Roger Ver Is Criticized for Cripple Coin Comment by BCH Supporters

December 1, 2017 by Trevor Hill

Entrepreneur Roger Ver has caught some heat from his own base for perceived hypocrisy, after he pejoratively referred to Bitcoin as Cripple Coin in a post on the r/BTC subreddit. It lies in the fact that Ver himself has slammed a name-calling trend within the Bitcoin community: referring to Bitcoin Cash as Bcash, a label that BCH advocates consider an attempt to insult the currency.

This post comes only days after Ver lost his cool during a debate with YouTuber Bitcoin Error Log John Carvalho after the latter repeatedly mentioned Bcash when referring to Bitcoin Cash an incident that subsequently caused Ver to issue an apology.

Additionally, during the debate, Ver criticized Bitcoin and its development team more than once for taking it down a path that he considers to be detrimental to Satoshi Nakamotos original vision for Bitcoin as peer-to-peer electronic cash.

Speaking to Bitsonline, Ver said theres a difference between using made-up names to mock, and to deliberately mislead:

No-one is ever going to mistakenly confuse Cripple Coin to be Bitcoins real name. Many many people now confuse Bitcoin Cashs real name to be Bcash thanks to a concerted effort of Core supporters to cause that confusion. I think that is a very important difference. And Bitcoin has been crippled intentionally by Core.

By crippled, Ver means Bitcoin Core developers and supporters are shifting Bitcoin (original chain) away from its original Peer-to-Peer Electronic Cash vision.

This claim seems hard to believe right now as the bitcoin price is currently riding high, recently hitting the $10k USD price milestone and even surpassing $11K on the same day.

In addition, CME and Nasdaq recently announced planned bitcoin futures products, thus making his claims sound irrational, or those of an ideologue removed from the current reality.

However, lurking behind all of this success are hidden problems for Bitcoin that could end up hurting it. Could there be some grain of truth to Roger Vers gloom and doom?

Well, one important measure of performance is the amount of transactions piling up in Bitcoins mempool, something that has significantly increased with Bitcoins recent price surge: approximately 90,000 and counting.

Another useful metric for gauging Bitcoins success is its average fee per transaction, something that has also increased with increasing demand and congestion. Indeed, CoinCap.io currently has Bitcoins AFPT at over $8.00 far and away the steepest rate of all the top 10 cryptocurrencies.

Thus, it seems some useful commentary can be found in Vers otherwise hyperbolic statements: things arent all sunshine and rainbows in the Bitcoin universe. Serious problems exist and they need to be addressed.

For instance, transaction buildup in the mempool measures network congestion with more congestion meaning an increasing inability to even use Bitcoin in any capacity. If you cant buy or sell BTC, then theres no use for it because people cant obtain it and users cant cash out of it.

However, while there may be some legitimacy to Vers ideas, many still believe hes still hurting his own cause by the way he has handled himself. In fact, a top response in Vers Reddit post mentioned how another prominent Bitcoin Cash advocate has handled himself in comparison.

Bitcoin Cash is not Bitcoin. Bitcoin is not Bitcoin Core. Jihan is actually the most levelheaded about this. Dont follow Roger into the pit of hellfire delusion, it said.

It does seem like Jihan Wu, CEO of Bitmain and prominent Bitcoin Cash advocate, has attempted to take a different approach, that contrasted with Ver, is less hostile and more collegial.

The pinned tweet on Wus Twitter account almost reads as a condemnation of the debates antagonistic direction:

What do you think of Roger Vers behavior and his derisive comment about Bitcoin? Let us hear your thoughts.

The Bahamas, archipelago and country on the northwestern edge of the West Indies. Formerly a British colony, The Bahamas became an independent country within the Commonwealth in 1973.

The name Bahamas is of Lucayan Taino (Arawakan) derivation, although some historians believe it is from the Spanish bajamar, meaning shallow water. The islands occupy a position commanding the gateway to the Gulf of Mexico, the Caribbean Sea, and the entire Central American region. Their strategic location has given the history of The Bahamas a unique and often striking character. It was there that Christopher Columbus made his original landfall in the Americas. The subsequent fate of the peaceful original inhabitants remains one of the more tragic episodes in the development of the entire region, while the early attempts at European-dominated settlement were marked by intense national rivalries, interspersed with long periods of lawlessness and piracy. As a result, the society and culture that has evolved in The Bahamas is a distinctive blend of European and African heritages, the latter a legacy of the slave trade and the introduction of the plantation system using African slaves. The islands, lacking natural resources other than their agreeable climate and picturesque beaches, have become heavily dependent on the income generated by the extensive tourist facilities and the financial sector that have been developed, often as a result of the injection of foreign capital. The continued popularity of the islands with tourists, largely from North America, has helped to maintain a relatively high standard of living among the population, most of whom are of African descent. The capital, Nassau, is located on small but important New Providence Island.

