Kayaking and Snorkeling on Florida’s SW Gulf Coast

I just received an email from a couple, Dave and Linda, who purchased my beach guidebook. They live near the coast here in southwest Florida and are particularly interested in kayaking and snorkeling in addition to exploring the beaches. In part, they wrote:

Iquitos and the Amazon Jungle

Iquitos the Peruvian jungle capital is a strange old place. The city is an island in the middle of the jungle only reachable by boat or plane in fact itrsquos the largest city in the world not connected to a national road network. As there is but one road heading out of the city and that only goes 100km to Nauta not many people have cars so Iquitos is Mototaxi City with an alleged 20

Oklahoma is OK

Hello from Sallisaw OK. Another uneventful but long driving day 455 miles. I think all was finally forgiven at least by Renita and Jo because they finally found a shoe store and bought shoes

Road to recovery…

Our first night on Ko Phangan left us lsquoroad worn and weary eyedrsquo bonus points if you can name the artist that sings that song so we had an early night after dinner on the beach with Lynn and a few drinks.
