Unveiled just last month, the Air Jordan 7 Quai 54 indulges almost entirely in a navy colorway. The cool tone wraps the entire profile, from its suede base its nubuck overlays, and dresses the synthetic tongue, which acts as a background for the hastily drawn stripes. Adjacent, typical Jordan branding is highlighted in red, while the Quai 54 stamp across the help opts for a neutral type like the aforementioned pattern and the logos along the insole

When discussing basketball shoes, the conversation is always centered around the Air Jordan signature line. It's been almost two decades since Michael Jordan retired for the third and final time, but his basketball shoes remain just as popular as ever.

Today, Nike announced the upcoming release of the Air Jordan 37. According to the press release, the newest model is built for multidirectional play, the shoes components are rooted in the NSRLs(Nike Sports Research Lab)study of the three stages of jumping: crash, load, and launch.

Nike described the "crash phase" as the instant deceleration on the jump, or even the landing on a rebound), the shoes heel features a TPU mold encasing responsive Formula 23 foam, which acts as a crash-landing pad for all of that energy striking down into the floor. The newest flagship foam from Jordan Brand, Formula 23 is designed to be lightweight and responsive, and its one of the most sustainable performance foams made by a NIKE, Inc. brand.

Next, the "load phase" is the conduit transferring the motion from the heel through the midfoot. Thats why a carbon fiber midfoot shank returns to the Jordan signature line for the first time since the Air Jordan XXXII. Finally, the "launch phase" is set up by the Zoom Air strobel unit with the additional forefoot unit for a double-stacked pop off the pad off the foot.

The upper is a new technology called Lenoweave that uses a yarn called Arkema, a monofilament variety that is both strong and pliable. The design of the Lenoweave pattern itself, along with the profile of the tooling, is inspired by the AJ VII and the hand-shaped craftsmanship of West African basket weaving according to Nike.

Sticking with the theme, the zones of support in the upper are modeled after the configuration of sandal straps and ankle tape. This pattern not only provides containment in the areas of highest need, similar to a layered Huarache exoskeleton, it also adds to the handmade character of the shoes design.

Today, we only get official images for two colorways. The 'Beyond Borders' colorway of the Air Jordan 37 releases in September. The 'Hare colorway' releases later in fall 2022. 9-year-old boy dies after SUV driver allegedly drifts into bike lane in South Jordan – Salt Lake Tribune

A 9-year-old boy has died after he was struck by an SUV that allegedly drifted into the bike lane, police say.

He and another 9-year-old boy were hit while biking eastbound on 11400 S near 2100 W in South Jordan on Wednesday morning. Based on the initial investigation, the driver drifted over into the bike lane, hit the children and dragged them 150-200 feet before stopping, said South Jordan Police spokesperson Eric Anderson.

Anderson said the driver of the SUV, a 44-year-old woman, is cooperating with police. The names of the children have not been released.

The South Jordan Police Crash Team is still investigating the crash. Six other crashes have occurred this year near the intersection of 2100 W and 11400 S, Anderson said.

Were really just trying to emphasize traffic safety, Anderson said. Its really just being cautious when youre driving out there and its not just for your own safety but its for other people as well, especially kids on bikes.

South Jordan Mayor Dawn Ramsey said in a video statement that she hasnt spoken with the family of the child that passed, but extends her heartfelt condolences.

Theres so much we as a community can do to work hard to ensure safety on our roads, Ramsey said. Were going to continue to work hard to do that and ask you to join us in doing all we can to keep our community safe.

Born in January 2017, Jordan Fritz is the son of Taylor Fritz and his then-wife Raquel Pedraza.

Following the birth of Jordan, Taylor resumed playing tennis a couple of months later.

At the Indian Wells Masters post-game press conference in March 2017, the athlete disclosed details of how he's adjusting to fatherhood.

In the wake of his victory, he told the media: "Nothings really changed at all for me.

Mayor Walsh Appoints Jordan and Wengert to Key Roles in the Department of Neighborhood and Business Development – Our City

Syracuse Mayor Ben Walsh announced that Cimone Jordan has been named Director of Housing and Neighborhood Planning and Elyzabeth Wengert Director of Neighborhood Grant Programming and Compliance.

As director of housing and neighborhood development, Jordan will take on a number of roles in housing development strategy and planning, analysis and management of funding for redevelopment projects, real estate and redevelopment activities for the Syracuse Urban Renewal Agency (SURA) and coordination of the tax foreclosure process.

Jordan plays a critical role in advancing housing and community development investments within Syracuse neighborhoods by managing planning strategy for residential investments, and by coordinating a variety of property disposition, strategic enforcement and community engagement initiatives to promote neighborhood stability. In addition, Jordan will collect and analyze data as it relates to property tax foreclosure cases, make recommendations for foreclosed properties, collaborate with the Land Bank to identify priority redevelopment cases, respond to constituent questions and present legislation to the Common Council.

Namely, Jordan will also oversee the infill planning under the Resurgent Neighborhood Initiative (RNI) and manage implementation of the RNI strategy. In addition, she serves as the program manager for the Community Ambassador program, and will engage citizens and stakeholders in identifying key problem properties, and she participates in task force meetings including the Vacant Property Initiative and Lead Working Group.

In her previous role, Jordan worked as a Planner in the Department of Neighborhood and Business Development. In this role, she worked in conjunction with City of Syracuse Law Department and Code Enforcement to conduct outreach to vacant property servicers and lienholders to encourage compliance with the Abandoned Property Neighborhood Relief Act of 2016. She also served as the Southside Planner through RNI, and regularly engaged with community groups to relay department updates and answer questions.

Jordan received her BA in Environmental Studies from Hamilton College.

Wengert is responsible for securing and managing a diverse portfolio of federal, state and private sector grants to support safe and affordable housing and neighborhood development. As director of neighborhood grant planning and compliance, she will also work with other Department leaders to align grant strategies and programs with the Departments priorities for neighborhood and economic development and inclusive growth.

Wengert previously held several roles in academic administration and higher education with proved success in grant writing, community engagement and strategic planning. She has also led several diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives, developing her skills as a dynamic leader who is well-connected with the community.

In her role as Director, Wengert will manage and secure grant and funding opportunities from not-for-profit organizations and other government partners, support planning and reporting on all grant processes, evaluate program performance, and develop strategies and recommendations for sub-awards to local partner agencies.

Wengert graduated from the State University of New York at Albany with her B.A. in Psychology and African American Studies and her M.A. in Latin American and Caribbean Studies. She is also a member of several professional organizations including the Association for Equality and Excellence in Education, the American Association for Higher Education and the Association for the Study of Higher Education.