Lying to the north of Cuba and Hispaniola, the archipelago comprises nearly 700 islands and cays, only about 30 of which are inhabited, and more than 2,000 low, barren rock formations. It stretches more than 500 miles (800 km) southeast-northwest between Grand Bahama Island, which has an area of 530 square miles (1,373 square km) and lies about 60 miles (100 km) off the southeastern coast of the U.S. state of Florida, and Great Inagua Island, some 50 miles (80 km) from the eastern tip of Cuba. The islands other than New Providence are known collectively as the Out (Family) Islands. They include Grand Bahama, which contains the major settlements of Freeport and West End; Andros (2,300 square miles [6,000 square km]), the largest island of The Bahamas; Abaco, or Great Abaco, (372 square miles [963 square km]); and Eleuthera (187 square miles [484 square km]), the site of one of the early attempts at colonization.

The Bahamas occupies an irregular submarine tableland that rises out of the depths of the Atlantic Ocean and is separated from nearby lands to the south and west by deepwater channels. Extensive areas of flatland, generally a few feet in elevation, are the dominant topographic features of the major islands; the Bimini group (9 square miles [23 square km]), for example, has a maximum elevation of only 20 feet (6 metres). A number of islands fronting the Atlantic have a range or series of ranges of hills on the northeastern side that parallel the longer axes of the islands. These ranges are formed of sand washed ashore and blown inland by the trade winds. The newer hills adjacent to the seashore are normally sand dunes. Solidity increases toward the interior, where the particles become cemented to form Bahama limestone. Eleuthera and Long Island (230 square miles [596 square km]) have the greatest number of hills exceeding 100 feet (30 metres). The highest point in The Bahamas, Mount Alvernia, at 206 feet (63 metres), is on Cat Island (150 square miles [388 square km]). Beneath the soil, the islands are composed of limestone rock and skeletal remains of coral fossils and other marine organisms. There are no rivers, but several islandsparticularly New Providence, San Salvador (63 square miles [163 square km]), and Great Inaguahave large lakes. There is abundant fresh water on Andros Island.

Find your island paradise in The Bahamas

Made up of over 700 islands, as well as many coral reefs and rocky cays, The Bahamas sit among the sparkling Atlantic Ocean, with year-round sunny weather. Book Bahamas vacation rentals and you can enjoy long days on the white, sandy beaches, taking dips in the turquoise sea or sitting under a palm tree. However, it's worth hiring a boat or taking a tour for some island hopping, visiting uninhabited islands and scuba diving to spot exotic fish. Discover small towns with colorful markets, and visit Nassau to learn about Bahamian culture, with museums and traditional restaurants.

The best way to explore The Bahamas is underwater, where there's a colorful world, full of coral reefs and exotic fish. Mermaid Reef in Abaco has an abundance of sea life, with schools of fish and moray eels swimming through the warm, clear seas. Your instructor might even take you through some underwater caves where you can get up close to reef sharks, who often swim close to divers. Explore the spooky Sugar Wreck off Grand Bahama Island. This shipwreck is home to many exotic fish and is just 20 feet below the surface making it suitable for beginners.

If the ocean just isn't thrilling enough, cool off at Aquaventure Water Park. Glide through a clear waterslide that takes you through a shark lagoon, or simply enjoy the mile-long rapids from the comfort of your inflatable tube. If you're staying in Bahamas vacation rentals nearby, book a multiple day pass and enjoy the 11 pools. Add in a visit to Dolphin Cay, next to the waterpark. Enjoy a dolphin experience, swimming and frolicking with these friendly creatures, swim with stingrays in their tank, and learn to snorkel at the fun Atlantis ruins, where kids can look for treasure.

