep.

Greater vision impairment was significantly related to unhealthy lifestyle behaviors and sedentary behavior. However, on a promising note, 70 percent of the sample expressed an interest in losing weight and improving their health behaviors.

As part of the new grant, Dreer and colleagues will expand upon this preliminary work by proposing to further understand the unique challenges related to limited or no vision that interfere with participating in important lifestyle behaviors that are critical for managing weight and overall health. Results will then be used in the second part of the project to inform the adaptation process of an evidence-based and theoretically driven lifestyle and health program tailored to the unique challenges this population.

Local community partners will also participate in this innovative effort.

The ultimate goal is to translate the resulting program into health, recreation or sport-related organizations and agencies locally and nationally, she said. Other formats people with for people with low vision can access from their home are also being developed.

This grant is funded by the National Institute on Minority Health Disparities Research (NIMHD: U54MD000502) of the National Institutes of Health

Kim Kardashian Dragged Kourtney Kardashian for Wanting Healthy Candy at Their Daughters Birthday Parties – Cosmopolitan.com

Kourtney Kardashian has been publishing all her favorite lifestyle tips and tricks on her Poosh website, but we didnt need a whole platform to know that shes all about healthy living and being mindful of what you put in your body. In fact, shes so into that lifestyle that its really starting to get on Kim Kardashians last nerve.

In a new clip from Keeping Up With the Kardashians, Kim let Kourtney have it when Kourtney said she wanted only healthy candy, which feels like an oxymoron, at North West and Penelope Disicks Candyland birthday party.

The video starts out with them riding in the back seat of a car and with Kim asking if Kourtney had any ideas for the party. Kourtney goes, Yeah, healthy candy! So Kim was like, Its Candyland, Kourtney! Its not gonna be healthy. Kourtney disagreed and said she was going to look into it.

A few seconds later in the confessional, Kim went in on her and said Kourtney was basically being a buzzkill. She shared, Kourtney has this vision of no sugar or no disgusting chemicals in candy. Its like a completely sugar-free, gluten-free, party-free, fun-free zone because Kourtney has decided that it just doesnt make sense.

Flashing back to their car ride, Kourtney said, Theres just better solutions to your dated candy thats literally food coloring that gives people diseases. But when she mentioned that this wasnt on brand for her, thats what set Kim off. Kim clapped back with, This is about a kids party. This is not about your brand....Then why does your car have leather seats? Why are you wearing plastic glasses?

Speechless, Kourtney sat back. But in the confessional, Kourt got the last word and concluded that Kim has a dated vibe to be like that.

Whew! I am exhausted and in need of some real candy after that fight! Like, the hard stuff! Someone bring me a Kit Kat!

OU Receives Grant to Expand Healthy Living Efforts in Pontiac – Patch.com

Oakland University professors Laurel Stevenson and Jennifer Lucarelli will oversee a new grant from the Michigan Health Endowment Fund that will expand the university's collaborative efforts to promote healthy living in and around the city of Pontiac.

The two-year, $400,000 award will be used to initiate a community-based program called "Prescription for a Healthy Pontiac."

The program builds on the efforts of OU and other community partners to connect residents with local resources to improve nutrition and exercise habits. It will focus on "social prescribing" to encourage healthy eating and active living. Going beyond traditional health care, social prescribing connects individuals to non-clinical services and community resources to support health and well-being.

"We hope to facilitate and create a culture of healthy eating and physical activity within families with children and seniors, reduce loneliness and social isolation among seniors, and strengthen community relationships," Stevenson said.

Along with Oakland University, the program will be supported by the Healthy Pontiac, We Can! Coalition and the Oakland County Health Division, in collaboration with three major clinic sites in Pontiac the Gary Bernstein Community Health Clinic, Honor Community Health and St. Joseph Mercy Oakland's Mercy Place Clinic.

