Are You In a Trance? – The Good Men Project

After a long day, I used to look forward to relaxing.

Sitting.

Staring.

Idle.

At a lit up screen which captivated me and entranced me.

Sedated me.

I would stare endlessly at this gigantic screen on my wall which told me what to think, cued me when to laugh, and convinced me which emotion to wield at any given time.

This was relaxing.

Numbing, actually.

I have spent thousands of hours of my life being entertained not by design, but by lack of focus.

By default.

Most of this entertainment I cannot recall.

Time lost.

It seemed right at the time. It served a perfect purpose in the moment. It allowed me to be swallowed by inaction, idleness, and decline.

I looked to escape. I had nothing else. I needed escape.

The hours I spent staring hypnotically into a lit-up screen became my life in the hours I did not dedicate to work that I did not want to do.

I made certain that when I was involved in the humanistic trance of entertainment that I was not serving any other useful purpose either.

Not relating with my family.

Not reading.

Not critical thinking.

Not productive activities.

I fully committed myself, completely, to becoming lost in the hypnosis.

The producers knew what I needed to focus on to fully participate in lifewhy should I bother?

Why should I bother to manage my own thoughts?

I should I bother to control my own emotions?

I could just hand them over to someone else.

There are people brilliant people who get paid handsomely to tell me what to think and believe, how to be happy on cue, and what products and services I need in my life.

Why should I bother to manage my own thoughts?

They know better than me.

I turned my life over to them, so they could manage my off-time.

I noticed my family doing the same thing.

I led them and was a shining example of a sedate, unproductive life.

So when the unproductive life I lived manifested a lack of productivity, I found myself with nothing else except an addiction to the trance, and the seeming inability to entertain myself.

My own thoughts were radically painful. They were full of the desire to sedate, chaos and catastrophe, and want for things I did not need.

I caused my own unraveling.

So only when forced, I turned off the screen. I found other things to do.

I read. I exercised. I listened to audio-books of people living an enriched life. I began spending time with incredible people playing life at a level well above my own.

I began the process of regaining control of my thoughts, my beliefs, my emotions, my habits, my character, and my outcomes.

I stopped handing the keys to others to form my thoughts and emotions.

The changes caused pain, hurt, and panic in my family.

Change is hard.

My family fought back.

But I would not regress. I would be the example. I would not waiver.

I was determined for all of us to attain a more enriched life. Sedation detracts from our true nature, our purpose, our dreams.

It was not easy.

Over time, the screen remained dark for longer stretches. We made more trips to the library. We conversed more. We found more love.

We related. Like we were family.

Again.

Everything serves a purpose. When used intentionally to enrich, to connect, to relate, to bond, to produce

everything can serve as a means of creating happiness. Not sedation. Not numbing. Not idleness.

Happiness. Real joy.

The kind of happiness and joy we are meant to find in this life.

Not wasted hours in a hypnotized trance.

Wasted. That you will never get back.

Connect. Love. Appreciate. Enrich.

Employ all earthly assets intentionally and purposefully.

Use everything created and existing to serve, to advance.

Failure to advance, grow, expand, is to stagnate.

And we were not meant to stagnate but to flourish.

By our very nature, we are meant to evolve as we walk our journey.

Evolution of each individual into a High-Performing being is essential for creating the very best life possible.

To attain the best life, you must assume absolute personal responsibility for your outcomes.

And only by assuming absolute personal responsibility, can you allow the perfect unfolding of your true lifes purpose.

And to realize your lifes purpose is the purpose of your life.

Is Bharat Bond ETF a safe bet? Here’s what ICICI Direct has to say – CNBCTV18

The second tranche of the Bharat Bond exchange-traded fund (ETF) in two fixed maturity period investment options will be up for a subscription from July 14, 2020. The ETF will invest in a portfolio of AAA-rated bonds of state-run entities. The new ETFs will be maturing in 2025 and 2031 referred to as Bharat Bond ETF April 2025 and Bharat Bond ETF 2031.

The government intends to raise up to Rs 14,000 crore through this ETF. In its first trance, it raised around Rs 12,400 crore.

