Vemma(R) Wins Seven Awards in the 2012 MarCom Competition

SCOTTSDALE, AZ--(Marketwire - Nov 12, 2012) - Vemma Nutrition Company was recognized with seven awards in the prestigious MarCom Awards competition. Vemma was honored with four Platinum awards, the competition's highest designation, and three Gold awards, recognizing the company's outstanding creative achievements in marketing and communications. Only 18% of the entries receive the coveted Platinum award.

The competition has grown to perhaps the largest of its kind in the world, with over 6,000 entries from throughout the United States, Canada and several other countries in the 2012 competition. A look at the winners shows a range in size from individual communicators to media conglomerates and Fortune 500 companies.

The recently released Vemma 2.0 and Vemma Bod-e mobile apps were both recognized in the awards -- Vemma 2.0 with Platinum, and Vemma Bod-e with Gold. The Vemma 2.0 app allows Brand Partners to prospect, present and communicate in real-time and gives the Vemma brand immense exposure. The Vemma Bod-e 2.0 app features Heidi and Chris Powell, TV Celebrity Transformation Specialists and Vemma Bod-e Spokespeople. The app coaches participants on when and what to eat throughout the day, provides daily video tips and inspirational messages, and helps participants stay on track when they are away from home by suggesting healthy options at the nation's top 20 restaurant chains.
