Road Trip Part one
Alright I'm at the halfway point of my first big summer vacation. Right now Damon Shaun and myself are all in Gardiner Montana about 5 miles north of Yellowstone. We had planned to camp along the way for this trip but we're a bunch of babies and it is COLD here We started out in Memphis for Damon's graduation and headed out Saturday. We stopped in Little Rock everything was blocked of
Florida Fish Library 2
David and I went diving again at Datura at hight tide instead of Low Tide this time to see if the visibility was better today. Since the winds have picked up visibility was still 15 to 20 ft. . We are spoiled comming from Hawaii clear waters. But we didn't care we continued the dive looking at little creatures until we ran out of air. The album shows the fish that we saw today and of course Chris
Beaches West of Leon
Hi everyoneToday was my last full day in Leon and I am nearly over my cold. I still have a little sore throat on the right side only but am otherwise feeling good. And that is a great thing because Rich arrives tomorrow nightI will pack up my things and hang out here at the hotel until the last minute then take the bus to Managua and then a cab to the airport. The father of the family I stay
Projects Getting Ready for Japan
It won't be long now. The students have worked hard and prepared for our adventure by studying the culture art government and other facts about Japan. Here are a few pictures of some of the presentations.
Into Yukon Territory
Back on the Cassiar the road started getting rough just north of Dease Lake. There were little red Slow signs about 12 tall warning of the roughest spots. Those were the places with loose gravel or potholes 5' across. So when we saw the signs we slowed down. Driving around the worst of the them we looked like drunks on a crooked trail. About 10 miles before we got to the Alaska Highway
Bonaire "Bon Bini"
May 22nd thru May 29th. When Plan A of vacation fails there's always Plan B. I was to go to Belize with GAP Adventures in May but not enough people signed up. I rescheduled for June. That trip also fell through due to lack of interest. I called Crazy Scuba in Richardson TX and they recommended Bonaire. It's a diver's paradise and well known for shore diving. I checked the airlines and found an
Full Update
Ok now i have a bit of time on a computer at our motel. So from our last update we made our way to Richford Vermont...it was kind of a wierd little town. Slept in the park which at first i wasn't too keen on but it worked for a free place to throw up the tent. It rained really hard for about an hour. And then cleared up. The next day we got up and should have gotten an early start but were feelin
Tuesday June 1
We stayed at a truck stop in Shelby MT last night and thankfully our gas heat works in our trailer so we were nice and warm. We drove only 35 miles to the Canadian border. It is barren out here too. We were told at the Canadian customs that Dan has automatic dual citizenship in the US and Canada and that the boys could get theirrsquos also if they applied. We drove another 2 hours to Watert
Monday May 31
Another clear morning and 40 degrees outside. We are saying goodbye to Wyoming as we head to Glacier NP and Waterton NP which is in Montana and Canada. To get to Montana we had to go back up through Yellowstone as it has the only main road out to where we are going. On the way back through we stopped by Old Faithful for a rest break and arrived just in time to see it erupt again Further down
Sunday May30
Woke up to clear blue skies this morning and in the 40rsquos. We washed our laundry at the park Laundry mat which was very nice. Then we left to explore the Grand Tetons. Dan and I both think this park is prettier than Yellowstone. The snow capped mountains rise up out of the flat lands and are so majestic. There are several lakes at the bottom of the mountains. There isnrsquot any snow
Sabbath May 29
Dan was able to get the hot water heater working so we were able to take showers in the trailer this morning. It is COLD outside Glad we brought our coats We started the morning eating pancakes then off to explore Yellowstone. It is cloudy but not raining. Infact there were just a few snow flurries at our campsite this morning. Little did we know that just 30 miles down the road it would
Goa Gajah The Elephant Cave
I decided it was time to get out of Ubud and see a bit more of the country. I signed up for the archeological tour with Perama a big tour and transport company in this part of Indonesia with a strong presence on the web.Unfortunately Perama needs a minimum number of people to run a tour. With their main offices in Kuta the magnet for surfmad Australians it is no wonder that the archeology to
First day of work
Today was my first day of work. It was good but long. The office where I am working in the graduate student office of the bioelectromagnetics lab is very much like an American student office. It is very nice with cubicals but with lowglass walls so you can see everyone. I got a lab coat XL of course lol and a computer but I will probably use my own computer since that one's settings are a

Goodbye to Island Life Thankfully
We finally left Moyo Island I really thought that they day would never arrive Time for a change of scene and culture. I am ready for some good old western cuisine and to be in a place where they speak English say like Australia. We had one stop before we got there namely Singapore. I love Singapore. It is such a clean and friendly place. I also like it as it reminds me of my family. If

Af LiseDa jeg vgner I min dejlige Queen size seng er det nsten ikke til at forst at Miami venter lige udenfor. Kiwi Fruit EVERYWHERE
I am happy to be employed and Irsquom even more happy about the fact that Irsquom doing something that can be called Kiwiana think Canadiana. However picking kiwi fruit is fairly hard work. You throw a harness over you shoulder with a large wire reinforced bag that rests in front of your stomach and start picking your way through the orchard. The vines are supported by wires strung along p
Back yet again to Disney
My 4th Disney day of the trip During last October when I was onboard the Disney Magic I went to a talk about the different theme parks that I lady from Disney Imagineering gave. She asked everybody in the audience who had been to which parks and had anybody been to all of them nobody put their hands up for that she went onto say that she had a friend that for her 25th birthday had visited ev