Ten Moments of White Supremacist Violence in U.S. History

In the wake of Donald Trumps failure to immediately condemn the Ku Klux Klan and neo-Nazis following the events in Charlottesville, VA by condemning violence on both sides, he repeated a long history of blaming others for acts of terror perpetrated by white supremacists. To put Charlottesville in context, lets review the history of white supremacist violence in the United States.

Although not the only white terrorist organizationthere are an estimated 917 hate groups currently active in the U.S.the Ku Klux Klan holds an iconic place in America. The Klan, formed immediately after the Civil War, began as a means to undermine former slaves freedom through acts of racial terror and intimidation. It declined during the late 19th century, but its ideas lingered on in the Jim Crow system of discrimination. The modern Klan re-emerged in 1915 at Stone Mountain, GA and grew into a national organization in the 1920s. During the Civil Rights Movement, the Klan bombed activists homes and churches and murdered those sympathetic to civil rights. Klan activity waned in the 1970s but the events in Charlottesville remind us that they have not gone away.

1. Fort Pillow Massacre, April 12, 1864

In response to the Union Armys enlistment of black men, Confederate President Jefferson Davis promised to execute captured black troops as slave insurrectionists. White Union troops were to be taken as prisoners of war, but black ones were to be killed or enslaved. At the Battle of Fort Pillow in Tennessee, Confederates under the command of General Nathan Bedford Forrest fulfilled this order when they slaughtered an estimated 300 surrendering black soldiers, some even as they lay wounded in hospital tents. Two dozen others were castrated.

Although far from the only atrocity against black troops during the war, it became a rallying cry for black soldiers to Remember Fort Pillow! After the war, General Forrest spent his remaining years denying that a massacre had occurredhe insisted that there had been no surrenderwhile also founding a soon-to-be well-known white terrorist organization, the Ku Klux Klan.

2. New Orleans Massacre, July 30, 1866

In 1866, at the Louisiana Constitutional Convention, ex-Confederates led by the Mayor of New Orleans opened fire on a parade of 130 black men celebrating the convention before attacking those in the convention hall. By the time they ran out of ammunition, 238 were dead, the majority of whom were black Union veterans or delegates. Federal troops arrived too late to stop the violence and although the mayor lost his office, no one faced charges for the massacre.

The attackers blamed black paraders for inciting the violence, but the mass shooting was a clear attempt to prevent expanding voting rights as the convention met to reverse the legislatures refusal to enfranchise black men. Coming just two months after a massacre in Memphis, TN, the violence backfired as it aided the Republican Party in Congressional elections that fall, which led to federal occupation of the South and measures to allow black voting rights.

3. Colfax Massacre, April 13, 1873

After a contested election in Louisiana, armed, white Democrats and ex-Confederates overpowered black Republicans who were protecting a courthouse from Democratic seizure. Both sides were armed but the black defenders proved no match against the white attackers numbers and armaments. Waving white flags, the black defenders surrendered, but were nevertheless mowed down after laying down their weapons. An estimated 153 black men were killed. Far from a mere dispute over an election, one of the attacks leaders made the aim clear: Boys, this is a struggle for white supremacy.

While being one of the worst instances of racial violence during Reconstruction, its legal ramifications proved far more enduring. The federal government sought to punish the killers, but the resulting Supreme Court case, United States v. Cruikshank (1876), stripped its power to protect black Americans from racial violence as the court ruled that the Fourteenth Amendment did not apply to individuals actions, only state ones.

4. Wilmington Insurrection, November 10, 1898

Before the violence started, black voters were a numerical majority in Wilmington, NC. By the end, they were a minority. In local elections two days before the violent coup dtat, biracial coalitions elected a white Republican mayor and a biracial city council while white Democrats won the rest of the state. Furious at the election results in Wilmington, a white supremacist and former Confederate, Alfred Moore Waddell, led 2,000 insurrectionists against the citys legitimately elected officials, attacked black homes and businesses, and installed himself as mayor.

An editorial in the citys black-owned newspaper suggesting that some white women sought sexual relationships with black mena taboo topicsupposedly justified the attack. The insurrectionists torched the newspaper and killed roughly 60 black Wilmingtonians. Over 2,100 African-Americans left the city during the carnage and did not return. North Carolina subsequently disenfranchised its black population.

5. Red Summer, May 10-October 1, 1919

As America demobilized from World War I, whites frustrated by job and housing shortages rioted in over three dozen cities during the summer of 1919, killing hundreds and injuring thousands of African-Americans. White mobs initiated every attack, but the press blamed Bolshevist agitation while others faulted the attitude of returning black soldiers.

The worst violence occurred in Elaine, AR when black sharecroppers gathered to unionize. White planters tried to disperse the unionizers but were met by armed resistance. After exchanging fire, the sheriff died. Subsequently, hundreds of armed whites converged to attack and kill the black population indiscriminately. When federal troops arrived, they detained hundreds of black people until white employers vouched for them. In the end, 122 blacks and no whites were charged with crimes. Twelve black men were executed for murder (5 whites had been killed) while the murders of over 237 black men, women, and children went unpunished.

6. Tulsa Race Riot, May 31-June 1, 1921

For 14 hours in 1921, mass violence engulfed Tulsa, OK. White rioters killed around 300 black Tulsans, injured hundreds, and leveled the black section of townGreenwood. The riot began after thousands gathered to lynch a black teen suspected of assaulting a white teen. When a small contingent of armed black men tried to prevent the lynching, the white mob began looting and shooting wildly as rumors of a Negro uprising spread. The police and hastily deputized recruits rounded up thousands of black Tulsans into detention centers while white vigilantes set Greenwood ablazeeven using planes to bomb the area.

Afterwards, a grand jury faulted the black men who prevented the lynching for inciting the riot. Those wanting to rebuild the once-prosperous Greenwoodwhich had been nicknamed the Black Wall Streetwere unable as new fire codes made rebuilding all-but impossible. The next year, 1,700 Klansmen marched through Tulsa and won election to most local offices.

7. Ku Klux Klan KonKlave, August 9, 1925

In 1925, 30,000 Klan members marched down Pennsylvania Avenue in Washington, D.C. Klan membership soared in the 1920s after the release of Birth of a Nation (1915) and amid immigration fears. Expanding its hate to Jews and Catholics, the 1920s Klan held a more prominent and national role than its earlier iteration. In marches like this, its brand of nativism, bigotry, intimidation, and extralegal violence were shrouded in patriotism. Women and children attended the march too, giving the event a picnic atmosphere.

Although no one died in the ostensibly peaceful demonstration, the march itself was a show of force with a clear message to the nations non-white, non-Protestant populationas was the 80-foot cross they lit that night. Marching confidently with hoods raised, Klan members acted with impunity. Despite hundreds of acts of violence annually, the Klan was a popular and respectable fraternal organization of white terrorists in the 1920s and beyond who scapegoated Catholics, Jews, and African-Americans.

