Boston Red Sox's Sleeper Prospects to Watch in Spring Training

Jason O. Watson/Getty Images Zeke Spruill is a name Red Sox fans may not have heard of.

The start of spring training is only a few weeks away for the Boston Red Sox. A revamped Boston squad is set to take the field in Fort Myers, Florida, next month looking to bounce back from a last-place finish in 2014.

Top draft picks like Blake Swihart and Henry Owens are sure to capture everyone's attention when they suit up for the Red Sox in February and March. On the other hand, who are some of the lesser-known youngsters looking to make a splash this spring?

Whether they're on the 40-man roster or likely to be in camp as non-roster invitees, here are a few of Boston's sleeper prospects to keep a eye on when the 2015 exhibition season begins.

Zeke Spruill, RHP

Zeke Spruill is a 25-year-old righty who stands 6'5" and already has some brief major league experience under his belt. The Red Sox acquired Spruill from the Arizona Diamondbacksfor minor league pitcher Myles Smith in an under-the-radar trade back in December.

Via Ryan Hannable of WEEI, Boston general manager Ben Cherington had this to say about Spruill at the time of the deal:

We liked how he looked out of the bullpen, how his stuff played out of the pen. Guy who keeps the ball on the ground. Has good stuff, good life on his fastball and breaking ball. Just looked like a different guy out of the pen and we wanted to take a shot at it because in the series of trades we made this week, obviously moving Alex Wilson and a couple of guys in this trade for Wade [Miley], it just helps us replenish some of the young pitching depth we gave up this week.

Spruill pitched a total of 34 innings with the Diamondbacks in 2013 and 2014, posting a 4.24 ERA and 1.56 WHIP. He has slightly better numbers over the course of his minor league career, including a 47-50 record with a 3.85 ERA and 1.28 WHIP. Spruill will likely be among several relievers competing for one of the Red Sox's final bullpen spots to start the season.

Red Bull 2015 F1 car not ready yet

Red Bull Racing team principal Christian Horner has admitted his team hasn't completed the build on its 2015 F1 challenger just days before it is set to hit the track in Jerez for pre-season testing.

The team, which is seeking to reclaim its F1 crown after being comprehensively beaten by the dominant Mercedes in 2014, has spent the winter attempting to bring itself up to speed, but has left the build of its Renault-powered car very late.

With just four days before the car will be rolled out for the first day of testing in Spain, though Horner acknowledges the team is cutting it fine, he insists it will be ready on time.

The car is not ready yet, he said. The car is flat out into car build at the moment, so it is probably the shortest production and assembly in ten seasons. It is unbelievable what the factory has turned around so far [but there is] till plenty to do before Sunday.

Despite the tight turnaround, Horner is confident Red Bull will avoid a repeat of last year's disastrous opening test, which saw it complete only a handful of laps due to persistent technical gremlins

This one can't be any worse than that, he continued. I think we managed four laps over four days and the car would either stop of track or catch fire. I think it has been a far more positive winter compared to last year.

We know where the benchmark is and what we need to achieve. As the team continues to evolve and grow, I think it has been the most impressive winter we have had as a team in terms of everything coming together. From that perspective it has been a positive winter.

Red Bull Racing heads into 2015 with renewed optimism, led by a revised driver line-up which sees Daniel Ricciardo replace Ferrari-bound Sebastian Vettel as team leader and Daniil Kvyat step up from Toro Rosso.

Furthermore, Red Bull and Toro Rosso will become the sole focus of engine suppliers Renault, with Horner saying the French firm has been busy chasing an 'aggressive' development process to bring its much maligned hybrid power unit up to speed.

This year strategically you can upgrade during the year. Renault are taking an aggressive development approach to this year and strategically we just need to decide when to use those tokens in the four engines you have available to you.

The dress is a beautiful shade of midnight almost aubergine blue so I went with shades of indigo, deep grey and purple to shade and shape the eye. On the lid is a wash of soft pink so the whole look is very femme fatal.

A soft wash of pink on the cheek is to keep her looking soft and delicate. Wow, no wonder Naomi looked amazing! Keep reading to find out from Pati how to recreate this look!

First I prepped Naomis skin with PrevageAnti-Aging Moisture Cream for a dewy glow, and then prepped her lips with Elizabeth Arden Eight HourCream.

Now, how to recreate her gorgeous eye makeup!

For the eyes, I wanted the depth and structure to be focused at the outer corners. To elongate Naomis eyes, I used a combination of three different pencils.

First, I used Elizabeth Arden Precision Glide Eyeliner in Slate to define the lash line at the outer corner.

Red Hill, Victoria: Travel guide and things to do

For full functionality of this site it is necessary to enable JavaScript. Here are the instructions how to enable JavaScript in your web browser.

Red Hill is essentially a somewhat diffuse rural borough located in the Mornington Peninsula's hinterland which is in fact an entirely different world to the calm foreshores of Port Phillip Bay and the rugged coastline on the southern side of the peninsula. As you head into the middle of the peninsula, from either side, there is a major change in the natural environment as you climb up into virtual high country which is characterised by gum trees, quiet lanes, hilly terrain, dirt roads, farms, orchards, small general stores and, tucked away amidst the trees and hills, some cafes and restaurants and plenty of galleries and vineyards. There has been a profusion of the latter in recent years as the terrain, temperate climate and fertile soil have proved ideal for oenology. The area is noted for its pinot noir, shiraz and chardonnay. Land here is quite expensive and so an air of exclusivity hangs in the air. Former prime minister, Malcolm Fraser, has recently taken up residence in the area.

Red Hill was first settled in 1862 and became known for its fruit orchards. With a 1996 population of 960, it is located 73 km south of Melbourne and about five kilometres east ofDromana. To get there head out of Dromana via McCulloch Rd which passes under the freeway then take a right turn onto Arthurs Seat Rd which becomes the Red Hill toShorehamRd.

Middens on the peninsula indicate that Aborigines used the area on a seasonal basis for hundreds if not thousands of years before the arrival of Europeans. The first white settlers at what is now Red Hill were James Wideman and John Arkwell who arrived in 1862.

The Red Hill Community markets are held in Red Hill Rd on the first Saturday of each month from 8.00 a.m. to 1.00 p.m., September to May. The Red Hill Agricultural Show is held each year in March, the Cool Climate Wine Show in April, Art Red Hill in May, the Queen's Birthday Winter Wine Weekend in June, the Red Hill Garden Festival in October and the Red Hill Country Music and Truck Festival in December.

Tourist Information The Dromana Visitor Information Centre is located on Point Nepean Rd atDromana, tel: (03) 5987 3078 or (1800) 804 009.

Walking Track The Red Hill to Merricks Walking Track (8 km return) starts from the car park at Blue Moon Junction in Red Hill, near the shops. It follows the old railway line through forest and farmland and past wineries to Merricks Station Reserve on Merricks Rd.

Eldridge Estate Eldridge Estate, established in 1986, is located in Arthurs Seat Rd (formerly Red Hill Rd), 100 m east of Andrews Lane. They specialise in chardonnay and pinot noir but also produce a fruity gamay and a sparkling pf. The cellar door is open from 11.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m. on weekends but every day in January and most school holidays or by appointment, tel and fax: (03) 5989 2644. The email address is fizz@ eldridge-estate.com.au

Darling Park Vineyard Darling Park Vineyard, established in 1987, is a boutique vineyard located in Red Hill Rd, between McIlroys Rd and Stanleys Rd. It is open weekends, public holidays and every day in January from 11.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m., tel: (03) 5989 2324, or fax: (03) 5989 2254. They produce a range of wines - merlot, cabernet merlot, querida (dry rose), pinot gris, shiraz, chardonnay (dry and late-picked), pinot noir and 'Decadence' (desert rose). Tartes flambees are served from a wood-fired oven on weekends, public holidays and by special request.

It's fair to say that summer's still a long way off, but Rochelle Humes was channelling a sunshine vibe when she headed to the ITV studios on Monday.

Appearing on the Lorraine show, the Saturdays singer was pushing her own fashion range, wearing a striped lantern mini skirt from her own Very collection.

The 25-year-old teamed the number with a black V-neck top from high-street store, Zara, giving the look some edge with a leather biker jacket.

SAG Awards 2015 Red Carpet Recap: Photos Of The Best And Worst Dressed Stars

The biggest stars in Hollywood came out Sunday night for the 21st annual Screen Actors Guild Awards. The event, held at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles, celebrated 2014's outstanding performances in film and primetime television.

Sixty-five actors were nominated, but only 13 people walked away with the Actorstatuette. However, not all the focus was on the SAG stage. Here are the best and worst dressed stars that caught our attention on the 2015 SAG Awards red carpet:

Best Dressed

Lupita Nyongo

Absolutely stunning! Lupita Nyongo was on hand at the Screen Actors Guild Awards to present an award alongside Jared Leto. The 31-year-old wore a striped watercolor Elie Saab gown with long sleeves and a deep V-neck cut. Nyongo gets double points for donning a shorter version of the dress for the Weinstein after-party.

Kaley Cuoco

Kaley Cuoco of The Big Bang Theory kept her SAG red carpet look simple yet elegant. Her red Romona Keveza gown hugged her svelte frame and her Forevermark diamonds were the perfect accessory to look like Hollywood royalty.

Melissa Rauch

Kaley Cuoco wasnt the only Big Bang Theory star turning heads. All eyes were on Melissa Rauch in a color block strapless Pamella Roland gown.

Lupita Nyong'o Loved This Print So Much She Wore Similar Long and Short Elie Saab Dresses to the SAG Awards!

Lupita Nyong'o is in love...with a print!

Never one to play it safe, the star of Star Wars: The Force Awakens turned heads when she walked the red carpet at the 21st Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards at The Shrine Auditorium in L.A. Sunday. The actress modeled a floor-length, floral print gown that featured dramatic black stripes. The daring design came from Elie Saab's Pre-Fall 2015 collection, which was unveiled in December 2014. Nyong'o, 31, completed her look with Sophia Webster heels and Art-Deco-inspired Fred Leighton diamond earrings.

Nyong'o and Jared Leto, 43, co-presented the award for Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Television Movie or Miniseries to Mark Ruffalo for The Normal Heart. Ruffalo was asleep on the East Coast, as he had to report to set Monday morning for Now You See Me: The Second Act. Nyong'o and Leto accepted on his behalf.

Micaela Erlanger styled both stars' looks.

After the ceremony ended, Nyong'o changed up her lookslightly. When she arrived at The Weinstein Company and Netflix's 2015 SAG Awards after-party, held at Sunset Tower in L.A., the Jungle Book star wore a fit-and-flare Elie Saab dress that was reminiscent of her red carpet look, thanks to its striking floral pattern and stripe detail. Perhaps coincidentally, the dresses appear side-by-side in the look book!

At the event, Nyong'o partied with a handful of Orange Is the New Black stars, including Danielle Brooks and Lorraine Toussaint. She also took an Instagram selfie with Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Comedy Series winner Uzo Aduba, writing, "Congratulations to my super-talented, sweet sweet friend, @uzoaduba for taking home the Actor tonight. Very well-deserved. @sagawards #oitnb."

Check out more from the SAG Awards tonight on E! News at 7 p.m. and 11 p.m.

Georgia: Tinkering with the Countrys Dance DNA

Three long-limbed, statuesque women swirl across the stage in red dresses. Their drooping sleeves slash the air. Their bleached, buzz-cut heads glow in the dim light. Always seeking a balance between tradition and innovation, the tiny South Caucasus country of Georgia is experimenting again -- this time by seeking to meld modern dance with folk dance. Unlike in the West, dance in Georgia is not the domain of the artistic few. Intricate, gravity-defying folk dances are a national obsession, a genre believed to show the country at its best. The focal point of this obsession is the state-funded Georgian National Ballet Sukhishvili, a 70-year-old company now pushing the boundaries of Georgias national dance identity with a privately financed modern-dance project. Called the Ramishvilebi, in honor of the Georgian National Ballets legendary co-founder, Nino Ramishvili, the group gives women more dynamic roles, uses a mix of jazz, electronic and Georgian traditional music, and creates more room for improvisation. It is contemporary female dancers initially dance in flesh-colored leotards that make them appear topless but [i]ts accent and soul is [sic] very Georgian, underlined Nino Sukhishvili, the companys 50-year-old general director, who oversees the modern-dance projects costumes and sets. The Georgian National Ballet Sukhishvilis core choreography reflects the desire of Ramishvili and her husband, fellow ballet dancer Ilia Sukhishvili, to blend dance traditions from Georgias regions with classical ballet. Men perform dizzying jumps and high-speed spins to a raging drumbeat or dance on their toes the repertory of twists, twirls and tumbles could put any modern break-dancer to the test, The New York Times wrote in 1988, when the company first toured the US. Womens roles are far more demure, with much graceful gliding across the stage, but have evolved in recent years to include a military dance. Nino Sukhishvili and her 42-year-old brother, the ensembles chief choreographer and artistic director, Iliko Sukhishvili (grandchildren of the ensembles co-founders) maintain that they want the troupe to recognize the past while keeping in step with the times. The modern-dance performances symbolic trio of dancers in red evolves from a folk dance for three women (Samaia) modeled on frescoes of Georgias medieval Queen Tamar, they note. Its finale, which features women in strapless black dresses with red targets on their chests, draws from the traditional military dance, Khorumi. Nonetheless, to be true to the folk roots of our dance and create something new is very difficult, conceded Iliko Sukhishvili. One American professional dancer agrees. Overall, modern dances fluid movement is at odds with the strict pattern of most Georgian dance, noted Mira Cooks, a dancer with the New-York-City-based Battery Dance Company. In 2013, the New York troupe staged master-classes for Georgian dancers that emphasized improvisation and breaking the rigid gender-conscious code that is typical of the Georgian dances. Breaking norms is a routine with which the Georgian National Ballet Sukhishvili is familiar. In the late 1920s, Nino Ramishvili danced with her later husband, Iliko Sukhishvili, in male national costume, whipping off her hat at the end to show the audience that she was a woman. The dance (Ilouri) has since become a standard performance. Other innovations have included Latin dances, and a folkotheque experiment the company brought on stage in 2004 to combine Georgian and dance-club music. The experiment sparked Georgian youngsters to try out the moves themselves in Georgian discos, Nino Sukshishvili claimed. How far most Georgian viewers are willing to go with this latest transformation of the company remains an open question, according to David Bukhrikidze, a theater critic at the news-monthly Liberali. By mixing traditional and electronic music as well as Georgian dance elements with modern ones, the project is bound to divide, Bukhridze said. The project is not the first modern-dance venture for Georgia, but traditionalists indeed frown upon it as non-Georgian, or simply bewildering. A confused jumble of movements, without a clear direction, scoffed one 42-year-old woman. I dont see the point, really. Forty-three-year-old former Sukhishvili soloist Tea Darchia, whose daughter, Mariam Matiashvili, dances in the Ramishvilebi, thinks that the group is too early for the Georgian audience, just like the Georgian National Ballet Sukhishvili itself was too early for the audience in the 1940s. The troupes productions take a few years to get to peoples heart[s], but then they are there to stay, said Darchia, who danced with the company for 28 years. Otar Kantaria, a 30-year-old international-development professional, already calls the modern-dance shows pure energy, with music that takes Georgian sound to another level. Such enthusiasm also can be seen among younger dance students in this ever-dancing country. The modern-dance groups creators, as well as participants, stress that they only welcome the debate. Said 20-year-old Tatia Ukleba, part of the Ramishvilebis symbolic trio of dancers in red, healthy criticism makes you stronger.