With an emphasis on reaching families with children and seniors, the program will offer integrated health education sessions focused on healthy eating across the lifespan; cooking on a budget; creative cooking with herbs and spices; incorporating physical activity into daily living; stress management; relaxation techniques and other topics.

Community surveys indicate that over half of Pontiac residents do not meet recommendations for fruit and vegetable consumption or physical activity, and statewide data indicates residents have higher death rates for diabetes and heart disease compared to state and national data.To address these disparities, the program will also increase offerings for fruit and vegetable voucher redemption and engage in community asset mapping to identify additional free and low-cost physical activity opportunities.

The Hi-Tech Traditionalist: From Samizdat To Memetics What Is Similar And What Is Different Between Soviet And American Dissidents – Tsarizm

Americans are late to come to terms with their loss of freedom and its consequences. Most choose to remain inside the Matrix.

Amazingly, I remember them still. Their fragile pages of carbon copy paper fraying at the edges from use by many hundreds if not thousands, use that should have shredded them to pieces a long time ago. The bindings, if you can call it that, pieces of black or green poster board sewn to the pages with simple needle and thread as if they were socks that needed darning. Inside, faint blue letters, copies of copies of copies, with the words of Alexander Solzhenitsyn or Natan Sharansky or a few lines of Hebrew text with Russian transliterations.

They made furtive appearances in our small Kiev apartment, these fleeting guests, much admired, revered almost, hidden from view, only appearing on our living room coffee table at night when special guests like the lonely Jewish jazz musician who practiced his base playing late at night in his upstairs apartment came to visit. They were read out loud, if one can call loud barely audible whispering and each passage was endlessly pored over, discussed, passionately argued.

The existence of places out there in which any book could be printed, sold, bought, and read in the open was postulated, but never really fully believed. That these same places had blue jeans and winter coats made out of synthetic materials rather than cotton wool and canvas and could be closed using (GASP) zippers, was way too much to give any credence to.

You see, my friends, in the 1970s USSR many books and other writings were forbidden to print, disseminate, and even possess. Among them were writings by those who exposed the brutality of the Soviet system and its utter incompetence in allowing the Germans to attack Russia in June of 1941 and in prosecuting the ensuing war for the first to years. There were pamphlets by prominent regime critics like Sakharov and Jewish community leaders who wished to leave the USSR and repatriate to Israel, like Sharansky and Edelshtein. For those who, like my parents, dreamed that such an impossible dream may one day become a reality and wished to be prepared, there were Hebrew language textbooks, also forbidden in the communist Russia.

The hunger for these illicit words was so large, the market demand as we might call it in the West, so strong, that an underground publishing network was born. This anti-regime, anti-communist network got a very communist name, a portmanteau, a word mashup: Samizdat. Made up from the words sam (myself) and izdatyelstvo (publishing house), Samizdat was a loose network of brave souls who had access to carbon copy machines at their place of work and who, at much personal risk to their freedom and livelihoods spent nights copying copies of forbidden books that someone had dropped off for them. The copies would then be passed from user to user, never permanently given away let alone sold, lent for a short time before they had to move on.

Samizdat was riddled with KGB infiltrators and many of its producers and users were discovered. The producers, those nocturnal copiers and binders, got prison terms. The users, like my parents, would more typically get expelled from their universities, fired from their jobs, get notes in their ever-present permanent records that would make it impossible for them to find other employment or other places to study. Quite often, their privileges of living in large cities like Kiev or Moscow or Leningrad were revoked and they had to eke out a marginal existence in the periphery, in Central Asia or in Siberia.

This happened often; Samizdat people hardly well-trained operatives. They were just secretaries and lab assistants, and grad students, but the network grew until it won the war with the regime and earned its own redundancy. Alas, things did not turn out, in the most part, as the Samizdat people had thought they would. Many of the Jewish or pretend-Jewish folks left the USSR, some in the 1970s when it was dangerous, others in the 1990s when it was safe, some to settle in Israel, others in Brighton Beach. Non-Jews stayed on through the terrible deprivations of the 1990s and on to Putins klepto-oligarchy of today.

