Tallin Estonia A quick day
Well dear blog readers we have to admit that we knew nothing of Tallin Estonia before today We were so surprised at how much we loved it. Talllin is on the Baltic Sea and has an ldquoOld Cityrdquo behind walls and a new city with skyscrapers. We walked through the old city with a guide taking us on a tour of places where Peter the Great had impact on Tallin. Peter was 6'7 and could s

WE THOUGHT IT WAS ALL OVER
SA doesnrsquot fail to surprise. Just as we were getting into going home mode we decided to do the Stellenbosch wine route. My Lord what an experience. We started out by popping into a couple of wine estates just to get an idea of the procedure etc. We thought it might be a case of hard sell to buy wine but I can assure you it wasnrsquot. The staff in the wineryrsquos were really please
Trekking Chiang Mai
After 1 nights stay in chiang Mai we took a 3 day trek to see some waterfalls etc and also stay in a hill trible village. Wjilst it was nice to once again break the habbit of just observing things to actually doing things this trip turned out to be a bit of a mix of good and bad. The first day we left late as seems to be the theme in Thailand. This emant that we would later be doing uphill trek

From the plane ride over 6772010
59F outsideI look up from Inglorious Bastards and see we're almost over Toronto. What time is it When'd we take off again and when'd I start watching this movie I decided to watch IB first because the cabin wasn't dark enough to watch Avatar. Going from a larger than life screen and in 3D to a 4x5 or smaller screen wasn't exactly my goal when viewing this award winning featureAs an asid

OKLAHOMA AND TEXAS
July 8 2010We did not overnight in Weatherford after all. We went looking for some sights to see and ended up in Clinton OK so that is where we stayed. In the morning we took our time waking up and getting ready to start again. Started the day at the Rt. 66 Museum in Clinton. A very interesting place. Took lots of pictures. The Valentine Manufacturing Company built many diners along the hi
Day 14 To Paris omg 3112
Waking up early wasn't hard this morning. We were heading to Paris. It was one of those impossible things and probably the icon of romance to myself and finally I was about to be there for New Years Eve as wellThe sunrise was gorgeous and I have to say in the end the countryside is kind of more of the same. It does get a touch boring on the bus which is horrible to say I'm in France for heaven

Had an adventurous ride today. They had construction on part of the two lane road to Pinedale and the pavement was COMPLETELY removed. We had oneway traffice on this for about 4 miles. George was not happy. On the other hand the scenery was absolutely gorgeous as we were in the Grand Tetons running alongside the Snake and Hobart Rivers. The waters are a bluegreen and the Snake River was fu

The ‘sucker hole’
Dear FriendsA few weeks ago I took my grandson to see the IMAX movie about Lewis and Clarks's adventure to find a westward passage to the ocean. I had seen it last year in St. Louis with my older grandkids. I had seen it many years ago as a Nat'l Geographic special. I think it is a great movie as it depicts the horrible conditions that they and their men and Sacagewea and her baby went through.