In a recent report, brokerage house ICICI Direct said that it is a safe long term tax-efficient option. Bharat Bond ETFs provide a higher degree of certainty of returns (if held-to-maturity) with a higher safety of capital as it invests in government-owned AAA-rated public sector bonds, it added.

With the currently prevailing low-interest rate regime that is likely to continue, a small allocation could be considered by investors looking to lock in safe and predictable returns, suggests ICICI. The indicative yield of the five-year Bharat Bond ETF April 2025 is 5.6 percent and that of the 11-Year April 2031 version is 6.7 percent.

Among the two ETFs, the brokerage believes that the 11-year ETF is better placed in the current environment as it offers a higher and safe return for a longer period. The yield on five-year ETF is lower and investors may instead prefer open-end good quality debt mutual funds, it added.

"The bond ETF will enjoy tax advantage in the form of indexation benefit similar to debt mutual funds (20 percent with indexation). While the actual tax implication depends on future inflation index, tentative after-tax yield could be 5 percent for five-year ETF and 6.2 percent for 11-Year ETF," the brokerage report said.

Edelweiss AMC is managing this ETF. The Bharat Bond ETF is Indias first corporate debt ETF.

The Bharat Bond ETF is a target-maturity bond ETF, which has a defined fixed maturity, investing in bonds with a similar maturity. It will track the newly introduced Nifty Bharat Bond index.

The brokerage also noted that Edelweiss has also launched a fund of fund (FoF) for this ETF to facilitate retail investors to buy/sell like a normal mutual fund. For retail investors, this Bharat Bond FoF is better suited in terms of convenience and liquidity.

Investment rationale

Stability and predictability: A bond like structure with fixed maturity provides predictable and stable returns at maturity

High safety: Investment in public sector bonds

Transparency: Daily disclosure of portfolio constituents and live NAV

Liquidity: Buy/sell on an exchange at any time or through AMC in specific basket sizes. Edelweiss has also come out with a Bharat Bond FoF. It enables retail investors to enter and exit just like mutual funds

avenues. Taxed at only 20 percent post indexation, excluding surcharge

Optic Bloom tend to their own, inclusive universe on ‘Space Garden’ – Vanyaland

Is this it? I dont think I want to be here, utters Flowerthief on Optic Blooms Part Time Friend. The sentiment offers a starting point if not an origin story for the Boston duos debut record, Space Garden.

From that opening line, a new world starts swirling, as Optic Bloom establish their own, separate and fluid universe, filled to the brim with woozy beats bound to no genre. After delivering a holy trinity of singles last year, they shared their debut album Space Garden this past weekend (July 12).

Finally, the musical team of Dephrase and Flowerthief has turned theirvast inner galaxies outward to share with the world and Boston is better for it.

Theres some weirdness, some newness, a sense of futurity which is cool because it implies that people like us who are marginalized for various reasons will not only continue into the future, we will help create that future, Optic Bloom tell Vanyaland.

Strictly on a sonic level, Space Garden makes ample space for the genre experimentalists of the world, a fortuitous push forward for folks who dont see the boundaries of musical styles. And yet, what truly elevates the album into the cosmos is its intricate yet welcoming environment for people who have been sorted into an other category their whole lives.

Thats what makes Space Garden Optic Blooms magnum opus even though this is likely just the beginning of what the pair have to offer.

A lot of our interactions with the external world have made us feel like aliens, Optic Bloom explain. Theres this perpetual sense of un-belonging that I think a lot of people experience, especially people with marginalized identities like black and brown people, queer and trans people, neurodiverse people, poor people, disabled people, etc. It can be really hard to cope with living in a world thatshostile towards you. And so a question we held in this album was, how can we take what we have been given in this outer world, in this outer space, and make it livable, make it thriveable?

The answer to that question is where the space aspect of the album meets the garden angle, melding into a healing ambiance. Field recordings amplify the records remedial bliss: Most of the percussive sounds are derived from water droplets, walking on different natural surfaces (snow, leaves, water, grass, sticks, etc.), and various field recordings, the duo explain.

