Sometimes inspiration strikes out of the blue, and sometimes it is found in another persons story. For the poet Yosipa, it came through her own challenges growing up, and she has created an evocative, honest and heartfelt compilation of poems in her new book, Share My Soul: A Gift to the World (published by Balboa Press).

Written and compiled over 20 years, the topics range from family and relationships to nature and society. Share My Soul is a collection of more than 50 poems that reflect the authors journey through a difficult childhood, discovering spirituality and other life experiences.

Most of the works in Share My Soul were inspired by Yosipas time in Byron Bay, Australia, where she lacked access to television and other electronics. The absence of technology allowed her to look inward and explore her creative spirit. The book inspires readers to not only reflect and interpret the poems in their own way, but also to discover and share their own creativity.

I wrote most of these poems during a period of reflection in the beautiful and vibrant Byron Bay, said Yosipa. My past experiences, negative and positive, were exposed and I felt inspired to share my take on healing, love and community.

Alices Woodland Easter Egg Trail at Loyola Hall Jesuit Spirituality Centre takes place on Easter Monday

The last event to mark the closure of a famous Merseyside spirituality retreat centre has sold out.

The 500 tickets for the Alices Woodland Easter Egg Trail at Loyola Hall Jesuit Spirituality Centre, at Rainhill, on Easter Monday, sold out within a few weeks of going on sale.

Loyola Hall, a Regency- style mansion built in 1824 and run by the Jesuits for residential and day religious spirituality courses for the last 91 years, will be put up for sale after the family event.

The Alice In Wonderland theme will make full use of the Halls 20 acres of gardens and woodland, with the White Rabbit greeting children at the gates, an Easter Egg hunt, croquet on the lawn and the Mad Hatter and Caterpillar telling stories in the grottoes.

Money raised by the Easter Egg Hunt will be split between Willowbrook Hospice, St Helens staging the Rainhill Gala on May 26.

Steve Clarke, Rainhill Gala chairman, said: Were staging the Easter Trail at Loyola Hall as we knew it was closing and this could be the last time the public can look around.

We set a limit of 500 tickets but cant believe the demand which has been huge and theyve all gone within a couple of weeks.

It makes a great start to the Rainhill Gala fundraising and were also holding a barn dance at Rainhill Village Hall on April 12, to raise more money.

Loyola Hall was the family home of the Brethertons, who owned much of Rainhill. Devout Roman Catholics, they bequeathed the Hall to the Jesuits in 1923.

Lines between spirituality and politics seems to have blurred in 2014 Lok Sabha elections. The Art of Living (AOL) leaders, teachers and volunteers are not leaving any stone unturned to ensure victory of AOL preacher turned politician Maheish Girri, who is fighting on Bharatiya Janata Partys ticket from east Delhi.

The eleventh hour frantic call, made by email, calls and SMSs has been made by the AOL machinery asking volunteers and supporters to devote one day to nation and come to east Delhi for last minute campaigning.

Girri, who joined BJP in November, is fighting a tough battle against two time sitting Congress MP Sandeep Dikshit and Mahatma Gandhis grandson Rajmohan Gandhi, who is fighting on Aam Aadmi Party ticket.

Team of AOL supporters are working in all ten assembly segments of the east Delhi parliamentary constituency going door-to-door to ensure votes for Girri. The AOL volunteers have set up a target to reach maximum voters in the next two days stating that it is now or never.

The email, sent on Monday night, reads, Poojya Gurudev (Sri Sri Ravi Shankar) is putting lot of focus on these elections and especially so in East Delhi. Recently 12 Swamis/Rishis have also been sent to East Delhi to work in slums. So let us all gear up and pick up our seva for next two days.

Let us jointly resolve to ensure that Maheish Girri Ji wins East Delhi seat with handsome margin for bringing in transformation in India under the leadership of Narendra Modi ji, the email added.

The email to supporters then provides the contact numbers of leaders of AOLs teams working in the 10 constituencies to intensify the one to one contact with all voters from a booth.

The email also shows that teams from different areas are handling different assembly seats. For instance, a team from Gurgaon is handling the campaign work in Vishwas Nagar assembly seat and so on there are teams from Indirapuram, Ghaziabad, Noida and other areas in Delhi.

A number of spiritual and devotional programmes are being taken up by different organisations as people from all walks of life are taking a keen interest in them.

Noted spirituality propagator Chaganti Koteswara Rao delivered discourses on a wide range of subjects during a three-day programme held at the Kasturdevi gardens here.

Devotees, particularly women and girls, thronged the venue in large numbers to take part in the devotional programmes and to listen to Mr. Koteswara Rao.

In his messages, he called upon people to allot at least some time for their own spiritual uplift despite their busy schedule. During this visit, Mr. Koteswara Rao also held the Jaganmatha Kathyayani puja in which devotees participated.

Speaking on the power of spirituality, he said that every person should make it a point to enquire about all gods during their visit to any place of worship. The vedic pundits of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams blessed Mr. Chaganti Koteswara Rao on the occasion.

The Sri Bharadwaja Rudrabhisheka Sangham, which organised the programmes, felicitated Mr. Koteswara Rao on the occasion.

Set aside time for spiritual growth