The Jawbreaker star, 41, walked the red carpet for The Daily Front Row's 1st Annual Fashion Los Angeles Awards, held at Sunset Tower Hotel in West Hollywood Thursday. Red Sox set for another worst-to-first rebound

A year ago, manager John Farrell stood outside their Spring Training clubhouse and oozed with optimism. World Series championships in back-to-back seasons was his dream. Instead, the thud you heard was the Red Sox hitting the basement concrete once again as the AL East cellar dwellers.

But rather than walk around with his head bowed, executive vice president and general manager Ben Cherington took a deep breath, swallowed hard and became one of the most active movers and shakers in Major League Baseball this offseason.

Cherington spent $88 million to sign Hanley Ramirez, who began in Boston's Minor League system before stops with the Marlins and Dodgers.

And while fans were grieving over the failure of persuading former Red Sox favorite Jon Lester to return to Fenway Park, Cherington pulled off what I consider a shrewd marketing ploy: He gave "The Panda," former Giants All-Star third baseman Pablo Sandoval, a five-year, $95 million deal to bring his talents and charisma to Boston.

Sandoval, Ramirez introduced in Boston

It was a big day in Boston as Pablo Sandoval and Hanley Ramirez were introduced as the newest members of the Red Sox

Can you imagine how Sandoval will excite Red Sox fans? Sure, he was in the middle of San Francisco's three World Series titles the past five seasons, but I'll guarantee you the Red Sox's marketing department is already ordering stuffed pandas, bobble heads -- you name it.

And, yes, there was the trade of Yoenis Cespedes to Detroit for underrated right-handed pitcher Rick Porcello. With Justin Verlander, David Price and Max Scherzer also in the Tigers' rotation, Porcello was under the radar, but he won 15 games with an impressive 3.43 ERA.

Sandoval elevated the adrenaline and hopes of Red Sox fans when he was asked recently if Boston would win its division. "We will," he said flatly. At this stage of the winter, it's hard to disagree.

Gwyneth Paltrow and co-star Olivia Munn turn heads at Mortdecai L.A premiere

Paltrow, 42, showed off her legs in a dramatic blue gown with a sash waist as she posed outside Hollywoods TCL Chinese Theatre.

The Iron Man star who plays Johanna, the wife of Charlie Mortdecai (Johnny Depp) in the upcoming action comedy was joined by her co-star Munn who looked equally as stunning.

The 34-year-old actress worked a sensational black dress with daring sheer panelling as she posed alongside Ewan McGregor.

McGregor, 43, shunned a traditional suit in favour of a leather jacket and black bow tie combination.

Also joining his co-stars on the red carpet was Jurassic Park actor Jeff Golblum who looked smart in a black suit with monochrome brogues.

The 62-year-old star could barely stop smiling as he graced the red carpet with his expectant wife Emilie Livingston, 32.

Olympic gymnast Livingston who opted for casual chic in a white satin dress with glittering black pumps was pictured holding hands and cuddling up to her husband as the pair posed for photographs.

Mortdecai will be released in cinemas on January 23.

The Saturdays' stunner Rochelle, 25, opted for maximum glamour in the form of show-stopping red gown, complete with dramatic, and equally, plunging neckline.

The long number came complete with train and fishtail design, which made the most of the mother-of-one's enviably slim figure.

The TV star polished off her attire with a chunky silver necklace and neat up 'do, while ex-JLS crooner Marvin, 29, stuck to a black tie and coordinated suit.