Aptly, Space Garden puts both members of Optic Bloom and the listener in the position to tend to their own inner and outer spaces, finally able to cultivate and be in relationship with a variety of inner-spatial experiences.

A lot of dharma teachers (like Lama Rod Owens, who is a black queer dharma teacher) talk about liberation and healing from trauma meaning we have more spaciousness in our experience, Optic Bloom say.We have more space around our trauma, our emotions, and our thoughts so were not collapsed into habitual responses to our internal space that can actuallyexacerbate our suffering. We can hold difficult experiences and still be able to move, be able to make choices in how we respond to our internal galactic experience.

Best of all, once the record stakes out space for everyone and it already has it opens up a creative and personal zone that cant be eradicated. Put simply: Gatekeepers Cant Get Rid Of Us now.

Some of the best music ever created in this city is being made and released right now, Optic Bloom notes. But its always felt like Boston music is on the cusp of breaking into the national spotlight, and then it doesnt happen for some reason. We hope that we can contribute to the Boston music scene reaching the next step by releasing something that feels different from anything weve heard before, blending hip-hop and R&B elements with ambient textures, and touching on other genres like trance and house.

Enter the lush bliss of Optic Blooms Space Garden below.

HHY & the Macumbas soundtrack the bonfire at the end of the world – Chicago Reader

No sensible person can argue against the proposition that America is crying out for a cleansing ritual fire. The only grounds for disagreement that I can see concern which oppressive institutions should be fed to the flames first. As it happens, I've recently discovered a wonderful soundtrack for torching prisons of all kinds.

HHY & the Macumbas make just that kind of liberatory music. This Portuguese group have existed in one form or another since 2008, but I learned about them only last month, when Kampala label Nyege Nyege Tapes released Camouflage Vector: Edits From Live Actions 2017-2019 on June 3 (I bought it as part of my July "Bandcamp day" binge). If you know that Nyege Nyege Tapes has also put out two EPs by brilliant drums-and-synths troupe Nihiloxica, whose membership is split between Uganda and the UK, then I'm going to flatter myself and take credit because I mentioned it in these pages nine months ago.

Based in the city of Porto and arising from its multifarious arts collective SOOPA, HHY & the Macumbas have no fixed membership. Nine people are credited on the cover of Camouflage Vector, but I'm only sure that one of them has been involved from the start: bandleader Jonathan Uliel Saldanha, the artist, musician, and composer who founded SOOPA in 1999. His other projects have included Oxidation Machine, a 40-hour immersive noise-and-light installation, and the stage piece Shark: The Celestial Emporium of Benevolent Knowledge, a mock execution of "bodies" created by bundling trash into human shapes.

Some parts of Camouflage Vector were recorded in a club in Barcelos, others inside a huge oil tank on Tenerife in the Canary Islands; two tracks include live contributions from UK dub producer Adrian Sherwood. These aren't songs so much as they are evocationsand what they evoke is a subterranean place, full of smoke and infernal red light but bustling with all types and colors of life. It's the chaotic, left-hand obverse of the daylight world and its sterile, gleaming white-collar rationalizations for exploitation, racism, genocide, and environmental apocalypse.

Frenzied, mutating cycles of hand drums and trap set tangle in a dense polyrhythmic weave beneath sinister smears and screams of brass, while synths buzz and pulse and a kick drum throbs like your heartbeat when you can feel it in your eyes. Everything is bathed in "skull cave echo," as Saldanha puts it. "It comes with a love for trance, otherness, and sound pressure," he explains.

I especially love the dislocating effect of the music's multiple simultaneous metabolic rates. The layers of percussion sometimes phase with one another or slip in and out of sync; the horns move with stately, almost funereal deliberation while everything else boils with deranged fury. All we need now is the biggest bonfire since the Big Bang, so we can all dance around it.v

Once Upon A Time In Iraq: The terrible human tragedies that resulted from the toppling of Saddam – Evening Standard

Hindsight can be a wonderful thing. Especially when a team of documentary makers as intelligent as this is able to put together fascinating archive footage with new material, to tell the tragic human story of the 2003 invasion of Iraq and its aftermath in an original and compelling way.

