In a kind of Back To The Future part 1 type scenario at the current time of finishing the Singapore blog and to be fair the majority of the latter blogs of SouthEast Asia we have been in Australia we have now been here for nearly three months and are currently living by Bondi Beach and working in Sydney. We have been working at our current job for just over two months and it has taken me th
They came from under my door
Living in a Chinese apartment building means a ton of paper gets shoved under my door on a daily basis. Here is a sampling.

Over the Water and Up the Haines Hwy
We were at the ferry by 10 waiting in long lines. We were lined up by who knows what plan but some of us were going only to Haines the first stop an hour away. We would load last. It was interesting to watch the big rigs load and watch those in charge pick and choose who went on next. I told Kerry it was kind of like a tetris game they had to fit by size and weight. While we waited we wa
Godfrey Returns
Well hello my lovely friends. It has been a very busy year for me and I have been away a lot. Forgive me for not updating my photos sooner but I will be endeavouring to rectify this over the next few weeks. My first photo update is from a trip to Fiji last year with Dr Krauel. I had a wonderful time boating and sunning myself on the beach. It was so difficult to return.

Week 29 30 Sauted Morning Glory
Therersquos only so much ldquoIrsquoll use you for all I canrdquo attitude a hardworking honest chap like myself can take and upon hearing the three day lsquoLabour Dayrsquo national holiday was possibly being overlooked by my immediate superior I decided it was finally time to fight back. A fight back that was surprisingly over before it started my secret weapon my contract la
Loving it
Another great day. I walked to the MXAT by myself in the morning and this city still just amazes me. Constant bombardment of sounds and sights which enlivens the senses. We had a hard time finding the location of our first class Russian Film History because apparently our helpers didn't feel it was necessary to give us any sort of tour of the MXAT where all of our classes are held so that we
Southern tip of Malaysia Johor Bahru
Friday 4 June 2010It has been another frustrating few days. We donrsquot know where the days go but they seem to be taken up by waiting for the good news and getting over the bad news. The good news as I write this weekrsquos blog input is that we are no longer in Kuala Lumpur. We received the good news finally on Tuesday afternoon that customs at Port Klang had accepted that we had got p
Wonders of the Wall
ldquo He who does not reach the Great Wall is not a true manrdquo. Chairman Mao And here I thought being a true man had something to do with hockeyhellip I recently had a friend in town for a couple weeks and we decided to go on a weekend trip somewhere before he left and were trying to decide what to do. Our options were going to Xian to see the Terracotta Warriors going to Chengdu t
Prison Ministry
Thursday was the third time that I have gone to the prison ministry. These three visits have really been amazing especially listening in during the bible study and life skill sessions. The prisoners are beginning to become much more open and vulnerable. Even though there are some language barriers as most of them speak Zulu or other African languages its unbelievable how much scripture the g

We strike it rich by Lachlan
Monday 24th May 2010We went to a gold dredge in Dawson City. Dad and I saw a beaver swimming in a stream next to the dredge. My favourite thing was going panning in Gold Bottom creek .The water was cold and we found tiny specks of gold in our pans after shaking the dirt and rocks in the stream. My pieces of gold were the biggest.

Trek through the Jungle to Machame Camp 2980 meters
Hi all Currently at an internet Cafe in the town of Moshi and catching up with my travel blog. I kept a journal throughout my trek and have decided to post blogs daybyday.I have just finished my trek to the summit of Kilimanjaro via the Machame Route. While it is not the easiest trail it is apparently one of the most scenic and allows the most time for altitude acclimatization. 7. 30 am The tr
Scramble up the Rocks to Shira Camp 3840 meters
Day two complete And so far less challenging than anticipated Trail today was far steeper than yesterday. The key is to walk extremely slowly Polepole. This part of the trail was a bit like walking up a steep flight of stairs stepping from one rock up to the next. WE are now out of the forest and into a strange moorland loads of trees with no leaves but just draped in moss. Views are mag

After having to lodge a claim at the American Airlines office as both Marikarsquos cases were damaged then missing the last shuttle at 10pm we got a taxi. Rather tired annoyed about delayed and changed lights and hungry from missing dinner we showered and hit the sack But through all the
Accra Ghana.
June 2 I have finally made it to my destination Accra Ghana My flight was the first nonstop flight from Atlanta to Accra and there was a ceremony at the Atlanta airport before we took board. It was pretty cool to see the Ghanaians of Georgia there to celebrate this new direct flight. Now I am here many many hours later. We arrived at the airport which was much different than the usual airpo
A few hours in Hong Kong
Pete took me to the airport for about 9pm as my flight out was at 11pm. I was all ready to check in when the airport lady told me she wouldn't check me in because my return flight was for more then 30 days in Thailand and I didn't have a visa. Long story short no one I asked could give me any answers regarding a visa because you get a 30 day visa upon arrival and can extend it when you are there
Bequia June 3 2010
Greetings from Bequia. We made it through San Juan and St Vincent and onto Bequia with only a few hitches. San Juan was great. We had dinner at Cafe Puerto Rico right accross from Christopher Columbus square. Our waiter was very nice and come out to the square to take some pictures for us. Always tip your servers well and they will do anything for you. When we arrived at St Vincent the Cobbl