The Bahamas have warm weather almost year-round, reaching up to the mid-80s. However, the most popular time to book Bahamas vacation rentals is mid-December to mid-April, when it becomes an excellent winter escape and humidity is low. Outside of these months, the island is usually a lot quieter, and the rainy season between May and October usually only means short showers. Officially, hurricane season is between June and November, but The Bahamas aren't usually as badly affected as the rest of the Caribbean, so keep an eye on the news.

The Bahamas is made up of a number of coral reefs, cays and rock formations, making it a fascinating place to explore by boat. Not many visitors stay on one island, so hire a boat or book a tour to explore the clear blue seas. It's the only way to get to Pig Beach, the perfect selfie spot where wild pigs swim in the shallow waters and greet visitors, or Conception Island which is home to rare birds and sea turtles. If you're staying close to Bimini, be sure to visit the unique mangroves, watching lobsters, sharks and rare fish swim underneath your kayak.

Top 3 Litecoin Price Predictions for 2018 ~ InvestingPR.com

(Updated October, 2018) Nicknamed the silver to Bitcoins gold, Litecoin emerged onto the scene in 2011 to help remedy some of the flaws inherent in Bitcoin. To this end, Litecoin was designed to offer a more abundant supply of coins, a maximum cap of 84 million to be exact, as opposed to Bitcoins 21 million cap. Additionally, the amount of time required to carry out a transaction with Litecoin is a fourth of the time required for the same transaction using Bitcoin. This significant reduction in transaction time, coupled with the fourfold increase in coin supply, is expected to facilitate financial transactions while lowering the price of a single Litecoin compared to a single Bitcoin. With that said, lets take a look at 3 top Litecoin price predictions for 2018. Read on to see how the price of Litecoin is expected to change during this year.

As things stand, Litecoin has the 7th highest market capitalization, approximately 3 billion dollars, in the cryptocurrency world, trailing after Bitcoin, about $112.3 billion dollars as of this writing, Ethereum around $21 billion, Ripple around $18 billion dollars, Bitcoin Cash around $7.5 billion, EOS around $5 billion, and Stellar around 4.5 billion. Nevertheless, performance-wise, Litecoin has outperformed both Bitcoin and Ethereum over the past year, with appreciation values reaching 2000%. Hence, attempting to make Litecoin price predictions for 2018 may be well worth our effort, regardless of the fact that all cryptocurrencies are very volatile at the moment, given their nascent state.

Speaking about volatility, you can read our article on Ripple price predictions for 2018to understand how this works.

Be it the abundant supply or the speedy transactions, the number of people using Litecoin should increase in a somewhat exponential fashion. On the one hand, Litecoin, along with other cryptocurrencies, is tethered to Bitcoin, in the sense that the increase in usage of Bitcoin spells a higher rate of adoption for the rest of the cryptocurrencies. Evidence for this phenomenon can be witnessed by comparing the price charts of both currencies, at which point the correlation becomes unmistakable.

On the other hand, with both SegWit (Segregated Witness) and a Lightning network activated, Litecoin has the potential to scale far beyond anything Bitcoin is capable of at the moment. If youre unfamiliar with what either a SegWit or Lightning network is, all you need to know is that they are technologies that enable cryptocurrency transactions to speed up while maintaining low transaction costs; hence, not only does Litecoin exchange hands faster than Bitcoin, but it also does this for a fraction of the cost, regardless of the number of transactions happening. All of these factors should influence any Litecoin price predictions for 2018.

When I first wrote this article almost one year ago the price of Litecoin was hovering around the 80 dollar mark, give or take. Litecoin price was at $313 at the end of November 2017, $230 at the start of January 2018, $65 in August and is now at $52.34. Should the rate of adoption go up, this should increase Litecoins price. Along with the rate of adoption and the general price movement of cryptocurrencies, a commensurate increase in the number of developers working on it is expected, which should fuel the price hike.Personally, I dont really understand how the price of Litecoin is that low. Its better than Bitcoin, its faster, it brings real value and the number of circulating supply is low (58,239,528 at the moment of writing).

As a matter of fact, when Litecoins first came into existence, their creator, Charlie Lee, envisioned them as a currency used for transactions, whereas Bitcoin would become used as a tool to store value. Ergo, this is why Litecoin was dubbed as silver for the cryptocurrency world, whereas Bitcoin was designated as gold.