But what about that magical place at the other end of the rainbow, the place of blue jeans and rock n roll, of freedom to print and read anything we want?

It did seem for a while that such a place had indeed existed, didnt it? I well remember my fathers great sigh of relief when on a grey chilly morning in November of 1973 our train crossed the miles upon miles of razor wire that was the East German Austrian border. This was the West! We were finally free.

Nearly half a century had passed since those giddy days and it was not kind to the original inhabitants of the Land of Freedom. They took for granted the freedom that so many in the USSR were willing to give their very lives for and they squandered it. They sold it for cheap drugs, cheap porn, cheap government handouts. They treated it like a crack whore, this precious gift of liberty that was handed down to them by the blood of generations upon generations of their ancestors. They flooded their countries with countless foreigners to whom the concept of freedom was as foreign as gay marriage would have been to the Founding Fathers.

Liberty is not a bird that long lives where it is not wanted, so it has long since departed the lands of the West, perhaps all the lands of Men and returned, Tolkien-like, to its abode somewhere far beyond the setting sun. The America of today, that erstwhile bastion of freedom, that shimmering mirage that glimmered over the western skies of my childhood and did battle with the Soviet jammers on short wave radio when I was a kid is no longer any more free than the USSR used to be, though it is still far more prosperous. Just like in the early days of the Bolshevik revolution, the American Bolsheviks are engaging in a frenzy of statue destruction and book banning. Just like in the old Soviet bloc or in todays China, faceless apparatchiks are lording it over us every second of every day from their sinecures at the Deep State and its metastatic arms, the corporate HR departments.

Just like there, in the East, we in the West are forced to believe and publicly profess things that are obviously false, though here they are, perversely, of predominantly sexual nature. Things that were and should be abhorrent to every human throughout history like sodomy and the sexual exploitation of children are celebrated in the public square, any opposition to them earning you the Soviet treatment of losing your job, your university admissions, your livelihood, your career, your electronic platform.

Signs of resistance are appearing. American dissidents like Laura Loomer, brave souls who are willing to risk much are standing up to be counted. An American Samizdat of sorts, adjusted for the 21st century is being born in the shape of memetics, images and short video clips that cut through the chase with scathing humor and deadly accuracy. Because the creation of these communiques requires a free and even rebellious spirit, our grey masters suck at this medium. No one they can hire can do it well simply because the condition of hire is unquestioning allegiance to Loshanqua from HR and daily recital of diversity is our strength and men can menstruate. People like that cannot meme and will never be able to.

Pepe the Frog is a great symbol of freedom from the rule of the world elites, but let yourself not be fooled, he is more of a sanctioned safety valve variety than a true revolutionary. All totalitarian regimes have safety valves, means for the enslaved masses to express their discontent, to grumble, to have an illusion of agency, a mirage of freedom. It is simply cheaper to maintain these safety valves than to engage in Stalinist full-scale nonstop repression. A population that is, Matrix-like, manipulated to think that it is (or may one day be) free is a more peaceful, compliant, and productive population than one that has no hopes for a better life and has only experienced beatings. Plus, repeated beatings have a problem with diminished returns as populations subject to them develop an ever-higher threshold for pain.

Samizdat was to a large degree a safety valve. The KGB could have shut it down in a minute. The communist party simply didnt want them to. They were ordered to play a cat and mouse game which convinced the Samizdat people that they were doing something exceptionally brave and that things were getting better because of them, but was never intended to shut them down.

The much more sophisticated totalitarian rulers of America have developed a system of two complimentary safety valves. First and foremost they have a stable of bought and paid for mainstream resistance leaders who go on Fox and some other media channels and utter strong words from behind fat contracts and daily briefings that set out in excruciating detail just how stunningly brave they are allowed to be. These are the Laura Ingrahams, the Sean Hannitys, the Tucker Carlsons and the Ben Shapiros of the world. They could be called controlled opposition, if they were any kind of opposition rather than simply the loyal employees of the ruling technocracy. This safety valve is now operating at near 100% efficiency and its efficacy is unmatched.

