Malaysia. It's more exotic than Thailand and slightly more laid back i.e. no one hassles you. We passed through the boarder by minibus without any problems as there has been 'trouble at mill' of late in the provinces of southwest Thailand we drove through the south eastern part. It gave me the opportunity to take in the scenery which was more or less lush pine trees as far as the eye could see