In addition to all of this, cryptocurrency investors attempt to hedge their exposure by diversifying their portfolio of digital coins. As a result, approximately 18% of people buying Litecoin use Bitcoin, strengthening the demand for Litecoin and cementing it as a major player in the cryptocurrency space.

For all of these reasons, it should come as no surprise that the price of a single Litecoin is expected to hit the 1000 dollar mark, if not surpass it. The problem is the fact that other coins doing the same thing are growing, and take the market share as it happened with Ripple and Cardano in the last couple of weeks.

As already said, I am a bit confused, to be honest, and I dont understand exactly why Litecoin value is so low. Because if I look at the number of coins versus market capitalization its easy to say that at 100 billion capitalizations the price could jump to $2,500, does it make sense?

Another factor with plenty of sway on the price of Litecoin, and all other cryptocurrencies for that matter, is governmental regulations, especially those of major players in the cryptocurrency space, like China, Japan, and the United States. The best case in point is how all of the cryptocurrencies plummeted after China decided to ban bitcoin and its brethren last September, causing all cryptocurrency exchanges to close up shop.

The natural question to ask at this point is to wonder to what extent any governmental institution can regulate the flow of Litecoin; after all, the whole point of cryptocurrencies is that they are decentralized. Yet, being decentralized doesnt mean that Litecoin is above regulation. For instance, should the American government decide to prohibit any company from receiving payments in Litecoin, this could damage the digital currencys value. Also, the government can close all cryptocurrency exchanges, which is what China did, or ban the importation and manufacturing of ASICs (Application Specific Integrated Circuits) along with other hardware necessary for mining coins. The bottom line is that the Worlds governments arent as helpless as some will have you believe.

Although the powers might have a few tricks up their sleeve, does this mean that regulation is inevitable? In a sense, the answer is yes. To start with, the astounding growth enjoyed by several cryptocurrencies, most notably bitcoin, over the past couple of years has given rise to several imitators and scammers, including companies that issue misleading ICOs (Initial coin offerings, which is a whole other story). Moreover, despite a total cap of 252 billion dollars seeming insignificant when compared to the enormous size of the 1.2 quadrillion futures market, the cryptocurrency market is still significant enough to come up on the SECs and IRSs radars.

As a matter of fact, during the writing of this article, it was announced that the IRS demanded of coinbase, the famous cryptocurrency exchange website, to give away the names of all the investors who have made trades that exceed 20,000 dollars in cryptocurrency over the past year. Consequently, it stands to reason that the bigger the market capitalization of cryptocurrencies becomes, the greater the impetus is to regulate them, rendering any Litecoin price predictions for 2018 suspect at best.

So, where is Litecoin going in 2018? The truth is that nobody really knows. The best we can do is to make an educated guess based on both the past performance and the fundamentals. Therefore, whether it is the underlying technology or the price hike this year, we have reason to believe that Litecoin is expecting sunny days ahead of it. The flipside of that coin (pun intended) is that seeing as the technology is still very immature, there is no way of knowing how it will react when Uncle Sam lays down the law. It is safe to say that it can triple or even quadruple by the end of December 2019, finishing close to $200.

To sum up, coming up with Litecoin price predictions for 2018 is a delicate topic that requires serious scrutiny from different angles, and no analysis can ever be exhaustive. Because of this, we would like to know if there is anything youd like to add? Was there something we missed? Or do you agree with our analysis? Whatever you think, let us know in the comments below, and please dont hesitate to shoot us a question if you have any.

About Litecoin

Litecoin is a peer-to-peer cryptocurrency created by Charlie Lee. It was created based on the Bitcoin protocol but differs in terms of the hashing algorithm used. Litecoin uses the memory intensive Scrypt proof of work mining algorithm. Scrypt allows consumer-grade hardware such as GPU to mine those coins.

Why Litecoin?Litecoin is a cryptocurrency that has evolved from Bitcoin after its own popularity in the industry, this alternative, or altcoin has emerged to allow investors to diversify their digital currency package, according to Investopedia. Litecoin is one of the most prominent altcoins and was created by former Google employee and Director of Engineering at Coinbase, Charlie Lee. Litecoin was the first to alter Bitcoin and the most significant difference is that it takes 2.5 minutes for Litecoin to generate a block, or transaction, in comparison to Bitcoin's 10 minutes.