8. 16th Street Baptist Church Bombing, September 15, 1963

Two weeks after Martin Luther King Jr.s I Have a Dream speech, Klan members bombed an Alabama church with 200 worshipers inside. Killing 4 children and injuring 22 others, the bomb was the fourth in Birmingham in as many weeks in a city nicknamed Bombingham. Fed up, black residents protested that night, but were met only with violence.

The police shot one black teenager in the back while two white youths leaving an anti-integration rally killed another black teen.

Neither the police nor the two white youths faced consequences. The history of framing white supremacist violence as justifiable acts of self-defense set the stage for excusing these killings. No one was charged in the attack until 1977 when one Klansman was convicted for the bombing. Two others were convicted in 2001 and 2002, while the fourth perpetrator died without ever being charged.

9. Greensboro Massacre, November 3, 1979

A 1979 anti-Klan rally in Greensboro, NC turned violent when 40 members of the Klan and American Nazi Party arrived with guns and fired into the crowd after the anti-Klan protestors pelted their vehicles with rocks. Klansmen killed 5 and wounded nearly a dozen others. The organizers of the anti-Klan march had openly called for the Klan to be beaten and chased out of town as this is the only language they understand, but were unprepared for the ensuing violence.

Despite being filmed by a local TV news crew, the 5 Klansmen charged with murder were acquitted by an all-white jury with the claim of self-defense. In 2009, the Greensboro City Council passed a resolution of regret for the murders and acknowledged its culpability in it as a police officer had given the Klan a map of the march route and was one of the 40 Klan members present.

10. Overland Park Jewish Community Center Shooting, April 13, 2014

Klan members and other hate groups have long disparaged Jewish Americans, but the 2014 shooting at a Jewish community center in Kansas by an elderly former Army Green Beret, Klansman, and neo-Nazi shocked the nation. Frazier Glenn Miller killed three people, including a 14-year-old boy, in an attempt to kill as many Jews as he could. Miller failed, however, as his three victims were Christians. Miller had a long history of anti-Semitism, insisting that white people needed protection from Jews. Unlike many other white supremacist killings, Miller received a death sentence for his crimes. Upon conviction, he yelled Sieg Heil and gave the Nazi salute.

Had he been held accountable for earlier white supremacist activities, however, he might not have been able to carry out his shooting spree. A member of the National Socialist Party of America, Miller attended the Greensboro Massacre thirty-five years earlier.

This list is far from inclusive or even a ranking of the largest casualties from white supremacist violence but instead merely a sampling of some of the many instances of violence.

Black leaders call for race commissions in wake of violent white …

About 100 members of Patriot Front snaked through the city on Saturday afternoon. Dressed in khaki pants, navy T-shirts, sunglasses and baseball caps, and wearing white neck gaiters covering most of their faces, they were videotaped in well-known spots along the Freedom Trail.

The demonstration turned violent when members of the group allegedly assaulted Charles Murrell III as they marched. Murrell, who uses any pronouns, was taken by ambulance to Tufts Medical Center for injuries to their right ring finger, head, and left eyebrow, according to a police report.

On the way to the hospital, Murrell told police that while walking on Dartmouth Street, they were shoved around and in the middle of the group of individuals with shields and masks, the report said. The report said Murrell eventually shoved back and then was knocked to the ground and faced hits and kicks from a larger majority of the group.

Murrell took part in the press conference on the library steps Monday. As throngs of people wearing red, white, and blue for the Fourth of July ambled through the square, the sorrowful notes of the African American spiritual Another Man Done Gone rang through the air.

He had a long chain on, had a long chain on, sang Murrell. They killed another man, killed another man. Another man done gone.

Boston police had not made any arrests Monday. Sergeant Detective John Boyle, the departments head spokesperson, said detectives and the civil rights unit continue to investigate the incident. The department has not yet determined whether the white supremacists are from Massachusetts or out of state.

Thats all part of the investigation, Boyle said.

Police spokesperson Andre Watson said the group did not pull any permits for Saturdays march, which he said is not uncommon for protests.

Mawakana Onifade, an adviser for Murrell, said there should be more accountability for elected officials and the police.

To look at this incident as a one-off [event] is an atrocity and a crime, Onifade said. This is the old age that needs to be dismantled.

The Rev. Miniard Culpepper of Pleasant Hill Missionary Church, whos running for the 2nd Suffolk state Senate seat, called for policy changes at the state level. He said state leaders should create a racism, reconciliation, and restoration commission.

We need to look at the data at how often these incidents take place, the size of these organizations, and organizations that are spewing similar hatred, he said. The state can look and begin to collect data.

The Southern Poverty Law Center describes the Patriot Front as a Texas-based white nationalist hate group that split from the fascist organization, Vanguard America, following the deadly Unite the Right rally in Charlottesville, Va., in 2017.

In June, police in Idaho arrested 31 men associated with the Patriot Front who were packed into a U-Haul truck, allegedly en route to cause a violent disruption at a Pride celebration. Authorities charged them with misdemeanor conspiracy to riot.

Between November 2017 and December, the Anti-Defamation League documented more than 600 incidents in Massachusetts involving Patriot Front. The incidents included the distribution of Patriot Front propaganda and acts of vandalism, ADL records show.

In the ADLs latest report about the distribution of white supremacist propaganda, the organization said last year Patriot Front was responsible for more than 82 percent of incidents nationwide. Its propaganda efforts were most active, the ADL said, in Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Texas, and Maryland.

Patriot Front activities in 2021 included destroying Black Live Matters statues and murals, stealing and burning yard signs and flags celebrating diversity and the LGBTQ community, and distributing propaganda at Jewish institutions, the ADL said.

At a Fourth of July speech at Faneuil Hall Monday morning, Mayor Wu condemned the white supremacist group, saying, We wont let any bigots intimidate us in our work to build a city for everyone.

Wu celebrated the citys pivotal role in the nations founding and referenced hopes for Bostons future.

Boston has always been a city of the future, she said, pointing to its status as a leader in the fights for the abolition of slavery and, a century and a half later, for marriage equality.

She added that freedom is an ongoing mission, saying that it is not anything that we have, but a thing that we do.

Boston City Council president Ed Flynn said he was outraged when he learned about the white supremacist march through the district he represents. Flynn wants to see members of the group charged for civil rights violations.

They are intentionally coming to Boston looking to divide the city, looking to exploit the city for their own political cause, and people say that theyre entitled to their free speech, but I would draw the line when that free speech is hate speech and that hate speech turns quickly to violence, he said.

Nicholas Fuentes hosting his weekly livestream "America First with Nicholas Fuentes"

1. Nicholas Fuentes is a white supremacist leader and organizer and podcaster who seeks to forge a white nationalist alternative to the mainstream GOP.

