Danac

Kuala Lumpur Day 2

In our neighborhood in chinatown we enjoy the sense of drinking tea time for reflections. At the chinamarket you'll be confronted from both sides to buy some stuff belts watches wallets shoes shirts dvds and many many more. In Malaysia the most people are in the religious belief of muslim. In KL the 'Masjid jamek' is one of malaysia famous mosque. Before you can get in you've been checked t

A Philippine Finale

I arrived in Manila at 430 AM on an overnight flight from Bangkok. Heeding my guidebook I headed to the neighborhood of Malate where there are many guesthouses but itrsquos still a pretty typical Filipino neighborhood. Itrsquos pretty unanimous that the cities are not the main draw in the Philippines. Likewise Manila is not a beautiful city and has very few sights for a city of its size.

Barbara Weibel once lived the ordinary “must work” life. Her whole world changed forever when diagnosed with chronic Lyme disease. Following extensive treatment, and at 50-something years old, Barbara traded a desk for a backpack. She hasn’t looked into the rearview mirror since.

worst boat everrrrrrrrrrr

Missed our 730am ferry through planned lethargy. We took another car across the island aiming to get the 10am ferry. The 10am ferry came and took about 20 passengers before leaving allegedly still with empty seats. This sufficiently pissed off most of the waiting crowd with one futile group banding together in animosity and uncooperativeness combined with rudeness. The next ferry was allegedl

Melaka means wanker in greek

A slow rise from our luxurious night aiming to take the 115 bus to Melaka couldnrsquot get the 730 or wersquod miss our free breakfast. The plan backfired and added to the travel woes of yesterday when we discovered the bus was full. 530 or a local job to Kluang and a connection. We opted for the latter and headed off on an old school bus style ride to Kluang. When we finally got there 2

Week 2 in Maranatha Villa

So last Saturday four of the crew left the villa leaving just five. Life calmed down quite considerably along with the consumption of rum. We've been making the most of our private beach which is around a ten minute walk down the road. The beach is petty much emtpy most of the time sheltered by a natural breakwater the water is calm and the sand is soft.Trying to remember the sequence of events

Ich mache eine Weltereise. WUNDEBAR Day 41 to Day 52

Bavaria land of BEER Here the culture regarding beer is totally different. It is frequent to see people drinking beer at 10am in restaurants or outside. Everyday average normal people drink beer in trains buses parks and streets. Back home only bums act like this but it is normal here. In Bavaria and the regions around there is plenty of beer halls or gardens. These places can receive hund

"easy going" hike.

This day was always going to be the biggest of the holiday so far but that proved to be a epic understatement. We booked Hide 19 again by recommendation. Bumbun Kumbang was its name I think there is some sort of innuendo in there. We took the riverside walk which was slightly shorter than the inner jungle one as it passed the canopy walkway. Canopy walkway was quite incredibly being 50 metre

Panuba

We emerged from our wooden chalet overlooking the island and beach 11au a night each quite early. Took the 1 hour walk to the main area of the island Tekek but there really werenrsquot that many shops. We saw many of the alternative places to stay and Irsquom very glad we chose Panuba. Itrsquos a little bit out of the way but the real question is out of the way from what. The other area

Panuba to Juara

Took a car over the mountainous island which winds up and up through the jungle over to the less populated Juara. Hopes for better coral were dashed and I was still at a loss to explain an anthropogenic cause for such widespread coral death.

Two trips to the Leaning Tower of Pisa

Pisa is known for one thing. When you hear someone say 'Pisa' you know they are more than likely talking about the Leaning Tower of Pisa. Other than the tower what else is there Well I couldn't tell you. I like all tourists went for the tower. I Came I Saw I Conquored And by conquored I mean I took a picture that makes me look like I'm holding the tower up. Yes that day I was a touris
