The festivities took place on Monday evening with a host of top-notch celebs on hand to fete this year #39;s honorees, which includes Nicole Ari Parker and James Pickens, Jr. Selita Ebanks stepped out in a beautiful blush mermaid-style dress by Hervé Léger. The model-cum-swimsuit designer got a run for her money from "America #39;s Next Top Model" alum Eva Marcille who donned a near identical silhouette in a dress by EMIL Couture. The fellas were also out turning heads. Actor Brian White played with prints in a polka dot tie and grey plaid suit. And speaking of grey -- Jesse Williams of "Grey #39;s Anatomy" worked the red carpet in a fitted blue suit and black button-down shirt. Samuel L. Jackson was one of the night #39;s presenters and of course rocked a Kangol hat. The Nasimi District Court chaired by judge Elman Ahmedov held a hearing on the lawsuit brought by Rasim Aliyev, head of the Forensic Medicine and Pathological Anatomy Department of the Defense Ministry, against human rights defender Alakbar Mammadov. Aliyev claims that his honor and dignity were damaged by Mammadov. According to Aliyev, the human rights defender spread false information in the media about the removal and sale of internal organs of dead soldiers. Aliyev demands that Mammadov make an apology and pay 100000AZN in compensation and transfer that amount to the account of the Armed Forces Assistance Fund. In turn, the human rights defender has filed a countersuit claiming to be insulted by Rasim Aliyev. Mammadov objected to the judge, when the latter refused to hear the witnesses of the rights defender. However his objection was rejected. A sawn jaw bone from the London Hospital
These bones were found in one of the burials excavated at the London Hospital. It contained the body parts of several different people. Using 3D scans, we can see that the bones have been sawn, presumably to prepare them for use in anatomy classes. This video shows how we have put together some of the fragments. This video is an example of material on show at the Doctors Dissection Resurrection Men exhibition at The Museum of London.
