The investors are among a group of Hong Kong and mainland individuals buying and exchanging the virtual currency bitcoins through Kryptogroup and its Hong Kong-registered transaction platform, mycoin.hk.

Under Kryptogroup's system, bitcoin investors would sign "head contracts" with the group to buy 90 bitcoins at the beginning and accumulate 0.64 bitcoins a day for 12 months.

Their gains would multiply when they signed subcontracts, usually with appealing bonuses.

However, as Kryptogroup allegedly began changing the conditions on December 7 without issuing proper notices, some investors found themselves suddenly unable to invest in new subcontracts under the previous terms or exchange their bitcoins into Hong Kong dollars in accordance with the international market rate.

While the mycoin.hk website remains operational, its phone line is directed to voicemail, and its Tsim Sha Tsui office is closed for "internal renovation," with the company name taken off the building's directory.

An investor surnamed Chan, 81, said she tried contacting the four sales staff who approached her in the first place but to no avail. Many investors were introduced to the investment platform through professionals such as legal executives and property and insurance agents.

An investor surnamed Lau alleged she was tricked by her legal executive to join the platform as she recalled telling him she needed time to think about it, yet her bitcoin accounts were set up in just hours, without her official approval.

Lawmaker Leung Yiu-chung, who is helping the investors, said they were lured by the professional backgrounds of the sales team.

February 7, 2015 - Major Arena Soccer League (MASL) Missouri Comets INDEPENDENCE, Mo (February 8, 2015) - The Missouri Comets (17-0) will try to sweep the series and add another victory to their seventeen-game winning streak when they visit the Wichita B-52's (8-8) at Hartman Arena on Sunday.

Andonovski's team is coming from a solid 10-5 victory over the St. Louis Ambush on Friday night at the Family Arena. On the other hand, the men in orange will host the Milwaukee Wave at 7:05 p.m. CT tonight.

New Hartford's Zalewski powers Comets to weekend sweep over Flames

GLENS FALLS, N.Y. - New Hartford native Mike Zalewski had his best game as a pro, scoring the game tying and game winning goals in the 3rd period to elevate the Comets to their 9th straight win over the Adirondack Flames, Saturday.

Less than 24 hours after defeating the Flames at the Glens Falls Civic Center 4-2, for their 8th straight win against the division rival, the Comets got clutch play from the hometown rookie to complete the weekend sweep.

The Comets started the scoring in the first period as Will Acton won a foot race down the wing, getting the puck across the crease to Carter Bancks who finished into the empty portion of the net to make it 1-0.

They took that lead into the second, where Turner Elson beat Jacob Markstrom to knot things up at one, at the 13:12 mark of the period.

In the third, it appeared as though the Comets domination of the Flames may have been in jeopardy as Emile Poirier split the D and slipped the puck past Markstrom to give Adirondack a 2-1 lead.

However, the Cardiac Comets struck yet again as just 22 seconds after Poirier's goal, Zalewski won a foot race down the length of the ice and put a backhander past goalie Joni Ortio, for his 2nd of the season, and with that the game was tied once again.

It remained a deadlock until the former New Hartford Spartan and RPI Engineer had another great individual effort with the pick pocket in the neutral zone, before skating it himself down the right wing and ripping of a quick release snapshot that found the bottom left corner past Ortio and into the net for his second of the night, giving Utica the lead back once again 3-2.

Markstrom stayed the course the rest of the way as his 37 saves proved just enough as the Comets came away with another two points, and continued to have Adirondack's number.

Woman with psoriasis claims supermarket bosses asked her to leave after customers complained about her scars

A WOMAN who suffers from a painful skin condition says she was asked to leave a supermarket after complaints from customers about her appearance.

Psoriasis sufferer Kate Dalessio, 58, was told fellow shoppers in Sainsbury's had commented about scarring on her arms and claims the manager asked her to leave.

Angry Kate has accused the supermarket giants of treating her like a shoplifter and plans to sue.

But store bosses deny asking her to leave and say they were only trying to defuse an ugly situation as the shoppers who complained were getting more aggressive.

Managers insist they were only trying to protect Kate until the other shoppers had left and say she is welcome back any time.

The incident happened as Kate was out with her sister Alessandria, 59, at the Sainsburys store in Meadowbank, Edinburgh.

She says that she was taken to the duty managers office before being escorted out of the store in front of staff and customers.

Kate said: The duty manager told me that there had been complaints from two customers that I was being offensive.

He explained that they objected to the state of my arms.

I was wearing a sleeveless top and you could see the scarring my condition causes. The manager then took me downstairs back through the store in front of everyone to the exit.

Travel planning advised ahead of opening event

Travel planning advised ahead of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2015 opening event

The opening event of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2015 New Zealand is now only three days away and travel planning for the day will be crucial in minimising the impact on journey times on the day.

The ICC Cricket World Cup 2015 Opening event in North Hagley Park on Thursday 12 February, starting at 6.30pm, will see higher volumes of traffic on Central City roads, particularly around North Hagley Park.

Christchurch Transport Operations Centre (CTOC) Manager Ryan Cooney says it is imperative that both those attending the ICC Cricket World 2015 opening event on Thursday 12 February and regular commuters, stay ahead of the game and plan their journey atwww.tfc.govt.nz<http://www.tfc.govt.nz>.

"We're asking people to do something different that day. If you work in the Central City and plan to go the event, consider staying in the city and walking to the event. If you're coming to the event later in the day, parking is available in North Hagley Park and surrounding areas where we would encourage people to park and walk to the event.

"There will be people travelling in and out of the CBD on the day of the opening event, which will result in an increase in traffic volumes particularly around the North Hagley side of town.

"We want to make sure everyone has plenty of time to get to where they're going and we would encourage everyone to plan ahead, check their intended route and allow a bit of extra time," Mr Cooney says.

Consider doing something different that day: * Stay in the city - work in the Central City? Walk to the event after work. * Check with your employer to see if you can work flexible work hours and avoid possible travel delays. * Why not walk, take the bike or go by bus? * Driving? Plan your parking http://www.tfc.govt.nz/parking<http://www.tfc.govt.nz/parking> * For public transport go to http://www.metroinfo.co.nz * Not going to the opening event? Use Madras Street, Barbadoes Street and Fitzgerald Avenue for Central City travel.