While this matters little to traders, miners who use hardware to run Bitcoin's network cannot switch over to Litecoin. This keeps bigger mining conglomerates away from Litecoin because they cannot easily optimize their profits by swapping to another coin, contributing to a more decentralized experience. Litecoin also has bigger blocks, and more coins in circulation, making it more affordable and swift when transacting, Investopedia explained.

As explained above, Litecoin can transact a lot faster than Bitcoin, but there are also a number of other characteristics that investors need to know before trading. Litecoin can handle higher volumes of transactions because of the capability of transacting faster and if Bitcoin attempted to transact on the scale of its altcoin, a code update would be needed. However, Litecoins blocks would be larger, but with more orphaned blocks'. The faster block time of litecoin reduces the risk of double spending attacks - this is theoretical in the case of both networks having the same hashing power.

Litecoin Technical Details:The transaction confirmation time taken for Litecoin is about 2.5 minutes on average (as compared to Bitcoin's 10 minutes). The Litecoin network is scheduled to cap at 84 million currency units.

Litecoin has inspired many other popular alternative currencies (eg. Dogecoin) because of its Scrypt hashing algorithm in order to prevent ASIC miners from mining those coins. However it is said that by the end of this year, Scrypt ASIC will enter the mass market.

Litecoin Rating Report

2018-08-16

Litecoin creator Charlie Lee created Litecoin via mimicking Bitcoin's core code, and managed to survive in the sea of clone coins, gradually developing strongly. In terms of the technical layer, Litecoin made improvements concentrated in the consensus mechanism layer, and through a new hashing mechanism, lowered the barrier to entry for miners, and raised the difficult of concentrating hashing power, as well as providing a certain degree of resistance to ASIC mining. However, power still became concentrated and decentralisation wasn't achieved. This was an inevitable result of the increase in popularity of the token, and a result of the relationship between cost and benefit for miners. As a token very similar to bitcoin, to a certain extent, Litecoin can work a test ground for Bitcoin, and in a situation where it can lower the cost of experimentation, Bitcoin may need to attain a plan for improvement. When compared with other coins that have failed, there are many reasons why it has been able to gain attention. Aside from analysis of the text, "Litecoin is silver to Bitcoin's gold", it as a supplement to Bitcoin, and is use in areas that Bitcoin can't touch is one of its major aspects through which it can be promoted. As a payment token, Litecoin faces the same problem other tokens do: high volatility. Currently, the degree of support by merchants on the market of Litecoin is not enough to be able to make it widely accepted as a medium of payment. Litecoin in the top echelon of payment-type tokens. Additionally, in the regulatory realm, due to different regulations throughout the world, as well as a lack of a complete regulatory framework, the possibility of influence by external factors is relatively large. For thesereasons, TokenInsight gives Litecoin a rating of BBB. The outlook is stable.

genetic engineering | Definition, Process, & Uses …

Genetic engineering, the artificial manipulation, modification, and recombination of DNA or other nucleic acid molecules in order to modify an organism or population of organisms.

Read More on This Topic

origins of agriculture: Genetic engineering

The application of genetics to agriculture since World War II has resulted in substantial increases in the production of many crops. This has been most notable in hybrid strains of maize and grain sorghum. At the same time, crossbreeding has resulted in much

The term genetic engineering initially referred to various techniques used for the modification or manipulation of organisms through the processes of heredity and reproduction. As such, the term embraced both artificial selection and all the interventions of biomedical techniques, among them artificial insemination, in vitro fertilization (e.g., test-tube babies), cloning, and gene manipulation. In the latter part of the 20th century, however, the term came to refer more specifically to methods of recombinant DNA technology (or gene cloning), in which DNA molecules from two or more sources are combined either within cells or in vitro and are then inserted into host organisms in which they are able to propagate.

The possibility for recombinant DNA technology emerged with the discovery of restriction enzymes in 1968 by Swiss microbiologist Werner Arber. The following year American microbiologist Hamilton O. Smith purified so-called type II restriction enzymes, which were found to be essential to genetic engineering for their ability to cleave a specific site within the DNA (as opposed to type I restriction enzymes, which cleave DNA at random sites). Drawing on Smiths work, American molecular biologist Daniel Nathans helped advance the technique of DNA recombination in 197071 and demonstrated that type II enzymes could be useful in genetic studies. Genetic engineering based on recombination was pioneered in 1973 by American biochemists Stanley N. Cohen and Herbert W. Boyer, who were among the first to cut DNA into fragments, rejoin different fragments, and insert the new genes into E. coli bacteria, which then reproduced.

