Back in Canada
We entered Texas at the RenosaPharr boarder crossing and compared to the central american crossings it was quick pleasent and painless. We were also glad to finally be able to understand everything they were saying. About 100kms down the road we came to a checkpoint designed to stop people smuggling. A dog sniffed the rv to check if we were harbouring any Mexican Aliens...a little strange... of

I walked down to Bay Hudson and looked around then went to the top for lunch. I sat opposite the Old City Hall so managed to take great photos. I spoke to my parents and my brother for the first time. I wondered about and into Dundas Square where a dance show was taking place. The first part I saw was called Nia a type of relaxing dance for loosening your muscles mainly for older people.
The Train
I hardly slept but just spend the day listening to my ipod and reading magazines. I ate so much as I had taken cookie sandwiches crisps and fruit which I only ate an apple of. We stopped for an hour in the middle of know where the only shops really were the valumart and a hardware store. It was nice to get fresh air and walk about though. I went for a proper meal which was great. I had s

Day 4 Methven
I woke up this morning with no hangover I was completely surprised I thought for sure I would be out. After breakfast Yella Lee and myself headed downtown to Big Al's. Big Al's is a ski shop and they were having a sale on ski equipment. Big Al was there with his suit and clip on tie which he clearly did not even attempt to put on correctly. It was almost sideways and you could see it was
Day 5 Lake Tekapo
I headed out for Lake Tekapo some time in the morning. I was sad to leave since the hospitality at the Big Tree lodge was so amazing. Lee said Sad to see you go mate in his thick NZ accent. I forgot to take a picture of the lodge I also forgot my 12 bottles of beer I had bought. Lee called me about 10 minutes out to tell me I left the beer I told him it was all his. The ride towards Lake

Day 3 Lyttelton Methven
Just some things I forgot to mention earlier. I met a woman at the CHCH airport when I arrived she was from California. Her son lived in Royal Oak right near main street. I can now fully accept the fact that it is a small world. Also I forgot to talk about the roads to Akaroa when I went. They were very narrow and constantly winding. The speed limit was 62mph. The scary part was that peo

After our adrenaline pump at Lake Taupo we headed to the Tongariro National Park next morning to attempt the best oneday walking track of New Zealand. This walk brings you through the landscape you might have seen in the Lord of the Rings movies some scenes actually were shot here.