Nicholas Fuentes first gained widespread notoriety in 2017 when he left Boston University after he reported receiving threats tied to his attendance at the white supremacist Unite the Right rally in Charlottesville, Virginia.

He has since become a prominent white supremacist pundit and organizer who has united disparate groups within what was until recently known as the alt right. In 2017, Fuentes began hosting his livestream show America First with Nicholas J. Fuentes, which attracted a cult-like following. Fuentes refers to these supporters as Groypers or the Groyper Army, who see their bigoted views as necessary to preserve white, European-American identity and culture. They believe that the mainstream conservative movement is just as responsible as liberals and the left for destroying white America, and that Groypers are the true future of the conservative movement.

Fuentes seeks to carve out a space that deliberately and publicly challenges the mainstream conservative movement while doubling down on themes central to the white supremacist movement. Fuentes and his America First adherents vocally support the closure of the U.S. borders to immigrants, while opposing liberal values such as feminism and LGBTQ+ rights. Fuentes views these societal changes as the bastardized Jewish subversion of the American creed. The Founders never intended for America to be a refugee camp for nonwhite people. He often uses his platform to further conspiracy theories about the impending destruction of the white race, also known as white genocide. In one Tweet, Fuentes stated, Our civilization is being dismantled, our people are being genocided, and conservatives cant think past what will play well with liberal media in the next election.

His podcast, titled America First, was initially inspired by the speeches and platform of former President Donald Trump. However, Fuentes later adopted the term for his own purposes after distancing himself from the GOP platform to attract young conservatives. Fuentes and his followers angrily objected to the Trump administrations embrace of Israel, as well as mainstream conservatives support for globalism, (a right-wing slur/theory about a cabal of elites who are controlling the world), endless wars and other issues they felt ran counter to a truly America First agenda.

In an effort to further distance himself from the mainstream GOP, Fuentes founded the America First Political Action Conference (AFPAC) in 2020. AFPAC ostensibly serves as a counterweight to the annual CPAC event held at the same time, which is largely attended by mainstream conservative activists and elected officials. In 2021, AFPAC included a variety of right-wing pundits, including Michelle Malkin and Steve King, along with white supremacists like Vincent James Foxx of the Red Elephant. Speakers expressed contempt for the Republican Party, describing members as sell-outs willing to betray their constituents.

2) Nicholas Fuentes believes that he is working to defend against leftist cultural changes that are destroying the true America: a white, Christian nation.

While Fuentes promotes white supremacist beliefs, he adamantly claims not to be a white supremacist, calling the term an anti-white slur. Rather, Fuentes positions himself as Christian conservative who opposes societal shifts on immigration, abortion and more -- as nefarious efforts, led by the left, to fundamentally erode Americas Christian values. This cloaking of ideology is a ploy to attract mainstream support and distract from the groups fundamentally white supremacist ideology.

Fuentes often pulls on themes prevalent in the white supremacist Great Replacement Theory, or what Fuentes calls Great Replacement REALITY. This idea focuses on the belief that native white Europeans are being replaced in their own countries by non-white immigrants from Africa and the Middle East, with the end result being the extinction of the white race. Fuentes tweeted in June, If you are a White male zoomer, remember that the people in power hate you and your unborn children and they will try to genocide you in your lifetime. Fuentes attempts to streamline his extreme ideology by aligning himself with Christianity and traditional values. During his AFPAC keynote speech, Fuentes asserted that even though adherents of the America First movement are sheep among the wolves and the snakes, they will ultimately prevail as they have the protection of God and Jesus.

Fuentes rejects the mainstream Republican Party, claiming that many Groypers, including himself, were once strong Trump supporters but are now angry that the Republican Party is not doing enough to deal with demographic and cultural changes that affect the white population in the U.S. According to Fuentes, the new Republican Party is the party of climate change, universal health care and black lives matter. Fuentes and his followers often dress in suits and ties to project a mainstream conservative image, highlighting the Groypers central goal of disrupting and replacing the established GOP. Fuentes says his vision is to redefine the right-wing by solidifying the political realignment that Donald Trump initiated in 2016 under the banner, slogan and principles of America First.

Like many other right-wing extremists, Fuentes often blankets his bigoted beliefs in sarcasm and ironic humor; he uses cartoonish memes and just joking banter, all while spreading white supremacist propaganda. During an April taping of his show, Fuentes responded to an audience members question about how to respond to his wife getting out of line, saying, Why dont you give her a vicious and forceful backhanded slap with your knuckles right across her face disrespectfully and make it hurt?...Just kidding of coursejust a jokeI would never lay a hand on a women, unless she had it coming. Fuentes often uses terms like culture as substitutes for more divisive terms such as race, and promotes American values as a code for white culture and identity. Fuentes largely avoids blatant white supremacist language, and instead focuses on anti-establishment thinking targeting the GOP, mainstream media and leftists. This strategy, along with adoption of mainstream meme culture like Pepe the Frog, allows the America First movement to attract younger, mainstream conservatives, who are then exposed to the groups extremist ideology.

3) Fuentes has used his platforms to make numerous antisemitic and racist comments.

Fuentes has made a number of racist and antisemitic comments under the guise of being provocative and ironic. For example, he has referred to Daily Wire columnist Matt Walsh as shabbos goy race traitor because he works for Jews (Ben Shapiro, a Jewish conservative, runs the Daily Wire). On a livestream episode, Fuentes jokingly denied the Holocaust and compared Jews burnt in concentration camps to cookies in an oven. On May 24, 2021, Fuentes participated in a debate on right-wing conspiracist Alex Jones InfoWars with Robert Barnes, a man described as a constitutional lawyer who has legally defended both Jones and Kenosha shooter Kyle Rittenhouse. During the debate, Fuentes made numerous antisemitic remarks, including, "I dont see Jews as Europeans and I dont see them as part of Western civilization, particularly because they are not Christians. In April, Fuentes appeared to urge mainstream Republicans to champion an antisemitic focus on Jewish control, tweeting, The next big frontier for populist and conservative inc [sic; this is the America First term for establishment GOPers] to coopt [sic] is discussing Jewish Power. Somehow I dont think theyll broach that one!

Fuentes asserts that whites are under attack and that minorities are changing the texture of life in America. Fuentes often speaks about the white supremacist ideas of race realism, a belief that ones race governs traits such as behavior and intelligence with non-whites being inferior to whites. For example, Fuentes tweeted, Any serious person thinking about globalization and demographic changes should actually care a lot about racial differences in intelligence. But this subject doesnt interest you because its not convenient for your trojan horse brand of kosher nationalism.