Yet the highly advanced American ruling elites, having built themselves up on the shoulders of high technology, are not satisfied with this valve alone. To supplement it, they have allowed, on the margins, a Samizdat-like grassroots resistance movement that produces memes and wacko conspiracy theories and constantly pats itself on the shoulder for being so amazingly, so stunningly brave. Just like Samizdat, the folks in this movement, the likes of Jack Posobiec and many others do not work for the elites, but they might as well be because they provide Americans with an illusion of freedom, a simulacrum of it, and most regrettably with an excuse not to see the truth and start developing real strategies for coping with it.

Just like the KGB could shut Samizdat down at will, so can the the American techno-oligarchy shut down Pepe and his disciples within moments from being ordered to do so. Not a single 1 or 0, neither a solitary electron, nor a lonesome photon goes from one place to the next in America without express permission of the elites. Of that we can be certain. So the truth, my friends, is much worse than it appears to be. But wait! There is more! Not content with creating the best let-the-steam-out social safety valves that have ever existed, the American ruling classes have created historys most powerful social control instrument: fiat money.

You see, money does not exist anymore. What exists are 1s and 0s that our rulers have made us believe to be money. And since they control everything about these 1s and 0s, they control everything about money. Dont believe me? Ask yourself what would happen to your mortgage payments if interest rates go up by a couple of percent.

So here is the bottom line, folks. That glimmering, shimmering mirage that was the West, with its freedom and liberty and blue jeans did exist for a while, but it didnt put up much of a fight and sold itself out for a few fake dollars. Now what remains to us is what the real dissidents in the USSR had: the freedom of the mind. Consuming, uncritically, the 1s and 0s that come at us from any source including this one does not make you free or brave. Think for yourself. Become an intellectual. Read old books before they are banned and destroyed. Watch old movies and try to get into the minds of Americans from decades past, Americans who really were free. Understand what has been lost. Mourn it. When repeating the mantras that our rulers demand of us, keep a strong mental reservation. Acknowledge to yourself that they are false, ridiculous even, but repeat them nonetheless. After all, you still have a mortgage to pay and kids to put through college.

Speaking of kids, have them. Have many kids and teach them that once there was freedom and maybe, if they are lucky they may yet experience it for themselves one day though that day may be far, far away.

Litecoin Correction Causes Serious Bearish Action, Why Further Pullback is Likely – newsBTC

Litecoin has witnessed a lot of price reductions over the past three days due to a significant correction which is making the bears gain control of the market.

However, a bullish step back is expected for LTC, once it climbs back above $60 price level, although the $61 resistance is an essential level for the next bullish phase on the hourly chart.

Following November 10, rejection at $66, Litecoin has remained in a downward range. The latest bearish scenario has caused LTC to trade inside a descending wedge, but the price is now sitting on the lower boundary of the wedge.

Therefore, a retracement could be underway to the upper boundary of the wedge at $60. A break above the wedge could allow the bulls to regain control of the market. This could bring the next resistance levels at $62, followed by a decent rally to $64.6 resistance levels.

Litecoin is currently holding near support at $58. This support could become weak if we continue to witness a devastating price drop.

However, we may need to keep an eye on the $57 and $56 supports in the next swing low. Additionally, Litecoin is still showing a bullish sign on the daily chart.

The market structure looks bullish on the higher time frame, but, the lower time frame is currently suggesting a bearish mode for Litecoin.

Meanwhile, the last three days downward direction is just a sign of a small pullback on the daily chart. We can expect a bullish continuation in the next couple of days. Otherwise, we may continue to see a decline until Litecoin finds vital support for a rebound.

Technical Indicator Reading:
