After Abel Tasman National Park we drove down the west coast stopping off at small towns Westport and Greymouth down to Franz Josef When we got to Franz Josef we did a half day Glacier walk. We walked through the rainforest until we got to the glacier where climbed 1km up through a ice tunnel to a top of a glacier. It was amazing and surprisingly easy to walk on.