Recently, Fuentes used the aftermath of the Derek Chauvin verdict as proof that minorities are being put at the top of a racial caste system. During the 2021 AFPAC, Fuentes remarked further on the rising civil rights movement championed by Black Lives Matter, stating White people founded this country. This country wouldnt exist without white peoplepeople are done being bullied. Fuentes has also made racist comments asserting that segregation and policies in the pre-civil rights-era American South was better for them, its better for us, its better in general.

Fuentes has repeatedly been suspended from a number of social media and video and audio sharing platforms, including YouTube, Twitter, Reddit, TikTok, Spotify, Venmo, Stripe, Clubhouse as well as numerous others, for violating terms of policy with his hateful, bigoted rhetoric and imagery. Most recently, he was banned from his podcast streaming service, DLive, following his attendance at the pro-Trump rally on January 6, and now hosts his show on Alex Jones platform, Banned.Video. This move to a more fringe platform service may prompt Fuentes to produce even more extreme content.

4) Fuentes promoted election fraud narratives and encouraged his adherents to participate in nationwide Stop the Steal protests.

Fuentes served as an organizer and speaker at many Stop the Steal protests leading up to the January 6 attack on the Capitol including protests in Michigan, Wisconsin, Arizona and Washington, DC. Fuentes attended the Million MAGA March in November alongside fellow Groypers, where he addressed a crowd of American Firsters, stating, We are not going to live as captives. This is our Republican Party. This is our country. USA! In the days leading up to January 6, Fuentes continued to promote the myth of election fraud. On January 4, Fuentes posted a video on DLive tacitly urging followers to kill state legislators, before he seemed to backpedal: What can you and I do to state legislators besides kill them? Although, Im not advising that, but I mean, what else are you going to do? In the lead up to January 6, Fuentes received an estimated $250,000 (13.5 bitcoins) in donations, supporting his attendance at the rally in Washington, DC.

Fuentes and other members of America First were present at the Capitol on January 6, about which Fuentes said, This is awesome...we have been beat up and betrayed and spit on and stepped on for decades. And to see the tables turned for once was a little bit refreshing. Fuentes was seen that day giving a speech near the Capitol encouraging his followers to keep moving towards the Capitol it appears we are taking the Capitol back! While Fuentes does not appear to have physically entered the Capitol building, individuals wearing America First merchandise appeared in videos and images inside the building.

Since the attack on the Capitol, Fuentes claims that his bank account has been frozen, he has been placed on the federal no-fly list, and has been banned from Airbnb, Facebook and Instagram. Fuentes described these actions as overt political persecution. Due to this alleged ban, Fuentes was unable to attend the Big Tech Press Conference in Florida, an event he organized with a variety of right-wing pundit speakers including Michele Malkin and Laura Loomer. Although Fuentes links his no-fly status to the Capitol riot, Fuentes reportedly had an altercation on a December flight over the issue of mask mandates.

5) Fuentes has been embraced and praised by a spectrum of far right-wing fringe conservatives, providing him a larger platform for elevating the America First movement.

Fuentes has been embraced by a variety of figures on the far-right, from fringe GOP figures to dedicated white supremacists. His success in attracting a sizeable attendanceas well as right wing-influencers and elected officialsto his events, like AFPAC and the Big Tech Conference in Florida, show the rallying effect of Fuentes and the America First movement. Right-wing pundit Michelle Malkin, who has recently embraced white supremacist rhetoric, has aligned herself with the America First movement, praising their shared mission to end mass migration, restore law and order, and conserve and uphold actual conservative values.

Fuentes has attracted the attention of elected officials, including U.S. Rep. Paul Gosar of Arizonas 4th congressional district. Fuentes claimed to be hosting a fundraiser and roundtable event in honor of Rep. Paul Gosar on July 2nd in Phoenix, Arizona. While Gosar has in the past participated in America First events, including the 2021 AFPAC, Gosar at this time claims to have had no prior knowledge of this fundraiser. Gosar has routinely appealed to the America First movement, tweeting in response to the outrage regarding his own appearance at the 2021 AFPAC, Not sure why anyone is freaking out. Ill say this: there are millions of Gen Z, Y and X conservatives. They believe in America First. They will not agree 100% on every issue. No group does. We will not let the left dictate our strategy, alliances and efforts. Ignore the left. The upcoming event between Fuentes and Paul Gosar is part of Fuentes White Boy Summer road trip.

Community Leaders Condemn Hate After White Supremacists March Through Boston – NBC10 Boston

Boston community and faith leaders gathered for a press conference Monday morning calling for action by city leaders after a demonstration by dozens of apparent white supremacists who marched through the city's streets and an alleged attack on a Black man on Saturday.

The Boston Police Department said it learned around 12:30 p.m. that about 100 protesters had gathered on Congress Street near City Hall Plaza Saturday.

Photos and videos posted to social media appeared to show throngs of protesters marching under the banner of the Patriot Front, characterized by the Anti-Defamation League and the Southern Poverty Law Center as a white supremacist group.

Patriot Front has recently made appearances across the country. More than two dozen members were arrested last month in Idaho when they allegedly targeted a Pride festival.

"It's a shame. It's just a shame that in 2022 that we've regressed to this point in our country," said Rod Webber, a local filmmaker working to expose the group. "They're a bunch of Nazis and I said, 'go home, cowards.' And we literally chased them down the street."

Mayor Michelle Wu said Monday that investigators are looking into a confrontation that broke out during the march near Back Bay station, though no charges have been filed at this time. A photo captured by a Boston Herald photographer appears to show marchers clashing with a Black man.

"Investigations are still ongoing, particularly the civil rights investigation around the brief confrontation that happened right outside the police station as this group was departing,"Wu told reporters Monday.

The victim of that attack was identified by community leaders as Charles Murrell, an artist and peace advocate in the Boston area.

Murrell, whose hand was bandaged Monday, did not want to speak of specific details of his attack.

According to a police report, Murrell was walking down the street when he was in the middle of a group of men with masks who shoved and pushed him. He fought back, and then more men went after him, knocking him to the ground. He received stitches to his hand and had cuts to his head.

Murrell has called for peace and invited those listening to a peace and reconciliation concert on July 14 at 7 p.m. at Copley Square, an event he said would serve as a call to action.

I am appalled that even as a healer I have to get my cup poured into in this incident, but in this incident I will continue to pour into other people's cup as a way to pour into my own cup, Murrell said.

Local activists believe it's time for city leaders to stand up, calling for accountability and saying the mayor and police need to do more to stop racism.

Rev. Kevin C. Peterson of the New Democracy Coalition, who said he is acting as a supporter and advisor for Murrell, said Saturday's events did not come as a surprise to him, but that he and others who work with him on civic engagement and racial justice issues are hopeful it could lead to progress.