Most recombinant DNA technology involves the insertion of foreign genes into the plasmids of common laboratory strains of bacteria. Plasmids are small rings of DNA; they are not part of the bacteriums chromosome (the main repository of the organisms genetic information). Nonetheless, they are capable of directing protein synthesis, and, like chromosomal DNA, they are reproduced and passed on to the bacteriums progeny. Thus, by incorporating foreign DNA (for example, a mammalian gene) into a bacterium, researchers can obtain an almost limitless number of copies of the inserted gene. Furthermore, if the inserted gene is operative (i.e., if it directs protein synthesis), the modified bacterium will produce the protein specified by the foreign DNA.

A subsequent generation of genetic engineering techniques that emerged in the early 21st century centred on gene editing. Gene editing, based on a technology known as CRISPR-Cas9, allows researchers to customize a living organisms genetic sequence by making very specific changes to its DNA. Gene editing has a wide array of applications, being used for the genetic modification of crop plants and livestock and of laboratory model organisms (e.g., mice). The correction of genetic errors associated with disease in animals suggests that gene editing has potential applications in gene therapy for humans.

Genetic engineering has advanced the understanding of many theoretical and practical aspects of gene function and organization. Through recombinant DNA techniques, bacteria have been created that are capable of synthesizing human insulin, human growth hormone, alpha interferon, a hepatitis B vaccine, and other medically useful substances. Plants may be genetically adjusted to enable them to fix nitrogen, and genetic diseases can possibly be corrected by replacing dysfunctional genes with normally functioning genes. Nevertheless, special concern has been focused on such achievements for fear that they might result in the introduction of unfavourable and possibly dangerous traits into microorganisms that were previously free of theme.g., resistance to antibiotics, production of toxins, or a tendency to cause disease. Likewise, the application of gene editing in humans has raised ethical concerns, particularly regarding its potential use to alter traits such as intelligence and beauty.

In 1980 the new microorganisms created by recombinant DNA research were deemed patentable, and in 1986 the U.S. Department of Agriculture approved the sale of the first living genetically altered organisma virus, used as a pseudorabies vaccine, from which a single gene had been cut. Since then several hundred patents have been awarded for genetically altered bacteria and plants. Patents on genetically engineered and genetically modified organisms, particularly crops and other foods, however, were a contentious issue, and they remained so into the first part of the 21st century.

John McAfee: "The Bull Market IS coming" – Ethereum World News

John McAfee is a highly controversial person not only because of his peculiar way of life but also because of his opinions and his direct way of speaking. The founder of McAfee Inc. and CEO of MGT Capital Investments Inc. has had a very active life in recent months: He said he will run for president, confronted the SEC, called for a boycott of central banks and exchanges, and just survived an assassination attempt.

However, one of the things Mr. McAfee is well known for in the world of cryptos is because of his famous predictions and his bullish stance towards Bitcoin (BTC) when analyzing its long-term performance.

McAfee is one of the most important Bullish influencers, even in bearish times such as those that have been experienced throughout the year, and he has never backed down from his predictions, remaining not only enthusiastic but also assertive to his followers about the future vision of Bitcoins (BTC) price.

On July 17, Mr. McAfee again caused a Twitter buzz when he wrote a euphoric tweet that soon surpassed several thousand likes.

Despite the high volatility of Bitcoin (BTC), McAfees optimism seems to be entirely valid. In more technical terms, other analysts like Tom Lee have mentioned that Bitcoin could be in front of a Bull Run.

John McAfee is known for making one of the most bullish predictions about the price of Bitcoin. The McAfee Line shows that despite the current behavior of Bitcoin prices, to reach 1 Million USD in 2020, Bitcoin should currently be quoted at over 13k.

McAfee has advised its followers not to sell their cryptos. Other notable personalities of the crypto-verse have widely shared this hodler feeling. Recently, Charlie Lee, creator of Litecoin, recommended not selling the Bitcoins and in fact considers it crucial to have this cryptocurrency over any other altcoin.

John McAfee has always been very confident in his predictions, and being a known influencer allows him to contribute to these excellent results actively.

