Now give me birrrdquo Her factual data and explicit demand caused me to think about the reasons of travel. We travel to absorb to broaden the mind and expand our human consciousness. Sea Sun and Sand

What do you write about when your days are full of good food sandy beaches thick books and gorgeous sunsets ...the beach sand was a little gritty on my bare feet this morning... the sun screen seems to be working... I am particularly fond of the banana and papaya smoothies... it is so dark in my room that it is a real trial to get up before 10 am... my shirts all need to be washed so I've stopp

"ACDC I’m still in Nuremberg"

10th May lsquo09A little project Gordon Bennett While Bettina sleeps off her druginduced coma I look through her pages of notes that she wants reading into a microphone to be learnt in impeccable English for an imminent exam. The topics are transport and religion. Simple enough yet I'm supposed to make coherent sentences from endless bullet points spanning twenty pages per topic. For exa

8 February 2010 My first day of training

I wake up having slept really well. I am convinced it is to do with the fact that I actually relaxed the previous evening. I get ready and remember that the only food I have in my room is a Boost bar that I picked up from Heathrow for emergencies. I figure that this counts as an emergency as I have to leave for training in 10 minutes. I eat the bar which has melted and been chilled again an

7 February 2010 Bangkok to Phuket

I am in reception by 5.50 for my airport bus. The bus is cramped and as I enter I notice that it does not smell very pleasant. However at 3 this form of transport is a lot cheaper than a taxi and where I am seated it smells fine. I get to the airport with plenty of time to spare. I manage to check in straight away and find the whole experience much easier than checking in at Heathrow Irs

The Yucatan Peninsula and A week in Belize

There is nearly a month of history to relate so I intend to paint with broad brush strokes. We left off in Palenque Chiapas. I found a trailer park with palapas for sleeping in hammocks and set up there.