Director James Bluemel was inspired to make the five-part series after visiting Iraq in 2016, where he had gone to document the refugee crisis, a project that resulted in the BBC2 series, Exodus.

He realised that the human stories he was hearing were the result, directly or indirectly, of the US decision to invade Iraq and remove Saddam Hussein from power, a decision that changed the world forever.

The archive material from boxes of unseen tapes stored in a barn in Wales are brought vividly to life by recent interviews conducted with civilians, journalists and soldiers (not a politician in sight), who were in Iraq at the time and can look back and reflect on what it was like for them then, and what it means to them now.

Um Qusay is one of the civilians whose story features in the documentary (BBC/Keo Films/Gus Palmer)

In episode one, we see Waleed Naysif nervously lighting a cigarette as he describes his aspirations in 2003 when he was 18, as George Bush is shown on television announcing imminent US military action. I was infatuated by the West. I wanted the blue jeans, I wanted the headphones I learned English from movies and songs, Waleed sighs.

For Ahmed Al Bashir, now a famous Iraqi comedian, it was all about trying to look like one of the Backstreet Boys. I was always asking myself why I wasnt born in the Western world.

Um Qusay, a farmers wife who grew up in Al Alam, a village supposedly loyal to Saddam, describes how some people who tried to assassinate him were killed. As she speaks, we see shaky footage of a soldier leading a blindfolded man with bound wrists to sit on a rock, which is then detonated. He used fear to oppress people.

By contrast, Issam Al Rawi, sporting a ginormous handlebar moustache, and calling himself one of the presidents advisors, remembers trying to emulate the man he considered to have charm and charisma that was a gift from God. Cut to an interview with the extraordinary Sergeant Rudy Reays, who swigs from a bottle of tequila, as he flexes bulging tattooed biceps, and recounts what it was like in the elite reconnaissance marines.

No sleep for three weeks, no armour... just very capable, violent professionals, he says, speaking as if in a trance. And if you wanted to say yes to an order, he says, you had to shout kill at the top of your voice.

The most poignant message of this balanced, empathetic documentary, which also comes out this week as a TV tie-in book, is how the dreams of so many ordinary Iraqis who dared to hope that toppling Saddam might result in them having better lives, were so quickly dashed, and how what came next was even worse.

Once Upon a Time in Iraq airs on BBC2, tonight at 9pm

The RADAR 127: Mixed by Matt Fax – Dancing Astronaut

by: Josh HymoJul 13, 2020

Matt Fax is on the front lines of progressive house music with the release his second studio album, Progressions. Released in April via Colorize, a sub-label of the Tritonal-led imprint, Enhanced Music, the 17-track project encapsulates refined bass, melodic soundscapes, and ambient leads alike. The LP arrived on the heels of Faxs provision of support for Jason Rosss 2019 United States tour and his headlining endeavors for global events such as ASOT 900 in the Netherlands.

Now, the French prodigy joins Dancing Astronaut for an exclusive RADAR mix, which will take listeners on a euphoric journey punctuated by the sounds of his latest extended body of work. Kicking off with smooth bass from Progressions Abenaki, Faxs mix includes some of the LPs standout tracks, including a collaboration with trance legend, BT. Fax also weaves in the Space Motion remix of BTs 1997 classic, Remember.

Industry Insider Reveals The Super Rich’s Guiltiest Holiday Habits – DMARGE

Instagram is to Gucci-wearing buccaneers what The Lonely Planet is to shoestring backpackers. Inspiring everything from jealousy to your next #vacay, the platform is fast becoming where you go to decide where to go (plus: where to go when you get there).

Whether youre after the coolest Byron Bay waterfalls, the best Nasi Goreng in Bali or the quirkiest place to pose on the French Riviera, Instagram has your back.

With the world in various stages of lockdown, DMARGE hit up a luxury travel industry insider, Istanbul-based luxury yacht managerCanda Balci, to ask which destinations rich people will be keenest to head back to as soon as ~normality~ resumes.

While Canda told us its a very busy season in Turkey right now thats because his clients can only cruise locally. Once The Pandemic situation eases though, Canda reckons the first places The Super Rich will flock to are: the south of France, Italy, Ibiza, Sardinia and St Tropez.

