Awesome Hot Wheels Car Vector W8 Twin Turbo – Video

Awesome Hot Wheels Car Vector W8 Twin Turbo
The Vector W8 was a sports car produced from 1989 to 1993.[3] It was manufactured by Vector Aeromotive, and was designed by Gerald Wiegert[3][4] and David Kostka. The company claimed the newest and most advanced aerospace materials were used in building the W8s, which they said justified applying to the car the term "Aeromotive Engineering." Just 19 W8s were produced (17 customer cars and two pre-production cars, the prototype W2, and two prototype Avtech WX-3 and AWX3R with a mock up of the 7.0 liter DOHC TT engine evolution). A total of 22 automobiles produced by Vector Aeromotive over the life of the company. The car originally sold at retail for up to $455000 USD new, however on today #39;s used market, they are available from $200000 to well over $1 million depending on the condition of the car.From:JedDewFan27Views:1 0ratingsTime:00:45More inAutos Vehicles

Morbid Anatomy Library Acquisition Number 1,352: New Lot of Santa Muerte Related Materials from Mexico

The Morbid Anatomy Library is delighted to announce the acquisition of a new lot of materials related to Santa Muerte, which is, depending on whom you ask, a Mexican-based "cult" or "new religion" which worships death as a female saint.

"Santa Muerte," which literally translates to "Holy Death" or "Saint Death," is popular in Mexico and the United States with disenfranchised populations for whom conventional Catholicism has not provided a better or safer life. It is thought to have its roots in the rich syncretism of the beliefs of the native Latin Americans and the colonizing Spanish Catholics.

The artifacts donated to the library, many of which you see above, include sacred books and pamphlets, devotional statues, magical soaps and oils, charms, incense, and even "La Biblia de la Santa Muerte." They were generously donated by Friends of Morbid Anatomy Tonya Hurley and Tracy Hurley Martin as found on their travels in Mexico. Stay tuned for a series of future guest posts documenting their travels.

These artifacts are now on display and available to researchers. The library will host no-appointment-necessary open hours tomorrow, Sunday December 16th, from 1-4:30. Address and directions here. For more on the fascinating Santa Muerte--and more images!-see this recent post.

Autohaemotherapy after treatment of blood with ozone. A reappraisal. [PubMed - indexed for MEDLINE]
Autohaemotherapy after treatment of blood with ozone. A reappraisal. J Int Med Res. 1994 May-Jun;22(3):131-44. Autohaemotherapy after treatment of blood with ozone. A reappraisal. Bocci V. Source Institute of General Physiology, University of Siena, Italy. Abstract Autohaemotherapy, involving bland treatment ex vivo of blood with ozone and prompt reinfusion into the donor, is a procedure mainly performed in central Europe, which is claimed to have therapeutic value in circulatory disorders, viral diseases and cancer. This practice is mostly performed in private clinics, and good clinical trials have not been published, which has understandably given rise to prejudice and scepticism. By analysing possible mechanisms of action and current hypotheses, this report attempts to explain how this procedure can be useful in such disparate diseases. The current state of the art is presented objectively, the lack of toxicity is documented, and the rationale and therapeutic advantages are discussed, with the aim of eliciting interest in carrying out controlled clinical trials. Juan Villalba and Beth Burritt USU Extension IVC 12/13/12 – Video

Juan Villalba and Beth Burritt USU Extension IVC 12/13/12
Using new knowledge on grazing behavior to manage weeds and health in ruminants. Juan Villalba and Beth Burritt Traditional grazing approaches have not considered new knowledge on foraging behavior like the importance of positive experiences early in life with specific feeds. These experiences (with mother or the appropriate supplement) can have life-long influences on livestock, causing changes in the brain and physiology of animals. These changes influence foraging behavior. Thus, preferences for unpalatable and invasive plant species could be enhanced if we understand how livestock (the weed managers) "perceive" the plant as a result of their previous experiences with it. In addition to acquiring a balanced diet, grazing animals must cope with other challenges like gastrointestinal parasitism. Many plant tissues contain plant secondary metabolites (eg, tannins) which can greatly benefit animal health if they are ingested at appropriate concentrations. Herbivores are able to recognize this benefit and form preferences for medicinal plants (eg, tannin-containing plants) when sick; ie, they self-medicate. If parasitized herbivores learn to self-medicate, animals offered a variety of pastures would consume tannin-rich vegetation when needed and at the needed doses while grazing other nutritious forages such that their nutrition would not be compromised.From:USUExtensionViews:3 0ratingsTime:56:03More inEducation
