Delhi.I feel like a local. I have not been anywhere near as intimidated as I thought I would in Delhi in fact I have felt very relaxed ever since I arrived... apart from the slight issue with the phone topup going a bit skewwhiff. I met a guy called Ajit through a friend a French girl from England I made in Pushkar. We met up a couple of times and as his mother lives in Allahabad he was ta

YoSo far so good in the heading home department. Weather hot and muggy when we left both on Fri and the early part of Saturday. No much rain fortunately. Fri nite we stopped just before Atlanta that enabled us to go thru Atlanta early STy am and at that it was busy enough. It gets to be like a parking lot as you progress into Atlanta and we were doing bumper to bumper at 2

Today i feel like neardeath. I started feeling dodgy yesterday while I was sitting in a hammock outside our bedroom door and writing my blog. I felt a little bit achey and knew I was coming down with what Ed Sarah Will and Maddy had a few days ago. I also had a very bloated uncomfortable feeling in my stomach which wouldn't go away and which I'd put down to eating too much right before bed the

My Dad in India
Ever since I arrived in India I have been thinking more and more about my heritage and where half of me originates from. My Dad's family are originally from Pakistan in the Punjab region and although he was brought up in Kenya his family are traditional Pakistani Muslims living now in Pakistan Kenya and England. My only involvement with my Dad's side of the family was for large family gathering

Narbonne 03.04.2011
Amritsar city of Sikhs
Amritsar is dirty noisy and smelly. We liked it so much we decided to stay 5 days.Let me explain the key attraction is the golden temple the holiest place in India for Sikhs. We went on day 1 in the midday sun and in all honesty I was ever so slightly frazzled by heat and underwhelmed. It's a temple it's golden. Um. But we went twice more early morning and late at night and were entirely

Hong Kong Airport
So a long day of travel behind us and one flight ahead and we will arrive in Bangkok. The journey has been long but very easy and straight forward. Omaha to Denver Denver to LA a final cheeseburger and fries with a Budweiser to wash it down then the 15.5 hour flight to Hong Kong where we are now. In total I think we'll be traveling for 30 hours but we have nothing to do but sleep when w
Culo del Mundo Verdens roevhul

90000 Miles on Balaam’s Beast
We rolled 90000 miles on the van we are borrowing whom we affectionately have named Balaam's Beast. If you are unfamiliar with who Balaam or his beast is check out Numbers 2224 or trusty Wikipedia . After about 2000 miles into our journey it is our desire that the Lord take us right where we should go and if we need to slow down adjust our route or just plain listen more carefully to G
Mother’s Day at the Great Wall
Wow what an amazing Mother's Day we have had. To quote mum This has to be the most memorable Mother's Day ever We were up and out by 7am and our driver took us up to MutianYu a part of the Great Wall which we had been recommended by several friends. It was a chilly yet sunny start to the day but well worth emerging from our beds super early. It is a national holiday called Qing Ming this i