For one or two years they will stay locally on the Turkish coasts, Greek Islands maybe [which has a more relaxed policy currently in place for visitors] after that very busy days for Ibiza and St Tropez.

Cannes, Antibes, Portofino, and Monaco are also on Canda clients hit lists too.

This information in mind, DMARGE delved into the world of Instagram, to discover what each respective locations hashtag could tell us about its character. Along the way, we discovered what we believe to be some of The Super Richs guiltiest holiday habits.

Have at em.

Known for bars, yachts, clubs and beaches St Tropez hit the big time in the 1950s when Brigitte Bardot arrived to film a movie with her then-husband, Roger Vadim. The places youthful exuberance, arty independence, hedonistic living and topless sunbathing readily secured it a place in most travellers must see locale lists.

The Instagram hashtag St Tropez suggests little has changed, with holiday goers enjoying the sunny French hotspotss natural beauty, local desserts, cakes, shops and sand (theres even a signature St Tropez tan), as well as wishing for a time when theyll be able to return (see: captions like: sooner rather than later and take me back).

Its not just British retirees: the young and glamourous also visit Antibes some of them aboard superyachts (though the exclusive villas the place is known for are not to be sneered at).

One of the guilty habits of the super rich in Antibes, as we reported last week, is boasting a sail boat with fully functioning rigs, then opting to use the diesel motor to get around 90% of the time.

Some, also, allegedly, are too cheap to pay docking fees at Menton, Antibes or Cannes and so stay offshore to dump [their] garbage along [the] seacoast one person claimed in the comments.

Known for its youthful exuberance of a slightly less classy scale, Ibiza is despite its reputation for sweaty trance music and cheap nasty cocktails home to a calm, refreshing landscape, excellent ports for superyachts and of course has exclusive clubs and music experiences most inner ear explorers would sell their soul for.

The Instagram hashtag Ibiza is consistent with this story, showing us holidays guiltiest Ibiza pleasures, as well as what they publically miss the most. The top guilty habits of Rich People In Ibiza? By the looks of it were calling it as: lame captions like sexy is a state of mind as well as taking the time to ~chill~ whilst bragging to your friends about your all-night raving.

Known for, among other things, pristine waters, roast suckling pig and the mafia, Sardinia truly is a pleasure-seekers paradise. But that doesnt stop travellers from making hilarious faux pas (or engaging in some guilty holiday habits). Our favourites?

The natural but staged photo

and the gratuitous selfie.

Lets be real for a second: Portofino is so fine, almost any holiday indulgence can be excused. In light of that, travellers penchant for posting envy inducing scenes, posing in cliche postures and generally living it up while you slave away in an office can actually be forgiven (though some could still do with a tutorial on how to hold court with a wine glass).

Only in Monaco would videos emerge of a holiday goer walking on a treadmill on a superyacht whilst watching formula one.

Your move, Contiki.

Juice WRLD Legends Never Die review: late rappers legacy is overshadowed on crowded posthumous album – NME

Theres a certain familiarity to Juice WRLDs music, even though hes no longer with us. Its easy to force comparisons between other emo, sad-boy rappers, but when Jarad Higgins dropped tracks, they stood out further than anyone else. Elements of his native Chicago, the home of drill music, underpinned his music, despite him singing like the frontman of Wheatus. A sheen of pop enabled him to work within multiple genres and never boxing his sound into one. Unfortunately, this intrinsic element of his success is missing on the posthumous album, Legends Never Die.

Read more:On the cover Juice WRLD: The rap game is so motherfucking soft now

Upon his tragic death from an overdose in December 2019, aged 21, Juice WRLD had redefined a genre in a short amount of time. He crafted his skills on SoundCloud for years beforehand, and his breakout Lucid Dreams earmarked his star potential. A billion Spotify streams and chart dominance certainly helped.

Following a collaborative mixtape with Future (Wrld on Drugs) and a string of hit singles, Juice WRLD went from a SoundCloud rapper to being the rapper others on SoundCloud tried to emulate. Upon release of his second album Death Race for Love, six months before his death, NME called it a moment that solidifies his status as one of raps most exciting new stars.

