Salasaca me gusta.

I woke up this morning groggily peeled the curtains back and looked out my window at the snow covered peak of Chimborazo volcano. The clouds had lifted their furry heads to give me the most splendid view of this monolith perched on the edge of a plunging green valley with a river snaking through it spotted with tiny farm houses and a soccer field. After eating my daily bowl of oatmeal with palm

Teaching English

I finally started teaching classes. Well two weeks ago. And let me tell you the classroom dynamics completely changed. My first week observing I noticed a complete lack of discipline towards me and shyness when it came down to asking questions. Finally last week I took 1215 students per group to my own classroom. They opened up to me and trusted me. The way that I presented it to them was that

Travelling Tonito’s Adventures in the Sahara

post thumbnail

What takes someone from South Africa to London to Abu Dhabi to Tripoli? As Tony Fernandes describes it: “six years of relative dullness”. Well, things are no longer dull and it’s all due to “Istanbul and some Gypsies”. Throw in some turtles, interesting taxi drivers and you have yourself an adventure (or two or more).
