Modern Major Food-and-All – Video

Modern Major Food-and-All
This is a video about nutrition for a class, yes it #39;s cheesy (get it?) and lame, but it was fun! Ish. Yes, Mr. Ribbins is my teacher. Ignore the solid 41 second disclaimer! All food was later eaten/drank Anyways, enjoy! Lyrics To like this song you don #39;t have to major in a biology, Although this video might be a good study for psychology. This tune #39;s not great I know I won #39;t just sit here and prevaricate, But here #39;s a little ditty about all the stuff that I just ate. I #39;ve drank so much water you can just can me a new kind of tree, It helps dissolve the complex B as well as the vitamin C. I #39;ve got so much "C" in my diet you can go call me Neptune; Eating right is the whole point and message of this nutrient tune. ______________________________________________________________ Micro, macro minerals are some good things that humans should eat, But thanks to this class, getting these things is no Herculean feat. To think of any other class is simply just too terrible, To be in Mr. Ribbins #39; class is simply not comparable. There #39;s this awesome field of study called gastroenterology You might not stomach it, but it might just be the thing for me. For example, in digestion muscles and mucous lend a hand, As well as how food without nutrients will always taste so bland. No dinner is complete without a little bit of cheese on top, From whence I once came, calcium is just in every meal nonstop. Factors I can #39;t control like culture, I fear is no mystery; Like, age, gender and other ...From:ugoheyViews:7 0ratingsTime:03:49More inEducation

American Heart Association reports telltale visible signs of aging may predict heart disease – Video

American Heart Association reports telltale visible signs of aging may predict heart disease
If you look old, your heart may feel old, according to research presented at the American Heart Association #39;s Scientific Sessions 2012. In a new study, those who had three to four aging signs mdash; receding hairline at the temples, baldness at the head #39;s crown, earlobe crease, or yellow fatty deposits around the eyelid (xanthelasmata) mdash; had a 57 percent increased risk for heart attack and a 39 percent increased risk for heart disease. "The visible signs of aging reflect physiologic or biological age, not chronological age, and are independent of chronological age," said Anne Tybjaerg-Hansen, MD, the study #39;s senior author and professor of clinical biochemistry at the University of Copenhagen in Denmark. Researchers analyzed 10885 participants 40 years and older (45 percent women) in the Copenhagen Heart Study. Of these, 7537 had frontoparietal baldness (receding hairline at the temples), 3938 had crown top baldness, 3405 had earlobe crease, and 678 had fatty deposits around the eye. In 35 years of follow-up, 3401 participants developed heart disease and 1708 had a heart attack.From:mastercreator1000Views:0 0ratingsTime:01:24More inScience Technology

ll4.me Marine Biogeochemical Cycles - Open University, This Volume belongs to a series on Oceanography. It is designed so that it can be read on its own, or used as a supplement in oceanogrphy courses. After a brief introduction to sea-floor sediments, the book shows how the activities of marine organisms cycle nutrients and other dissolved constituents within the oceans, and influence the rates at which both solid and dissolved material is removed to sediments. It goes on to review the carbonate system and shows how sediments that come from continental areas may be transported to the deep sea, explores what sea-floor sediments have taught us about the history of the oceans, and describes the biological and chemical processes that continue long after sediments have been deposited on the deep sea-floor.Author: University,, Open Publisher: Butterworth-Heinemann Illustration: N Language: ENG Title: Marine Biogeochemical Cycles Pages: 00130 (Encrypted PDF) On Sale: 2005-05-31 SKU-13/ISBN: 9780750667937 Category: Science : Life Sciences - Biochemistry This Volume belongs to a series on Oceanography. Geography Club raises money for charter school

By Laurie Reiner November 8, 2012.

The Geography Club is raising money to pay for a bicycle rack for a local elementary school by selling coffee, hot chocolate and

baked goods.

The club had a table set up outside of the Social and Behavioral Science Building on Wednesday. This was the clubs second fundraiser for Ogden Preparatory Academy. It is raising money for two bike racks, one for the elementary school and one for the junior high.

I think its important because parents, instead of drive their kids to school, they have a healthier alternative way to transport their children to and from school, said Hannah Rice, a member of the Geography Club and a geography major with an environmental studies emphasis.

Were doing like a dollar suggested donation, but if people dont have a dollar, the change in their pocket works as well, said Shauna Wolfgram, who is also a member of the Geography Club with an emphasis in environmental studies. Wolfgram said someone traded them an orange for some food.

Rice said the club needs to raise around $1,000 in order to buy the bike racks. The first fundraiser was earlier this semester when they raised about $160, and Rice said they will probably raise about the same amount of money the second time. The club will have a few more fundraisers in the spring, and Wolfgram said they hope to raise the money by the end of spring semester.

Its a way of getting kids involved in sustainable transportation, said Heidi Hidalgo, a geography major who donated at the table.

Grounds for Coffee donated the hot chocolate and coffee for the fundraiser. There were also baked goods, such as muffins and rice crispy treats available to buy at the table.

Makeup from Karl Lagerfeld and Nars, ‘powerful anti-aging,’ and exotic scents

Beauty picks for Holiday 2012 By Cheche V. Moral Philippine Daily Inquirer

KARL Lagerfeld with Mon Shu Girl, the manga character he created for Shu Uemura

The big beauty launches happen in the run-up to the holidays. And fans of makeup, fragrance and skincare have a lot to look forward to in the next few weeks.

Karl Lagerfeld x Shu Uemura

Shu Uemura unveiled recently its long-awaited makeup collaboration with Karl Lagerfeld. Umu, Dusit Thanis Japanese restaurant, was awash in red Tuesday to usher in Mon Shu (My Darling) Girl, a Japanese manga-inspired character created by the fashion legend to represent his image for the collection.

Mon Shu sports a distinctly Asian blunt bob and has tiny red lips and big, red eyesmysterious rather than sinister, according to her creatorand is dressed in Lagerfelds likeness: white shirt and a black tie.

Nars x Andy Warhol Edie Set in 16-mm film canister

Lagerfeld has had a longtime affinity with the Japanese makeup brand. He said in promotional interviews that he began buying Shu Uemura eye shadows some 20 years ago. He uses the palette like he would use pastel crayons to color his sketches and designs.

I have never found this quality of pigment anywhere else, Lagerfeld said. I have used many other big brands, but Shu Uemuras are very refined and so fresh. I love this black that gives depth to my designs, and the red is very passionate. I use this red to make up the models in my designs and create the silhouette. In Japan the reds are always really vivid.

Lagerfeld met Shu Uemura in 2006, a year before the brands founder died. I really liked his pioneer spirit and the sparkling energy in his eyes, Lagerfeld said. I do feel that everyone has to invent his/her own thing, and I think Mr. Uemura created something that no one else could.