Juice WRLDs first posthumous album, Legends Never Die, is a sprawling 21-track project that pays necessary homage to the talented rapper, but is too bloated and featured-packed to say much about him. With more than two thousand unreleased songs in the vault, his estate has satisfied fans demand for more from a voice gone too soon. This release ensures that Juices estate is well taken care of, but the album doe little to serve his legacy justice. It sputters and starts like a stuttering engine; its painfully obvious that the creativity behind the work is missing.

Read more: Juice WRLD, 1998-2019 the NME obituary

The albums main themes are those of decadence and debauchery, which serve as a facade for the broken individual inside; Juice WRLD turned to prescription pills to combat his depression and anxiety. Speaking to NME last March, Higgins said that [Drugs] can ruin your whole life. If they dont kill you, they can leave you in a trance for the rest of your life.

On Conversations, Higgins raps about dealing with demons and how he struggled to cope. Here he spits: Sit back in my chair, relaxing and reclining / He has not a care in the world, no, Im lying / Takin all these meds to the face got me flying / Takin all these meds to the face got me dying.

Titanic has Higgins compare his life to the sinking ship while on Bad Energy, he obsesses over drugs to cope with the paranoia, stating: Cant explain this feeling / Kinda feels like Im losing even though Im winning. With lead single Righteous, Higgins chaotic brain is on full display, creating an anthemic track for the fans he left devastated with his death. Over a warm piano, softly plucked strings and snappy hi-hats, Higgins laid-back voice looms large on the chorus: I know that the truth is hard to digest, yeah / Five or six pills in my right hand, yeah / Taking medicine to fix all of the damage / My anxiety the size of a planet.

Throughout the album, Juice WRLD paints both sides of drug dependency, using his own life and addiction as both a warning for others and a sign of hope. The first quarter of the album is a soothing ode to an immense talent gone too soon. But soon the record starts to sprawl and spiral. With a total of 23 producers including Marshmello, Skrillex, Rex Kudo and frequent collaborator Nick Mira its simply too packed. Add to that 40-plus writers and features from Polo G, The Kid LAROI, Trippie Redd and vocals from Halsey and its almost cartoonishly overloaded, like one of those tiny cars dozens of clowns keep piling out from.

Where other posthumous projects have succeeded see the recent Pop Smoke album Shoot For The Stars, Aim For The Moon in ensuring that these larger-than-life characters are accurately represented in their charisma and verve, Legends Never Die falls flat. What mattered most to Juice WRLD and his fans was his voice and his message. Despite the contagious nature of most of the tracks, that message is muted or left jumbled within a meandering album. Juice WRLDs music came to life most when he made it seem like you were the only two people in the room like he was speaking directly to you, the listener. That intimacy is sadly missing here.

There is a sense that this posthumous project didnt heed the very words of the person they were trying to commemorate. Album opener Anxiety quotes an interview in which Higgins summed up his message: This materialistic money stuff dont really mean nothin like, you know my relationship is good, I got money, but theres still other issues to talk about. Too bad his estate wasnt really listening.

The Drive-In Experience will be at outdoor locations near Stowmarket, Thetford and Chelmsford, and will run from July 30 through to September 6. It will offer live music, comedy, movies, laser shows and interactive games, as well as showcasing popular musical acts, artists and DJs, with ex-Pop Idol and West End star Gareth Gates headlining at two dates in Thetford and Chelmsford.

Those attending will watch entertainment on a performance stage and a huge high-tech hi-res LED screen from the comfort and security of their own cars, safe in their own bubbles with family or friends, while audio is delivered via FM frequency through car radios. All events will be run in line with strict Covid-19 social distancing guidelines.

The tour has been set up by East Anglian-based promoter Elliot White of Out of Space Events who said: We want our events to deliver a fun-packed day of entertainment for everyone involved; our goal is to bring people together to enjoy unique experiences and create fond memories with families and friends whilst helping create sustainable employment opportunities for future generations to come.