"Specifically we ask that the mayor immediately convene a race commission that will allow some of the thought leaders in this city and outside of this city to make a historical assessment about where we are as a city with regard to race and racism and then begin to institutionalize policies that will begin a process of racial repair and racial reconciliation," Peterson said.

The assembled group went on to explain that they are looking for a way to have conversations on race but also to collect data on racial inequities in the city to determine how something like Saturday's march could happen, the groups and people involved, and use that type of information to figure out how to heal what they called the "fractured relationships" between racial groups.

Peterson said the safety of Boston's residents, particularly its Black residents, was at the top of mind.

"What is the call to action? Where is the accountability?" asked Mawakana Onifade.

Massachusetts State Police said there was no indication that Patriot Front will be a problem for the city's July 4 events and that they are prepared to respond to any issues. The mayor noted that they are in touch with city, state and federal law enforcement to monitor any potential disruption and that the city "will not be intimidated" by Saturday's display.

City leaders did speak out about the march when the news first broke on Saturday.

"To the white supremacists who ran through downtown today: When we march, we don't hide our faces. Your hate is as cowardly as it is disgusting, and it goes against all that Boston stands for," Wu wrote on Twitter.

"We do not welcome that here. We condemn them," Wu added in comments made Monday morning. "It is insulting to the city of Boston, especially in a moment when we lift up our role for fighting for equality and liberty for every single person and the parts of that fight that we are still leading the way on today."

The city says it had no prior knowledge of the demonstration.

"I'm outraged and disgusted at the white supremacist group protesting today," added City Council President Ed Flynn in a tweet.

In a longer statement, Flynn referred to the Patriot Front's actions last month at a Pride event in Idaho, where 31 members of the hate group were arrested on charges of conspiracy to riot. Coeur d'Alene Police Chief Lee White said he and his department subsequently received death threats from anonymous callers.

"It is incumbent upon all of us to acknowledge, call out, and disavow the growing extremism and creeping hate in our country wherever we see it," Flynn wrote. "We must always stand with the Jewish community and our communities of color, educate our children about the horrors of the past so that history does not repeat itself, and make clear to all neo-Nazi and white supremacist groups that they are not welcome and will never represent our values."

Revolutionary Spaces, which operates the Old State House, slammed the group for protesting outside the historic site.

"No place was more central to the birth of our most fundamental democratic ideals than the Old State House," Revolutionary Spaces President and CEO Nathaniel Sheidley said in a statement. "The presence in its shadow of those who would reject these ideals is an important reminder that democracy is fragile and the work of building a society rooted in liberty and justice for all is not finished."

City Councilor At-Large Ruthzee Louijeune said the protesters are "Cowards, all of them. No place for what they're selling in our city."

"This is disgusting. Hate groups have no place in our society," City Councilor Ricardo Arroyo said in a tweet. "Boston is for everyone, recognizes the gift that is our diversity, and will never cower or capitulate to hate."

The NFL's Las Vegas Raiders have hired the first Black female team president in the league's history.

Sandra Douglass Morgan, a Las Vegas native, is not new to firsts. She was the first Black city attorney in Nevada, when she served for the City of North Las Vegas, and she was the first person of color named chair of the Nevada Gaming Control Board, the team said Thursday.

She is also an independent director at Allegiant Airlines, Caesars Entertainment and Fidelity National Financial Inc.

"It is the honor of a lifetime to join the Raiders at one of the most defining times in the team's history," Morgan said. "This team's arrival in Las Vegas has created a new energy and opportunities we never dreamed possible. I look forward to taking this team's integrity, spirit and commitment to excellence on the field into every facet of this organization."

Morgan is a graduate of Eldorado High School; the University of Nevada, Reno; and the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.

"The Las Vegas connection was not a criteria, but it was something that was on the positive side of the ledger," team owner Mark Davis said. "Obviously, somebody that knows this community, knows the people in it I think is very important for us to continue to build out foundation in Las Vegas."

The hire of Morgan comes less than a year after Jon Gruden was dismissed as head coach of the team. In October 2021, a league investigation into the Washington Football Team examining workplace misconduct uncovered emails Gruden had sent years earlier that showed he used racist, misogynistic, and homophobic slurs.

Davis said the search for a new president took 10 months.

Morgan said while she has experienced many firsts throughout her career, she never wants to be the last person breaking barriers.

"I want to get to a point, obviously, where there is no more firsts," she said. "If I could be an inspiration, or help, or open doors for any other woman and girl out there, then that's an incredible accomplishment for me."

‘Tournament of Kings’ brings all ages together in Las Vegas – Lasvegasmagazine

Deep within the recesses of the battlement-crowned resort named for King Arthurs sacred sword there is a realm where medieval behavior rules the day, mortal combat is commonplace and eating with ones hands is not merely tolerated, but mandatory. Excalibur Hotel & Casinos Tournament of Kings is a favored place of brave knights representing thousand-year-old thrones to gather and share company, swap stories, clash swords and display expert horsemanship to shouts of Huzzah! from onlooking crowds.

Those thrones are generally stable, but not every kingdom gets a permanent place in the arena. Austria, France, Hungary, Ireland, Sweden and Spain are now joined by Romania, whose hardened armies arrive after preventing hordes from the east from sweeping across Europe. Romanias rulers included members of the Order of the Dragon from Transylvania and Wallachia such as Vlad Dracul, whose son Vlad Dracula would inspire legends of merciless cruelty towards his enemies.

Tournament of Kings has a section devoted to its own dragon on par with the bleachers reserved for fans of the continental kingdoms. Hearty Cornish hen dinners (dietary accommodations may be available upon request) are served to guests, making flatware unnecessary and conserving precious metals for swordsmiths. Monarchs and aristocracy make merry, dancers twirl and pounding on tables is a time-honored tradition of showing enthusiasm.

The evening is hosted by the wizard, whose pyrotechnical prowess is impressive but has not yet been lethal to the leagues of Las Vegas visitors in Tournament of Kings more than two decades of history. The skills of the warriors who cross swords, on the other hand, improve with every show. Sounds of metal striking metal resound through the arena as armor-plated knights thrust and parry. One lapse of split-second timing can make the difference between victory or defeat.

Timing is even more important when knights ride towards each other on horseback at top speeds. Jousting is the deadliest of games, having brought a sudden end to many a monarchs reign. The chances of being unseated, trampled on, impaled or blinded is intimidating, but the tradition lives on at Excalibur. Nearly a dozen horses from the Tournament of Kings stables take part.

Ultimately, the eternal forces of good and evil square off in a special effects climax filled with smoke and fire. The sounds are as intense as the sights, with the proceedings having the magical effect of maintaining the attention of younger audience members. There was no social media during the medieval era. There was chivalry, honor, and spectacle. There were dukes and damsels, dining halls and dark forces.