Previously, John McAfee used to tweet about the use of some altcoins. These immediately increased their value in the markets. A few days ago, John McAfee commented that he was going to stop this practice due to legal threats.

Bitcoin has been growing steadily over the last few days. The Heikin Ashi sails show a possible bullish trend, and although some analysts mention that Bitcoin has already reached the minimum levels of 2018, it is still too early to make predictions with a higher degree of certainty.

John McAfee is an information security pioneer who founded the global computer security software company McAfee. A highly influential figure in the field of computer security, he is a world renowned expert on internet surveillance, global hacking scandals and threats, and personal privacy online. Born to an English woman and an American soldier in the 1940s, McAfee endured a difficult childhood. His father was an abusive alcoholic who committed suicide when John was 15 years old. In spite of his troubled childhood he proved to be a good student. However, he too became addicted to alcohol and drugs, and was prone to wild, eccentric behavior. He was working on his PhD when he got thrown out of the college for having a sexual relationship with a student he mentored. He later found a job as a programmer at NASA's Institute for Space Studies in New York City. A brilliant man, he easily found jobs at reputed organizations despite his bizarre behavior and addictions. After a series of jobs he put his entrepreneurial skills to good use and founded McAfee Associates, a computer anti-virus company which he later sold. His other business ventures include Tribal Voice and QuorumEx. In September 2015, he announced that he will run for the 2016 U.S. presidential election as a member of the newly-formed Cyber Party.

Second Amendment to the United States Constitution – Wikiquote

Related Articles & Sections within the first State Constitutions Adopted after May 10, 1776.

On May 10, 1776, Congress passed a resolution recommending that any colony with a government that was not inclined toward independence should form one that was.[1]

Virginias Constitution lists the reasons for dissolving its ties with the King in the formation of its own independent state government. Including the following:

Article 13. That the people have a right to bear arms for the defence of themselves and the state; and as standing armies in the time of peace are dangerous to liberty, they ought not to be kept up; And that the military should be kept under strict subordination to, and governed by, the civil power.[3]

IMPORTANT NOTE: This is the first instance of the phrase "right to bear arms." It is of relevance that Pennsylvania was a Quaker Colony. "In settling Pennsylvania, William Penn had a great experiment in view, a holy experiment, as he term[ed] it. This was no less than to test, on a scale of considerable magnitude, the practicability of founding and governing a State on the sure principles of the Christian religion; where the executive should be sustained without arms; where justice should be administered without oaths; and where real religion might flourish without the incubus of a hierarchical system."[4] The Non-Quaker residents, many from the Western Counties, complained often and loudly of being denied the right to a common defense. By the time of the American Revolution, through what could be described as a revolution within a revolution, the pro-militia factions had gained ascendancy in the state's government. And by a manipulation through the use of oaths, disqualifying Quaker members, they made up a vast majority of the convention forming the new state constitution; it was only natural that they would assert their efforts to form a compulsory State Militia in the context of a "right" to defend themselves and the state.[5]

Articles XXV-XXVII. 25. That a well-regulated militia is the proper and natural defence of a free government. 26. That standing armies are dangerous to liberty, and ought not to be raised or kept up, without consent of the Legislature. 27. That in all cases, and at all times, the military ought to be under strict subordination to and control of the civil power.[6]

A Declaration of Rights. Article XVII. That the people have a right to bear arms, for the defence of the State; and, as standing armies, in time of peace, are dangerous to liberty, they ought not to be kept up; and that the military should be kept under strict subordination to, and governed by, the civil power.[7]

Article XL. And whereas it is of the utmost importance to the safety of every State that it should always be in a condition of defence; and it is the duty of every man who enjoys the protection of society to be prepared and willing to defend it; this convention therefore, in the name and by the authority of the good people of this State, doth ordain, determine, and declare that the militia of this State, at all times hereafter, as well in peace as in war, shall be armed and disciplined, and in readiness for service. That all such of the inhabitants of this State being of the people called Quakers as, from scruples of conscience, may be averse to the bearing of arms, be therefrom excused by the legislature; and do pay to the State such sums of money, in lieu of their personal service, as the same; may, in the judgment of the legislature, be worth. And that a proper magazine of warlike stores, proportionate to the number of inhabitants, be, forever hereafter, at the expense of this State, and by acts of the legislature, established, maintained, and continued in every county in this State.[8]

