Penn Jillette:Sandy Hook Newtown Connecticut Shooting (healing entertainers)
Penn talks about healing from the tragedy, as well as Tweets used by both sides of the gun control debate of his past statements. I #39;m a huge fan of Penn, and even when I don #39;t agree with him on his Libertarian views, he is so logical and smart that a lot oftimes I am sorta convinced and realize I have no idea about which way to go. (ie: his debate with Bill Nye on politics) I found a clip from a few years ago where he talks about gun control, and while I can see why he has no interest in discussing it. Once again he makes some very strong arguments. It gets back to his concept of "government force" and how it should only be used in situations that he as a private citizen would use force. If people want weapons, as long as they #39;re not criminals and killing people, let freedom prevail. "Im okay with people dying if we have more freedom" youtu.be This is where he sorta loses me. By that logic, it would literally be a situation where if someone wanted to own an arsenal of gatling guns, grenades, rocket launchers, and fighter jets, as long as thier purpose was not to hurt innocent people, then it should be legal? I know he says, "who gives a fuck what Penn thinks?" However, he has a lot of fans who do listen to his opinions, and are interested. (Myself included) This is a complex issue, and it would be nice after some time has passed, if Penn would revisit the debate when its more appropriate.From:BackfirePicturesViews:4 0ratingsTime:07:01More inNews Politics

Joan Kennedy Taylor: Pornography Versus Censorship – Video

Joan Kennedy Taylor: Pornography Versus Censorship
Joan Kennedy Taylor was a journalist, author, and political activist known for her advocacy of individualist feminism and her role in developing the modern American libertarian movement. She passed away in 2005. In this video from a Free Press Association conference in 1986, Taylor debates herself on pornography, obscenity, and censorship. She offers arguments for both sides and covers feminist interpretations of pornography, the protections afforded to free speech thanks to the First Amendment, and the history of the Supreme Court #39;s attempt to pin down the definition of "obscenity." Lonely Landlord Accompaniment
"God Help the Lonely Landlord" is a song from the libertarian musical "The Debt Collector". The music is by Daniel Carter. The piano accompaniment is by Jill Dabney. The words that you can sing to this song are by Aya Katz: God help the lonely landlord Who gives the poor a home They judge me by their standards But I am all alone. It #39;s true that I #39;m an owner But just what do I own? When the rent is due They owe me, but I still pay the loan. You see, there is a mortgage, And taxes are assessed. And the tenants are so horrid. When they leave, Who cleans the mess? But who am I to judge them And the things they choose to do Copyright 2012 Carter, Katz and Dabney All rights reservedFrom:AyaKatzViews:0 0ratingsTime:01:16More inEducation

Sustainability @ Sewanee – Video

Sustainability @ Sewanee
Speech given at the University of the South, Sewanee, Tennessee, Dec. 6, 2012 to the Economics and Sustainability Clubs. "Teach them Correct Principles and they Govern Themselves". People living their lives based on true and correct principles is the basis for sustainability. I was invited to give a talk to the Economics club at the University of the South on our independent local currency initiative, the Sewanee Dollar. But when the sponsor, a student representing the Economics Club read my BLOG, he decided there is much more to the story and invited the Sustainability Clubs to attend. He admitted to being a closet Libertarian, an unpopular position at liberal Sewanee U. Then he said he was having a hard time reconciling "sustainability" with some of the libertarian views I had written about. In his mind, these are polar opposites. To which I responded, "I can #39;t imagine being sustainable without adherence to these true principles. That led to a revised topic, Moral Sustainability or Saving the World from complete annihilation.From:Grant MillerViews:0 0ratingsTime:26:23More inPeople Blogs

Ron Paul, Ralph Nader agree on ‘Progressive-Libertarian Alliance’ – Video

Ron Paul, Ralph Nader agree on #39;Progressive-Libertarian Alliance #39;
Judge Andrew Napolitano brings Ron Paul and Ralph Nader together for "progressive libertarian" alliance. "In this corner, a libertarian, tea party hero who ran several campaigns as a candidate for US president on the Republican ticket. And in that corner, a progressive icon of the left who also ran several campaigns for the US presidency but on the Green Party ticket. One might think the two men, seemingly ideologically opposed to one another, would rather argue than help one another. However, on Wednesday #39;s broadcast of Freedom Watch on the Fox Business channel, Judge Napolitano sat down for an amiable interview with Rep. Ron Paul (R-TX) and Ralph Nader to discuss a progressive-libertarian alliance in the 112th session of respective chambers in Congress. Nader, who has recently called this coalition "the most exciting new political dynamic" in the US today, explained that it works well because both groups stand against corporatists who believe government should be run in the interests of corporations. "I believe in coalitions," Rep. Paul echoed. "They talk about we need more bipartisanship, and I say we have too much bipartisanship because the bipartisanship we have here in Washington endorses corporatism." Paul added that he agreed with Nader on a host of issues, such as cutting the US military #39;s budget, ending undeclared US wars overseas, restoring civil liberties and civil rights by dumping from the Patriot Act, and withdrawing from the NAFTA and World Trade ...From:evelkidnievelViews:29 2ratingsTime:10:20More inEducation

Unfortunately, semi-permanent guest Owen Schumacher could not make the show, and in his stead is trusted American and famed talk show host "The Strength" Harvey Hoffman. On today #39;s show, Pryant and Bat read infuriating headlines from the lamestream media, as well as many late-breaking items from Bat #39;s close Pentagon sources. Additionally, "The Strength" takes on talk radio #39;s phony competition, the cigar-chomping Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity, nothing but a potato-eating mick. At the bottom of the hour, Pryant and Bat talk to author and ex-CIA agent Francis Urbini about his upcoming book, "Infected: America #39;s Dire Diagnosis of the Liberal Pathogen." Other than Bat being a young liberal twit, Pryant and Harvey also talk of Obama #39;s transgendered superhuman army poised to attack the world #39;s cities at the drop of a hat, as well as a plot by Vatican assassins to kidnap libertarian hero Ron Paul, brainwash him and force him to recite Marxist drivel on national TV.