And these elements are all present at Excalibur daily. Time marches on, but the Middle Ages never end at Tournament of Kings.

Caesars Makes a Bold Move on the Las Vegas Strip – TheStreet

The Las Vegas Strip has become the most valuable 4.2-mile stretch of land in the world as casino operators seek to find new ways to lure in tourists while Sin City experiences a post-pandemic boom.

And while covid hasn't actually gone anywhere, Las Vegas has bounced back spectacularly and that has led to huge changes on that famous stretch of road.

MGM Resorts International (MGM) - Get MGM Resorts International Report made perhaps the biggest move when it effectively (but not literally) traded the Mirage for the Cosmopolitan. That deal not only gave the casino operator ownership of a hip new property, it put Mirage into the hands of Hard Rock International, which plans to tear down the site's famous volcano and put up a guitar hotel.

That project will change the Las Vegas skyline -- but it's not the only major move on the Strip. Caesars Entertainment (CZR) - Get Caesars Entertainment Inc. Report has two big moves underway. First, it has put its Flamingo Resort Casino up for sale (though it could end up still operating the property), and it has begun to rebrand its Bally's Resort Casino under the Horseshoe name.

The Horseshoe name has a long and gambler-friendly history. That makes the company's latest move curious.

Caesars has removed the sportsbook at Bally's as part of the transformation into Horseshoe. The space that was once occupied by sports betting will now be filled with an all-ages arcade, the Las Vegas Review-Journal reported.

The new space will have the decidedly direct name "Arcade."

"Arcade will have more than 80 games, ranging from classics to new releases, in a 7,000-square-foot space on the first level of the property near the food court,"the newspaper reported.

"The venue will feature colorful artwork and bright neon lights, as well as an enhanced bar that was already in the space."

Sports bettors will still be able to place bets through the Caesars app while on the property, and a "sports betting counter" will be installed later.

And while Horseshoe will be built around gamblers -- that's the legacy of the brand, which traces its lineage to Las Vegas legend Jack Binion -- the arcade is part of an effort to give the property broad appeal.

The Arcade will welcome all ages and open the door for a broader audience, Bally's General Manager Jason Gregorec said in a statement.

This move follows Caesars turning another one of its Strip properties into the Las Vegas Strip's only hotel/casino that's open only to guests ages 21-and-up.

Cromwell was the last Caesars-owned property to open after Las Vegas's covid-related shutdown. When it returned, Caesars made the change to 21-and-over -- a move that the new upscale Strip-like downtown casino Circa made when it opened.

"In line with the boutique hotel experience, we are pleased to announce that we will reopen on Oct. 29 as the first adults-only property on Las Vegas Boulevard, with a continued emphasis on our enhanced health and safety protocols."

And while most of the property will be open only to guests 21-and-over, Giada, a restaurant from celebrity chef Giada De Laurentiis, will remain open to guests of all ages.

Caesars adding an all-ages arcade to a resort casino that caters to gamblers may be a surprising decision, but these moves taken together show the value of owning so many properties on the Strip. Caesars and MGM can use each casino strategically to capture a different segment of the audience.

An arcade makes sense for gamblers traveling with teenage children or for people who want an occasional break from the action. A 21-and-over property enables the company to cater to customers who don't want to see children while they play the tables or take their chances at the slots.

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) As temperatures heat up across Southern Nevada one couple was able to get the gift of a new air conditioning unit after going without for weeks, thanks to the help of Rebuilding Together Southern Nevada.

Annielsa Frame and her husband Mufid Khoury told 8 News Now their home was built in the 70s and their air conditioning unit was barely hanging on until it completely stopped working in June.

The couple said at times the temperature outside their home would reach up to 104 degrees, and inside the temperatures ranged in the mid-90s.

The couple added that the price for a new air conditioning system was going to cost more than $11,000, which was money they did not have.

We were sweltering just sitting down, not doing anything, Khoury said.

The couple was then referred to the organization called Rebuilding Together Southern Nevada, which helps low-income families get home essentials.

This week, they helped install the new air conditioning system and the couple could not have been more grateful.

We feel that it was gods gift to us, Khoury said. I dont even know how we would have survived this summer I dont believe we would have survived.

Bob Cleveland the executive director of Rebuilding Together Southern Nevada was personally there to oversee the installation.

I dont get to see as many clients as I used to, but you walk into a house that is 95 degrees, its like how do you live like this? he said. This is part of our county funding and we are just very blessed to be able to help.

Those in need of similar help can contact Rebuilding Together Southern Nevada, but applicants must qualify as low-income seniors, veterans, and individuals with disabilities who have owned their homes for at least one year.

Nationally, the organization rehabilitates nearly 10,000 homes each year with the support of corporate sponsors, community businesses, and volunteers.

I-Team: Im a woman of God Las Vegas pastors accused of stealing over $1 million from healthcare system – KLAS – 8 News Now

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) In 2018 they were Las Vegas pastors, but now in 2022, Joe and Regina Brice are accused of stealing from the healthcare system.

In 2020, the Brices agreed to an interview with the 8 News Nows I-Team reporter Vanessa Murphy while they were being investigated for fraud before they were charged.

We didnt do what were accused of doing at all, said Regina.

Vanessa Murphy: How concerned are you Joe and Regina that the case against you could move forward and you could end up going to prison?

Regina Brice: Its not gonna happen. Were not concerned at all. We serve a righteous god

Regina has been indicted for healthcare fraud while she and her husband Joe also face charges that they profited from the alleged scheme.

According to the indictment, Regina set up Above and Beyond Behavioral Health Services in 2016 and submitted fake claims to Nevada Medicaid totaling $1.1 million. Her husband started and owned Chances Behavioral Health in 2017 where fraudulent claims were also submitted to Medicaid.

Prosecutors point to four wire transfers from the business account totaling more than $392,000.

Murphy: Were patients definitely being seen at both of those?

Regina: Yes. Everyday. Yes.

Murphy: So then what do you think was the red flag for the investigators?

Regina: I cant tell you. We have no idea.We still dont to this day.

Prosecutors say services that were billed for crisis intervention never happened. Those services include psychotherapy, and alcohol and drug screenings.

Prosecutors also say that the Brices used the tax dollars they received from Medicaid to live large. The couple owned multiple properties, ran a restaurant, and also held services at their Narrow Path Ministries.

However, at the time of the interview, their homes and businesses were raided by the IRS and other agencies. Their place of worship and businesses were closed and they filed for bankruptcy.

Murphy: You had an $800,000 house in Las Vegas, $500,000 house in Henderson, $255,000 house in North Las Vegas. Was that money earned after the businesses were set up in Las Vegas?

Regina: Yes.

