Nokia’s super hydrophobic nanotechnology at Nokia World 2011 – Video

Nokia's latest "super" hydrophobic coating doesn't take half-measures. This new technology binds a layer of nanotech magic to the surface of its devices that literally bounces liquids away. Although we've been told the nanotubes at work here are most effective with water, other liquids (and smudgy fingerprints) should also find the treated surface difficult to latch onto.

TCUs Nanotechnology Lab BionicMe – Video

In the Texas Christian University Nanotechnology Lab, Chemistry Professor Eric Simanek has developed a method of delivering precise doses of chemotherapy drugs directly to tumors, bypassing healthy tissue. Preliminary trials (on rats) look promising: A rat with a tumor was treated with the "nano-chemotherapy" and its tumor disappeared in a matter of weeks! The premise behind this therapy is not new--it has been worked on before--but the results from these trials look very promising.