There will be four days of packed programmes at each location, running every day from noon through to 11pm. Each days events will start from 12-2pm with a family movie or games, ideal for families with younger children; then from 3.30pm to 4.45pm there will be a live tribute band/music act, and into the evening from 6.30pm to 8pm live comedy combined with a DJ set; and then from 9.30pm to 11pm more live music or a movie. This late session will be compred by a talented host and is expected to have a real festival party atmosphere.

The Drive-In Experience venues are at Stonham Barns near Stowmarket from July 30 to August 2; Euston Park outside Thetford from August 20 to 23 and Sandy Brook Fields in Chelmsford from September 3 to 6.

The entertainment will see appearances by live music acts including Kelly Llorenna formerly of N-Trance, Rozalla, Dario G, Urban Cookie Collective and Daft Funk Live, and other tribute acts covering the music of David Bowie, Beyonce and Bruno Mars as well as OASIS Maybe, Wrong Jovi and Kings of Lyon.

Singing star and recording artist Gareth Gates, who starred in musicals such as Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Les Misrables and Legally Blonde after coming to prominence in the 2002 Pop Idol competition, will headline the 3.30pm show at Thetford on Sunday August 23, and the 9pm show at Chelmsford on Saturday September 5.

The movie offering will range from childrens favourites such as Mary Poppins Returns, The Lego Movie 2 and Sonic The Hedgehog, to blockbusters like Mamma Mia, Rocketman, Back To The Future and Grease.

There will also be interactive fun with an inventive take on TV game shows, pub quizzes and quickfire party games, with giveaways and prizes; while live laughs will come from acts such as hip-hop parody comic Mr B, Britains Got Talent comedian Ben Langley and comedy act The Squirrels; and exciting YouTube sensation Tiny Tim.

Social distancing measures will be in place at each location and will also enable event goers to watch the show from outside of their cars if they want to bring picnic chairs. Local food and drink providers will be on hand with orders either available for collection or delivered safe and securely straight to vehicles. The venues will be cash-free and all payments and ticketing will be contactless.

Handwashing stations and toilet facilities with clear safety messaging will also be in place with social distancing measures monitored by on-site staff.

Mr White said: The Drive-In Experience was created to bring a wide selection of entertainment to people who in challenging times want to come together and escape the monotony of everyday life to enjoy valuable times with friends and family in a safe and relaxed environment.

Our giant LED video wall will be one of the main attractions for these unique, state of the art, interactive takes on the ever popular Drive In events. These entirely contact-free performances will contribute in helping restart live events all around the country whilst adhering to government social distancing guidelines.

Tickets for each session cost 35 per car for up to five occupants, with additional occupants charged at 5 extra per person.

‘NOS4A2’ Season 2 Episode 4: Wayne must throw away candy cane taken from Manx, angry fans say ‘you had one job – MEAWW

Spoilers for 'NOS4A2' Season 2 Episode 4 'The Lake House'

This episode was a very daunting one, with Tabitha Hutter (Ashley Romans) almost dying, the McQueen-Carmody family in hiding, and Charlie Manx (Zachary Quinto) visiting Wayne McQueen (Jason David) in his dreams. Vic McQueen (Ashleigh Cummings) has always been overprotective of her son, and her obsession with making sure that Manx doesn't kidnap Wayne and take him to Christmasland resulted in her drinking again, and running way from her family to kill Manx.

The stress seems to have gotten to Wayne, who is tired of his circumstances, and wants a "regular mom." Fans, although sympathetic to the little boy, were upset with the fact he refuses to listen to his mother and stay away from Manx. "#NOS4A2 Manx is not a good man Wayne. Charlie only wants to use you. The only reason your mom is messed up is all because of Manx. Hes a bad influence only wanting to use you to feed his power," tweeted a fan.