Regina did admit that even with no formal healthcare background, it was easy to set up the healthcare business. She told the I-Team, that for less than $500, she obtained a healthcare provider I.D., which is needed to bill for Medicaid.

However, according to the documents obtained by the I-Team, Joe and Regina had criminal histories that they did not disclose on their applications, which is illegal.

For Regina, the letter refers to convictions for child abuse or neglect charge, assault or battery, and an offense involving a deadly weapon.

The letter for Joe refers to a drug conviction and a weapons charge.

Were not crooks. Ive never been in trouble to steal, I never even stole a penny candy in my life.I dont have a criminal record of stealing.Im not a thief.Im a woman of god, said Regina.

Since the indictment against the Brices, the I-Team requested a new interview, but the law firm representing them declined our request.

The Brices pleaded not guilty and they are currently not in custody. The defense attorneys and prosecutors have until October to file documents in federal court.

The I-Team has learned that there is a there was a third unnamed defendant, however, the case is sealed.

Las Vegas is getting hotter. Its felt 117 degree heat three times in the last ten years.

Most of us survive by jumping from home to car to work; then reversing it at the end of the day. All of it air conditioned.

But there has got to be a way to do more during the summermaybe outside; maybe insidebut something more than simply waiting out these three or four months until the temperature gets into the low-90s again.

How do you do it? Do we have to convince ourselves, maybe through hypnosis, that summer isnt that bad? Or are there ways to really enjoy it?

And when we say surviving the summer heat, we arent using those words lightly. In the last two years, more than 300 people have died in the heat of Las Vegas during the summer. People also get severely burned.

Aron Baynes to work out for NBA teams in Las Vegas one year after spinal cord injury – ESPN

Aron Baynes, who suffered a spinal cord injury after a freak fall while playing for the Australian national team in the Tokyo Olympics last summer, has resumed his career and will be working out for NBA teams Friday in Las Vegas.

Baynes was in hospitals in Tokyo and Brisbane for nearly two months last summer as he learned to walk again. He returned to playing basketball only in January after grueling weeks regaining his strength through daily physical therapy and is now ready to show teams his progress.

Baynes was knocked unconscious last July 28 when he fell in the bathroom where he'd gone during the fourth quarter of Australia's Olympic pool play game with Italy. When he came to, he had numbness in his limbs and couldn't walk. He was rushed to the hospital where scans showed internal bleeding was putting pressure on his spine.

"It's a remarkable comeback and a testament to all the hard work he's put in," Daniel Moldovan, Baynes' agent, told ESPN.

Baynes, 35, has played nine seasons in the NBA and averaged 6.1 points and 5.2 rebounds with the Toronto Raptors during the 2020-21 season. He won an NBA title with the San Antonio Spurs in 2014 and was part of Australia's bronze-medal team last summer, the country's first Olympic medal.

Do the Las Vegas Raiders have the worst roster in the AFC West? – Just Blog Baby

The Las Vegas Raiders have positively revamped their roster this offseason, but do they have the worst roster in the AFC West?

It has been a very successful offseason for the Las Vegas Raiders, a team that won ten games in 2021 and made their second appearance in the playoffs in the last five years. Of course, it was also their second appearance in the last 20 years as well, as they have only made the playoffs in 2016 and 2021 since the 2002 season.

Overall, there was a lot to like about what went on between the white lines, as the team battled through a very strange season off the field. With a new head coach and general manager at the helm this offseason, the team got better, but some do not feel it will be good enough in a tough AFC West division.

Recently, Cody Benjamin from CBSSports.com put out his ranking of all 32 rosters heading into training camp, and the Raiders came in at No. 12 overall. That is a solid ranking considering the holes they still have along the offensive line, and on defense, but it came in as the worst in the AFC West.

Does Las Vegas really have the worst roster in the division? This after adding All-Pro talent in Davante Adams and Chandler Jones?

Truth be told, the Chiefs lost a lot of talent this offseason, and while Los Angeles is seen as a darling by most media outlets, they have accomplished nothing with Justin Herbert at quarterback. Denver will be much better now that they have a capable quarterback, but they also have a new head coach and issues up and down the roster.

Overall, the Las Vegas Raiders roster will be one of the best in the AFC, and whether or not that translates to wins will really be up to the coaching staff. The Raiders have veteran leaders up and down the roster as well, so when all is said and done, their roster could prove to be the best in the division.

Spurs rule out Jeremy Sochan and Joe Wieskamp for Las Vegas Summer League – Pounding The Rock

In what is likely to be a fairly significant letdown to fans who were looking forward to seeing the Spurs new rookies in Summer League, one will not be available: 9th overall pick Jeremy Sochan, who tested positive for COVID just days after arriving in San Antonio. While he is back with the team, the Spurs decided it wasnt worth the injury risk for him to play after missing all the practices for reconditioning.

Joe Wieskamp has also been ruled out after suffering a sprained ankle in practice on Tuesday and had been wearing a boot. He was drafted 41st overall by the Spurs in 2021 and signed a two-way contract last season, which was later converted to a regular NBA contract March. The Spurs have since extended him a qualifying offer, making him a restricted free agent for San Antonio. Hopefully missing out on Summer League wont hurt his chances at finding a permanent spot in the league next season, be it with the Spurs or elsewhere.

Despite the letdown absences, there will still be plenty of reasons to watch the Summer Spurs. With the starting guard position suddenly in flux thanks to the trade of Dejounte Murray, now will be a good time to see how much 2021 lottery pick Josh Primo has grown according to Gregg Popovich, his maturity level is uncanny as well as see what their other two first round picks in Malaki Branham and Blake Wesley are all about.

The Spurs kick off Summer League tomorrow in Las Vegas at 4PM CT against the Cleveland Cavaliers, which can be viewed on NBA TV.

Las Vegas police: Suspected drunk driver rammed other vehicles, flashed gun, spit on officers – KLAS – 8 News Now

Man refused to listen to commands, police say

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) A driver is accused of ramming other cars, flashing a gun, and then spitting on officers during an arrest earlier this week, Las Vegas police said.

Police said they were called to an area near the intersection of Las Vegas Boulevard and Carson Avenue on Sunday for a report of a driver who was ramming vehicles and waving a gun, they said.

The driver, identified as Francisco Dutchover, of Carlsbad, New Mexico, refused to listen to officers commands, they said.

Dutchover pulled over near the on-ramp to U.S. 95, police said. Officers noted a strong odor of alcohol emanating from the driver, they said.

While at the Clark County jail, Dutchover refused to listen to officers commands and kicked a chair at one, police said.

He also reportedly spit at officers and threatened staff, police said.

Dutchover faces charges including of DUI, disobeying a police officer while DUI, and assault on a protected person.

He posted bail and was due in court in August. A booking photo was unavailable.
