Nicole’s Notes Part 2
When we arrived in Oslo Norway we checked into the hotel and then my dad got a phone call from his cousin Jonn. He told us that he was going to met us in a half hour in the lobby of the hotel. When he came went went out for dinner and sat and talked. My dad hasn't seen Jonn except on Skype for over 30 years. The next day we went to Bergen Norway. We took a train to Mrydal then anther trai
George HW Bush Presidential Library
George H. W. BushMy most vivid presidential memory was the first election that I was old enough to vote. George Bush was running against Michael Dukakis in one of the ugliest political campaigns in history. The defeat by the Democrats was astounding and it really did feel like the country had signed up for another four years of Ronald Reagan. I have appreciated immensely the suspension of ju
UK
Just a short note and this might get out of order but we landed safely at Heathrow on July 29th. Lots of security measures to get through this airport if you ever come. British Airways was a great flight and we watched the flight travelling on a GPS map while in the air. Arne just loved that.We bid a sad and happy farewell to the Waaler's and Mero's of Norway on July 28th. We spent 2 fantastic
around the world on a toilet

Nick was a paramedic in Canada. Lianna, a travel agent in Ireland. They both left their careers behind, crammed a bunch of necessary stuff into backpacks and ventured off to Asia for eight months. Guess what, whether together or separately, they haven’t stopped traveling yet. (One question… where is the toilet?)

The Trip prior to Yellowstone.
At Seattle on the way out of Canada we made an abrupt left and headed for Spokane and on through Montana and Yellowstone National Park. You can see the glory of the Lord when he created this earth for mankind and believe me the veiws in this part of the US leave you breathless and in awe.
The rest of the photos as promised
These photos would have been better with the text but hopefully with the notes underneath each one you can make sense of them.I tried to up load a video of the two drivers but it didn't work. I couldn't believe it when on the way to the village the drivers friend squeezed into the seat with him and one steered while the other did the gears. I was not convinced that it was the best time for a dri

When Sydney flies by…
Hey guys Hope everything is good with all of you and you're having better weather then we are thunder storms long term rain and even fog out here down under Both Ed and I are good but need to start packing as tomorrow we head off to even chillier New Zealand so I'll try to keep this relatively short but let me talk you through our last few days.On Sunday we followed a walking tour in our gu
Travelling Pete Update
When I last reported I had just left Longreach last Sunday to move onto Winton a slightly longer trip of about 187 kms. This sector was remarkable for there not being a single sign of any human or animal habitation over the entire journey. The road basically ran parallel to the rail line but I was not lucky enough to sight one of the 3 trains or so a week that use the line.Again the country wa
Last blog from Thailand for 2010 for sanantone.
Well its finally here we leave Thailand in 2 days time for a week in Bali 6 days in Kuala Lumpur then back to Oz. we're sad to leave have had a ball will be back asap. These last few days have been spent in Pattaya which is a 2 hour drive south of Bangkok on the Gulf of Thailand. It has a bad name as there are a lot of old white men with young Thai girls here a very liberal sex scene but

Trip of Giants Pier 39
Liam's request first today The Aquarium On The Bay. We caught the line 47 bus from two blocks up from the Phoenix and found our way to Pier 39. At 10am there weren't many people around. We went straight in to see the nice collection of fish jellyfish sharks etc in tanks and two walking tunnels. They specialised in local fish so not much of corals and tropicals but lots of sea anemones with oth
A Sunny New Start
This adventure Irsquove embarked on has changed my life. Coming back to San Francisco I am giddy. Full circle from the start of my South East Asia journey I can feel myself growing stronger. Somewhere in me there is still a girl who worries about everyonersquos opinions of me. I remember being a little girl who was too worried or indecisive to know what clothing to pick or ice cream flavor
South Central Coast Vietnam
Well after a longer than planned stay in Hanoi it was time to take a sleeper bus to a town called Hoi An this place is famous in Vietnam for being an ancient town full of gift shops and tailors you can get a fully tailored suit with 2 shirts and 2 ties all specified down to the smallest detail for about US250. These suits were the business and if I was coming to the end of my trip i would have
