Day 35

WE packed and left by 930am this appears to becoming our regular move out timeThe road way taken was easy going and long straight stretches of highway. No trouble to our rig and we made good time. We came alongside some more tennis balls growing in the paddocks and being an hour on the road we decided to pull over for morning tea and check it out. After our long discussion on the co

Thursday 3 March Uncle Ho says Victory Means Victory Hanoi

The morning is spent with last minute shopping for Mary before putting her on the plane back to Australia. That done we checked out of the Thanh Thuong guesthouse. The guesthouse gets pretty good reviews from Tripadvisor but despite the newness of the hotel I got a smelly room. The family who run the guesthouse were not overly friendly. That done we head out to Tan Son Nhat Airport with plenty of

Saturday 5 March Tam Coc

I choose to do a tour out to Tam Coc the collection of Karst outcrop that shares similarities with Ha Long bay but on land. A trip to Ha Long bay is the usual tour out of town but given the weather I am inclined to give it a miss. I later find that Ha Long is so touristy that I am glad for my choice. The tour is with the Sinh Tourist and involves a 3 hour bus trip down to the town of Ninh Binh.

Ich wollte aber nur das Denkmal besichtigen. Der nchste

Day 7 Bath

A nice early start today we departed for Bath planning to camp at a site some 5 miles away. We headed into Bath and on the advice from some other campers we met looked for a Park and Ride as taking the camper into Bath may have been tricky. Well no park and Ride was to be found on our route we found out later that the way we came in was the only road NOT to have a park and Ride and we ended up i

Life is a Beach and I’m Just Playing in the Sand

The sky is blue and pure in every direction. The sun is total and burning and just right there and today is a beautiful day. This bottle of beer and I are reclining on one of the many sandy beaches of Koh Chang. Its some day between Thursday and Sunday. Its some time between 9am and 9pm. Thats all I know and thats all I care to know right now. In places like this the only time that

Seven month anniversary with Korea Lessons learned

A dull gray sky hung over rust encrusted fences where dusty brown dogs with fur that had been born white strained at their chains to bark at our car. The streets were small with seemingly no order and half the place seemed to be alleys. The spidery black lines of Hangul decorated every store front and made my head swim. Korean men and women whose age looked to be in the triple digits milled ab

Portland Trailblazers Meet Greet

As season ticket holders for the Portland Trailblazers one of the perks they offer is an evening of games food and meeting players. Ticket holders are invited for one of two evenings with half of the players coming each night. There was a hamburgerhot dog buffet free video games and bowling and players there to meet and get a photo with. Pretty neat perk for ticket holders that just about m
