Parios Regenerative Sciences, Inc. Licenses Exclusive Rights to Organic Nanotechnology for Skin Repair

CONCORD, Mass., Nov. 1, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Parios Regenerative Sciences, Inc., a privately held medical device company specializing in the development of biomaterials for skin repair and regeneration, has entered into a comprehensive license agreement with Brown University, licensing exclusive rights to a proprietary organic nanotechnology for use in dermatological applications. The nanotechnology, Oderm, has clinical relevance in cosmetic skin rejuvenation, dermatological applications, and advanced wound care.

"Our agreement with Brown is a significant milestone for Parios," stated Mark Johanson, President and Chief Executive Officer. "The Oderm technology shows great promise in advancing the field of skin regeneration for both aesthetic and wound care applications. We are committed to the commercial and clinical success of this novel skin care product."

Under the terms of the agreement, Parios has obtained an exclusive license to a platform of intellectual property and technologies co-developed by Dr. Thomas Webster, former associate professor of engineering at Brown.

"We are enthusiastic to have partnered with such an experienced and accomplished team at Parios," said Katherine Gordon, Managing Director of the Brown University Technology Ventures Office, "and look forward to successful development of the product."

The Oderm biomaterial consists of organic nanomolecules that self-assemble into structures resembling collagen a major component of skin. Using these organic structures to replace degenerated or damaged skin encourages the growth of natural tissue. The company's goal is to provide off-the-shelf materials that regenerate healthy and functional tissue and offer a repair that lasts the life of the patient.

About Parios Regenerative Sciences, Inc.

Parios is a privately held company located in Concord, MA focused on the growing market of skin tissue regeneration. The company is developing the Oderm product line to compete in the non-invasive skin care market, by offering injectable and topical solutions to stimulate collagen regrowth. Current products are in the preclinical phase of development. With Oderm and other advanced biomaterials in the pipeline, Parios offers a modern alternative to existing skin repair therapies.

NanoMalaysia, IBM Ink Nanotechnology R&D Pact

By Mohd Haikal Mohd Isa

JOHOR BAHARU, Nov 2 (Bernama) -- NanoMalaysia Bhd and IBM Malaysia today inked an agreement for research collaboration in nanotechnology design and development over a two-year period.

NanoMalaysia Chairman Prof Emeritus Datuk Dr Zawawi Ismail said this strategic cooperation would leverage world-class technology and expertise from IBM, complementing Malaysia's nanotechnology ecosystem.

"This will go a long way to raise the bar on intellectual property development and the nanotechnology industry as we journey through a knowledge-based economy and contribute one per cent of the country's Gross National Income by 2020," he told reporters today.

The announcement and document exchange was held during the Iskandar Malaysia Sustainability Summit 2012 here.

NanoMalaysia was represented by Zawawi and IBM Malaysia by its Managing Director Ramanathan Sathiamutty.

NanoMalaysia Bhd is a corporate entity under the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation.

The collaboration, said Zawawi, includes research into the use of Malaysian-made Graphene and Aerogel for commercialisation, as well as testing IBM's anti-microbial star polymer tachnology for healthcare applications.

27-Medical BiotechnologySG Part II.Gene Therapy, Tissue Engineering and Nanotechnology.mov
In theory, gene therapy offers a straight forward to the molecular treatment of various diseases, by using genes to prevent or treat disease by: Replacing a mutated gene(s) with a healthy copy; Inactivating/knocking out a mutated gene; or, Introducing new gene. Gene Therapy offers an approach to treating disease by either modifying the expressions of an individual #39;s genes or correction of abnormal genes. While this seems straight forward (ie replace or supply a healthy insulin gene in pancreatic cells of a diabetic) it has been difficult to actualize. Think here also about dual use problems (ie genetic doping for athletes, genetic modification enhancement for military personnel, and germline genetic engineering of humans with heritable genes). in this section we also review tissue engineering and some of the possibilities for nanotechnologies in medical devices. Biological beings cannot survive deep space travels or warp drive, as they will acquire brittle bone disease and irreversible tissue damage, he said. So, one solution, he detailed, is using applied nanotechnology, which is to say loading millions of microscopic nano-assemblers, microsurgical bots and nanites with default medical support programming into each individual space traveler. Such technology would in effect turn the astronauts into cybernetic organisms or cyborgs, he noted. This correlates with reports of certain #39;Grey #39; ETs who #39;ve been described as being partly robotic, as well descriptions of the Roswell craft and aliens, in which the vehicle and flight crew were said to be merged into a "combined being," McDonald cited. We #39;ve already passed one point of no return-- the melting of the North Pole; this will change the way our descendants experience the planet, Kaku declared. The polar melting will cause more release of methane, possibly setting up a "positive feedback loop" that will further warm up tundras, he explained. The genome of Neanderthals has been mostly mapped out, and an egg created from their DNA could potentially be gestated in a chimpanzee, in order to recreate a Neanderthal, Kaku noted, adding that no laws are in place yet to guide this kind of mind-boggling experimentation. On the technology front, he pointed out that by 2020 when Moore #39;s Law of computing power has reached its peak, the subsequent stagnation could lead to an economic depression. However, if quantum computing is successfully developed, it could offer a leap forward in sophistication and ability. Nanotechnology, he said, holds out promise to revolutionize ...From:zigdogshowViews:17 1ratingsTime:02:36:48More inEducation

Chemtrails-nanoparticles, Brain Chips, programmed with frequencies, nano-tech in needles. – Video

Chemtrails-nanoparticles, Brain Chips, programmed with frequencies, nano-tech in needles.
Be prepared to be shocked...some scientists researching Morgellons Disease, have noted that the unusual wire filaments growing from the crystals formed in the lesions are very difficult to destroy and identify. There have been suggestions that the chemtrails have nano-particles in the spray we eventually breath. Nanotechnology particles can have convergent qualities, meaning the nano particles can be attracted to each other and combine to form larger units inside us. Miniscule machines that can pass through cell walls. Nano particles can be introduced via needles or even our food supply. They are conducting experiments in a Kentucky mental hospital with implants on patients without the patients knowledge. They are spraying the worlds population in a massive clandestine program but it is officially denied.
