LIBERTY - The Liberty SADD Chapter (Students Against Destructive Decisions) proudly presents the Third Annual Spring Fling 5K Race/Walk on Sunday, April 28, at Liberty High School. Registration begins at 7 a.m. and the race kicks off at 9 a.m.

The race route will be the same as last year, and competitive runners will be organized by age bracket. The Spring Fling Fun-Run for kids 12 and under will take place at the conclusion of the main race. There is no entry fee for the Fun-Run. Registration form and route map are available at the district website: http://www.libertyk12.org.

Proceeds from the race will benefit the Liberty Boys and Girls Club, an after-school program that serves Liberty Middle School students in grades 5 to 7. The recipient was chosen by popular vote by the high school student body.

"Everyone just really wanted the money [raised] to help out a local organization, and the Boys and Girls Club seemed perfect, said Melissa Symanski, this year's event co-chairperson and SADD member.