Chapter 1. Section XVIII. That the people have a right to bear arms for the defence of the themselves and the State; and as standing armies, in the time of peace, are dangerous to liberty, they ought not to be kept up; and that the military should be kept under strict subordination to, and governed by, the civil power.[9]

A Declaration of Rights. Chapter 1. Article XVII. The people have a right to keep and to bear arms for the common defence. And as, in time of peace, armies are dangerous to liberty, they ought not to be maintained without the consent of the legislature; and the military power shall always be held in an exact subordination to the civil authority and be governed by it.[10]

CNET Says Tesla CEO Elon Musk Was Disruptor Of The Year

JAN 15 2019BYSTEVEN LOVEDAY

Michigan is not a friendly place for Tesla, Elon Musk, or EVs in general. In fact, its not a friendly place for any new innovators, upcoming automotive companies, or the like. You cant buy a Tesla in Michigan and few EVs are available, let alone public charging stations. In addition, while you may be able to have a used EV shipped right to your home for a low fee in most states via CarMax or CarDirect Michigan might say nope, thats against the law!

Additional Tesla CEO Elon Musk Coverage:

So, when Tesla doesnt show up at the North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) in Detroit, and Elon doesnt make a grand entrance, were far from surprised. Hell go ahead and give oodles of his hard-earned money to Flint, MI to help fix the continuing problems with the water quality on top of sending more money for the children in the area to all get laptops for school but to send a car or set foot in a Detroit-based auto show would be against everything the CEO believes in.

Despite Tesla and Elons lack of attendance at NAIAS yet again this year, CNET announced the CEO asDisruptor of the Year. Musk was officially awarded the honor as part of CNETs Roadshow Shift Awards. He beat out two other disruptive CEOs from McLaren automotive and Bird electric scooters. Executive editor of Roadshow, Chris Paukert shared:

Were not necessarily judging tremendous accomplishments. Were just looking at who stirred the pot the most this year.

The award was not only for Tesla vehicles, but also for Musks Boring company. Roadshow Editor in Chief Tim Stevens said:

He of course couldnt be with us today. Hes somewhere between here and Mars right now.

We set all the adversity and issues aside and say Way to go, Elon!

Disinfect Your Mind: Defend Yourself with Memetics Against …

While authorities in psychology discuss whether memetics is a science, its use by politicians, marketing departments and mass media becomes more and more ubiquitous.

Consider a computer. You can only use a word processor to edit a text. You can only use a merchant's website to order merchandize. But you can use programming languages like C++ or C# to make a computer do virtually anything you want. Similarly, psychology is not enough anymore for politicians, mass media, and large businesses. Preinstalled programs in human minds, such as widely accepted social norms, habits, and prejudices, are not enough for them to exploit anymore. They want to make you do virtually anything they want you to do.

Do you want to defend yourself?

Mind viruses are not biological viruses like influenza, but pieces of information or ideas that, once they get into our minds, are capable of causing us to replicate them to other peoples minds. They are very much like computer viruses, but instead of spreading from one computer to another, they spread from one human mind to another. They are also similar to the usual biological viruses (flu, cold, hepatitis, AIDS) in the sense that they use us to replicate themselves. And just like biological and computer viruses, they usually hurt the host in the process. This host is you.

Mind viruses force your mind to replicate them, because thats the only purpose of their existence. If it hurts you, the virus does not care, as long as you continue to replicate it.

As such, they compete with each other for the place in human minds, like yours. This competition results in a sort of evolution where only those mind viruses survive that are most efficient in grabbing your attention and forcing you to spread them. In doing so, they have no concern for your well-being. They dont have a reason to be relevant to your life and wellness. In fact, one of their main goals is to impair your judgment, because otherwise, why would you spread them?

The very existence of mind viruses is based on their ability to impair your judgment, which you need for your own survival and success.

And once they take over, they are forcing you to spread them. This means that you spend cycles in your life spreading the virus instead of working on improving your own life or just merely enjoying your own life. In fact,

Enjoying your life is something that mind viruses attack first, because the promise of enjoying your life in the future is one of the most efficient ways to force you into replicating them.

As you can guess, the future reward never comes.

Long story short, mind viruses can:

Impair your judgment; Make you act against your own interests; Prevent your success in life; Prevent you from enjoying your life.

Dont believe it? Read on