If you remember Episode 3 titled 'The Night Road,' where Manx almost got Wayne into the Wraith, Manx had given the little innocent boy a candy cane. Wayne has loved that candy cane since then, and it seems as though it is through this that Manx was able to speak to Wayne in his dreams. In one of his trances where his physical body is with his family and his mind is with Manx, he complains about how he doesn't want to hide anymore as Manx invites him into Christmasland. Manx is fishing for the location where Wayne and his family are hiding. It is then that Vic finds the candy cane and asks Wayne about it. "WAYNE U HAD ONE JOB.... #NOS4A2," wrote a fan speaking of the fact that all Wayne had to do was do nothing with Manx yet he kept the candy cane. "Got dammit Wayne! If you dont throw that candy cane away #NOS4A2," wrote another frustrated fan.

The conversation between mother and son ended up being a harsh one with fans tweeting, "Wayne bout ungrateful as hell.... #NOS4A2." Another one wrote. "#NOS4A2 What the heck, Wayne?! Those were some brutal words you just said to your mom."

"You lie, you disappear and you make dad sad. You suck. I want a regular mom with a regular home," Wayne had told his mom who had only told him, yet again, to not take anything from Manx. Even worse, during his last trance, Wayne had ended up telling Manx, "we are at grandpa's house," another thing he was not supposed to do. "Dont do it Wayne nooooooooo why #[emailprotected]," wrote another fan. 'NOS4A2' Season 2 episodes air on Sundays at 10 pm ET on AMC.

ARTY lets vocals lead the way with new Alpha9 single ‘Tell Me’ – Dancing Astronaut

by: Farrell SweeneyJul 11, 2020

Following the release of Dreams and All That I Can earlier in 2020, Artem Stolyarov, known better as ARTY, has released his third single of the year under his Alpha9 alias. The song is titled Tell Me, and the release is the perfect display of the Russian producers ability to craft euphoric trance singles alongside his commercial leaning ARTY moniker.

The subtle new track is not overly orchestrated. Trance notes with dazzling accents and a kicking backdrop keep Tell Me light and airy. Smooth vocals weave in and out of the production, with an air-tight piano melody serving as the connection point between the production and the vocals. Tell Me is more vocal-led than many of his previous Alpha9 releases, making the song a distinctive addition to his catalog of releases.

Tell Me is out now via Anjunabeats.

Each guest will bring three records that are meaningful to them, and Hill will pick a record of each of her guests that defines why shes chosen to interview them.

Speaking on her decision to start a dance music-focused podcast, Hill has said, My love for dance music started when I was a child. Some of my earliest memories are hearing trance music in the charts and later being heavily influenced by the eclectic tastes of my big brother.

When I finally turned 18, I started to wonder if rave was now different to what it was and whether Id missed out on the golden days of rave. So, I thought Id talk to some of the legends in the game and get an education on how music was made, listened to, and the rave scene before I was even born.

The Art Of Rave will be available to stream on all platforms from Monday July 6. Listen to the podcast introduction here.

Space Corps Falling Out Of The Sky – EDMTunes

Remember the mysterious Space Corps from EDC Las Vegas at Quantum Valley last year? They have a new single out titled Falling Out Of The Sky. It is nothing short of trance bliss. Yes, we are all about the new music influx right now.

Angelic vocals start off the track, lyrics so sweet you can hear the trance in your soul. Percussion soon enter, and synths back them up. A progressive build up echos and the most melodic of drops happens. Enamor yourselves with the surging synths. It strikes a perfect balance between the high-energy drop and tender breakdown. You will definitely feel like falling out of the sky when you hear it.

Guesses of who the artist might be surfaced through a Reddit post last year. Armin van Buuren, Adam Beyer, i_O, Andrew Rayel all came up. Could it be an alias? Right now, all we have are cryptic tweets, IG posts, and a website. We welcome all answers, as we want to get down to the bottom of this! Though, we can appreciate the mystery and as long as new music like this keeps coming our way. We are here for it.

While we do not know who this artist it, they have appeared on a multitude of A State of Trances. From the 2019 Year Mix to 963, 967, and 958, they even graced Rayels Find Your Harmony Radioshow #203. Surely, it has to be someone they know. If not, we want more from them so we can be in the circle.

It is anyones guess at this point. With only four singles and EPS total that have been released, we eagerly await for more. Join the Space Corps by following the above links. Listen to their latest track below. We think youll like it as much as we do.
